Standing (of the floating one)

I don't really have time right now to go through the quickchat menu and correlate it with our list of emotes to see what's missing. I also can't add any emote that's restricted by a badge, vet reward, invention, or booster pack.
But if someone would like to give me a list of emotes that everyone can use but aren't in the quickchat menu right now...I'll add them in.

Hey BaBs. I remember awhile ago, there was this one emote I cant seem to find.
It had a standing version and a kneeling version to it. It was kinda like research but instead of a book... I think you were welding or using some kind of item.
Did you list that and if so, which one is it?
Also, if its not, am I just out of my mind or was there once that sort of emote?

Actually, you have many duplicates in there. You list 285 emotes, but there are only 206 even if you inclue "Dance" "Ledgesit" "Handsup" and "Surrender" which trigger a random one of a subset...

If this is part of the devs plan to reduce spam, I have to say I'm impressed.

If it's more then a few hours work to write and do programmer testing you need new programmers.

This is another example of why I don't bother testing and reporting on Beta because I feel that my work does not yield the desired result of catching bugs in beta testing - is there another reason for reporting bug in beta other than the DEVS fixing them before they go live?
Are we really supposed to feel excited about playing a beta and reporting bugs if they go live and continue to be issues long after going live?

A fix is being implemented internally, but probably won't see the light of day until after Issue 15 is launched.

You say that (and I believe you mean it) but it's never felt like it. Unless you're liked enough to be noticed and get the mythical "Bug" badge, a bug report is shouting down a well - I get a mail that says "Why yes, we got the error but we can't tell you if you're right, if we're working on it - heck, we can't even tell you if it's NEW!"
After years of on and off play on Test I've deleted my test version. It just didn't seem worth it. -

It's not that it's ignored, it's that they know bases are pretty messed up and they don't (yet) have the time to fix them. They need a serious re-vamp from the ground up and they've got make sure those that already have them won't be hurt by a major change. -

Now, for a request for something that's been ignored:
In honor of the fifth anniversary of "City of..." any account that has not been logged in for five years will have all thier character names "released" similar to the level 6/inactive for 90 days policy.
I know this shouldn't have a huge effect... -
If you mean "doors just stuck to walls as decoration" then the devs could do that.
If you mean "doors that provide access from one area to the next" then no - you won't see them for the foreseeable future. -
Mirrors would be a MAJOR change to the game engine. They'd have to make the mirrors so blurry they'd really be like that ugly metallic finish all over Grandville.
Doors would be nice, but they'd screw up raids so I wouldn't bet on them. -

I can understand the negative on that for the cycle. No matter the character, I generally don't like more then one or two on them (three if you count the default flight.) The problem wasn't the poses; it's that everyone liked different ones and the only way to get the one you liked was to start-stop-start-stop-start-stop...

I would expect walks to elicit much the same type of response. Compounding that is aside from making a different walk for the male, female, and huge body types the possibility of doing multiple styles of walking for each is so un-feasible it's essentially impossible.

I'm not sure how may styles of walk we're talking about. "No books" "with Books" maybe. What else would there be? (Okay, and the "Azrial Strut" - the Hokey Pokey is a DANCE though!)

Prestige Power Slide and the other sprints are sprint with particle effects. Prestige Power Slide also has a "Get into/out of slide stance" which has been in the game for a REALLY long time. -
Animations are the problem, not the rules. "All you'd need to do" (yes, it's an evil phrase) is debuff speed down to 25% (or so). Regular movement (non-run sprint) then becomes the "standard" walk. If you activate any movement power it deactivates "walk" simlarly to how Flight/Hover and Combat Jumping/Super Jump work. Hit walk while Speed boosted and you look like an early silent movie. If you do it over Spikes, you look like the Bionic Man.
Oddly, I'd like this fix for those that don't understand "Please Don't Hit Me with Speed Boost!"
The only fix for animations is to make them. There's no help for art stuff but to DO them and that ALWAYS takes work.

Ah, yes! Issue 15:Where It All Began! When they roll back every single non-nerf change they've ever made and change our characters back to level 1. They're still being kinda vague on if they let us keep badges or not, though.

I can't argue, but this is initial release if the Architect. If it goes well MAYBE they'll fix it correctly and let us put the tiles together, but it may take a while - I recall MANY maps over the years that the devs released that didn't QUITE mesh correctly and had black "veils" between rooms.
As I said, I really wanted what you describe for bases. Or let us move into an abandoned 5th Column base! Something other then blandness of what we've got.
At least there's going to be a few more initial maps then there are for Arenas.
