Dude....it's an alternate reality. Not only could the clockwork king not be a psychic, he could be a women, a different race, or not exist at all.

So from the previews, videos, and bios they've released so far....I'm thinking Tyrant and his army from the alternate world will actively be attacking our world. I wonder if it will be like Rikti invasions as far as how the war is carried out. I also wonder if any zones will be redone to look as though they are the frontline of a war.

There is plenty to do in CoX, but if you don't care about character customization....there are alot of games out there that are better than this one. If you took the character customization out of this game, I pretty sure it would have failed in it's first year. How many people would have stuck with this game for 5+ years if you had to choose from 20 premade characters?
Why do you think power customization and weapon customization were such huge success stories? Why after 5 + years is there still costume contests every single day?
It's not really an opinion. This game's biggest attribute is the character creation. This was true on release, and it's true now. -
You guys are hillarious. Costumes and character creation in general is this game's biggest selling point, always has been. If you don't enjoy spending hours creating just the right look for your hero/villain, you are in the minority. I for one would have never even started playing this game if the character creation hadn't sucked me in.
Honestly, if you don't care what your character looks like.....why are you even playing this game? There are plenty of better games out there, if customizing your character isn't important to you.
Anyway, don't assume anyone else feels like you. You are the minority in this fanbase. -
To whomever it may concern at NCSoft,
Please take notice as to how much excitement and happiness you cause within your player base by simply releasing a screenshot and a background story. There is no excuse for 2-3 month gaps with no updates at all. It takes so little to do so much. Please try to release some new news every couple weeks. No matter how small, any little tid bit of info like this goes a long way in curbing pestimistic feelings about this game and fustration in general.
Just one players opinion.

In any case I've never really found graphics to be mandatory for fun. They can certainly enhance a game, but they really aren't necessary. -

I remember when this game was fun.....like 3 years ago. This game is so bland and outdated. The time between issues is way to long. They only thing left to do with this game is argue the same boring arguments on these forums that have been argued for 5 years now. I look at the art and new tech in upcoming MMOs, and I wonder how anyone can stand playing this game anymore.
I figure I'll mess around with GR for a month or two....untill Star Wars Old Republic MMO comes out. Then this 5 year vet is gone for good. Wish they'd just admit this game is old and outdated and start on a new one. -

Same here Chris. Been doing that for almost a year now. I haven't cancelled my monthly subscription out of laziness to be honest. Think I'll go ahead and do that and come back a few months after GR is out. I'll keep my fingers crossed that I fall in love with the game again.
This is the only MMO I have ever played, and for the first two years I loved this game. The problem is I can't find any MMo to take it's place. I've been bored with this game for so long now, but I hang on because I miss having a game I really love to play. I'm hoping either GR makes this game feel fun and new again, or I find a new game soon that excites me like this one did once upon a time. -
Nope. Real content is actual real content. Booster packs, changing power colors, and other quality of life changes are very nice, but they are fluff. I'm talking about new zones, events, factions, ATs, powers. Killing the same thing in the same mission for the 100,000 time with a different hat or different colored energy beam is not new content.
Like I said, I'm pretty much over this game. It's gotten old and stale. Here is to hoping GR breaths some life into it for people like me. -
No. I mean there has been no new zones or real content added in ages. Honestly, after five years I think I'm finally done with this game. I'm just keeping my subscription going in hopes that GR is awesome and gets me excited about this game again.

I feel the PO. I check the forums once a week and am always disappointed to see the same post from weeks before still there. In the last 3 months we had the holiday events and the ninja booster pack....but I'm just bored as hell. I haven't even logged in for at least 3 months...or since Halloween anyways. I doubt I'm the only vet that has become bored. GR is taking forever. Another booster pack would help, but I doubt I'll log in again untill GR goes live. I just can't redo the same content anymore.

I wish they'd do something...anything. I remember getting all excited about GR a few months ago, but it seems like nothing interesting has happened with this game in forever! The highlight of the last 6 months was ninja run.

Seriously, while Chris had a long stint writing X-Men and was involved in the creation of several memorable characters, he's not an artist. He's a writer.
