There are some things that I like better about these boards and somethings that I really hate about them.
Editing/formatting text is much easier.
The forums log me out quite quickly. The seem to think that I'm inactive while I'm writing a post and log me out. This really is a pain.
The old forums use to crash my messages sometimes. When I'm not tired, I always do a copy-text before I try to post because even the old forums tended to lose my longer posts. (very frustrating). Now I don't only lose the post, I also am no longer logged into the forums. (Royal Pain).
If you can tweak the inactive-to-auto-log-out period, it needs to be done yesterday.
Many of us actually think about what we are posting here (I know it doesn't seem like it sometimes) and so we spend time trying to post what we mean to be saying - and that can take some time.
Okay, it seems that my post in this thread was deleted - I guess some poeple don't want negative posts here.
Anyways, I am not a fan of the 'use your ingame username/password, not your forum ones' that is still here.
But moreso, I'm not impressed that our sig lines is now limited to 5 lines! It used to be 300 characters, and I made sure that my sig was within those confines. Now I can't even modify it unless I want to blow up more than half of what I've put in there. I mean, I don't have any graphics in my sig, and those who do but have fewer lines have larger sigs than mine.

I too used the Select-all/Copy habit on the UBB forums due to losing long posts, and still do in some cases, but the only post I've lost so far was due to me losing my internet connection while I was typing the reply and not realizing it until AFTER I'd hit the Submit Post button. And it wasn't really a long one.
Since I use links a lot in troubleshooting posts, I often take a really long time to create my posts, and again, I've not had the problems with getting logged out.
We have a thread in the Technical Issues and Bugs forum for Firefox users, but it doesn't seem to have come up with a recognizable pattern to what is causing the problems for some but not others.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

I really like what I can do with my sig thanks to the new forums, I can have my little spiel for my main toon and then include images linking to my Badge Hunter and CoH Faces.
Thanks dev's for giving us access to yet another great QOL feature 
Well, got some problem logging on, but here I am. Must say that I miss some swell topics we used to have back on the continent. Anyway for now.

The Quick Reply box down the bottom is really rather pointless, if you have to click on something ELSE to start a Quick Reply...Uhm, hello? Also, the smilies look far from smooth at the moment. Pixelated edges much.
Also, logging in was a pain. It didn't say which username or password to use.
Still, here we are again!
Now, hand over all your tech gubbins.

I miss the old board front page where all of the board sub-categories were expanded and I could scroll through all of the boards without having to open any specific board category. Any chance of getting that interface back?

That is already an option. Click on the Category "English" and it should expand all the forums within. Once expanded, bookmark that page and then everytime you click on that bookmark you will get the expanded page.
I kept following the wrong link so I was still "waiting" for the new forums >.< I even followed CoH on twitter; no idea how I could have missed it. Oh well, it's here now and so am I

opens up new boards, enters in user name & password, checks off "remember me" get's thank you for logging in we will take you back to the page you where viewing discovers did not actually get logged in
repeat above stepsx5 on different sections of the boards
goes to post this, is asked to log in again, now apparently I'm logged in?
What am I doing wrong, are we not supposed to be able to be logged in while just viewing the boards? Are we only allowed to log in after we post a reply to something?
Ahhh I see, we aren't allowed to log into the boards.cityofvillains.com site, only the boards.cityofheroes.com site. So if we aren't allowed to log into the CoV boards why even bother keeping the link up?
It's very nice to see the forums back and all the new options available. I'm also very happy to see things like images can be put in posts. Yay! Now if we can just get youtube embeds in here it'll be great. Imagine how the fan videos thread would look if that were available.
The forums look great and my compliments to those individuals who worked hard to get them up and running.
I'm confident they'll iron out many things (if possible, of course) such as: disabling sig pictures ONLY, login password vs. game password, etc.
Perhaps we just need to give them some time... and in the meantime be grateful we have the forums back up!

This looks like someone downloaded a Joomla plug-in and called it a day. Too many sections to navigate, Too hard to read (colors and sizing) and too much visual clutter. I am glad they updated the software to add more current features but it needs some work on the interface.
Also....
User CP sounds like it was thought up by some IT guy. Why not rename it OPTIONS so people actually know what it is. User CP means nothing to anyone
I'm sure it means User Control Panel to at least some of us...

Yeah, and us Windows users still haven't figured out what a Control Panel is for.

Probably not a big deal, but threads created before the change over do not register "views" correctly as far as I can tell. Click a thread, go back to the main page, hit refresh > view column stays the same. It appears to only creep up if a new post is actually made.
Threads created after the change register "views" as they should.
I've already forgotten about most of you
