    You have pretty much summed it up. It is unbelieveable. What is more wonky is that even after this "maintence" they often come down the next day AT THE SAME TIME for a patch.

    Then add to that the fact that there is no ANNOUNCEMENT on the login screen that this is even happening, plus the out of date server status page and you have a company that looks sloppy and like it doesnt care. Every other game I have ever played tells you at log in or when you get to the server selection. You dont havfe to guess and wonder.

    They really arent being competitive in a tight gaming market.

    I bet its the same people (aholes) who feel the need to report AE missions as farms. They are being vigilantes and trying to "Save Atlas" so they can hang out under the statue and chit chat without all the riff raff.

    Well..... Its not just players with rubbernbanding and synch issues. I was on one mission and one of the mobs was clearly rubberbanding. I asked the team if they saw it too and they did. So you have 8 people with different ISPs seeing the same thing at the same time. That means its on NC's end. When EVERYONE in one location mapservs at the same time its on NCs end.
  5. Its happening every 5-10 minutes now... if peopel are causing they are doing it on purpose
  6. I think some AE vigilantes are doing on purpose!

    But its not just crash/DC .. there are ROLL BACKS as well so it pretty serious. they have had over 6 hours to fix this but no patch in site. This game just gets more and more rundown.

    User CP sounds like it was thought up by some IT guy. Why not rename it OPTIONS so people actually know what it is. User CP means nothing to anyone

    yeah.... or they could add that feature.

    This looks like someone downloaded a Joomla plug-in and called it a day. Too many sections to navigate, Too hard to read (colors and sizing) and too much visual clutter. I am glad they updated the software to add more current features but it needs some work on the interface.

  11. Generators have apparently dissappered from all the object lists. This happened when they did a fix last week. I have like 4 different maps that use them and the replacements just dont look right.

    Who thought this up? You have people getting XP hand over fist thru AE and your going to add a Double XP week end on top of that? Is this so all the holier-than-thous can catch up?

    Its not going to get people "playing" again if thats the intent.

    Just seems like a stupid thing to do if you are supposably upset about farming and people leveling too quickly.

  16. I think Vines needs some (re)work. I intially tought it was going to be another plant option but its more or less a decorative overlay. The pants are similar to other items and the chest version was a bit too subtle. I didnt even notice the pattern at first.

    Maybe simply renaming it would not lead people to believe its going to be great for their creepers

    Only in the same sense that when I walk across 5th Avenue in Manhattan I'm headed toward Los Angeles. There are many people who use the AE for other things than maxing reward rates.

    I think that's the kneejerk reaction that's happening here, definitely. It's not like there were no missions before AE. If you want reward rates, I could point to a dozen TF crews that run 'em nightly, even with AE in full bloom.

    If you want fresh storylines, and the opportunity to make your own? Architect, baby. Sure, you can make a farm. But can you make a story people will enjoy? Which one is more rewarding to you as a whole?

    The problem with TFs is that

    1) Most of us have done them to death
    2) They require certain levels to join or get xp
    3) Your team is locked in so you cant add members or change the line up
    4) They take a lot of running around and Kill 50 X to spawn the next mission.
    5) Getting more inps can be a total pain
    6) It takes X# of members to activate. My 50 spends most of his time online acting as filler so teams can get TF missions.
    7) One person drops and the entire thing can be over.
  18. The problem is that that doesnt always fit there "stories" we are supposed to be telling.

    Some groups have bosses that are hard leveled at 51-51 or 53-53 etc. They just dont always fit with your story.

    There is a SIMPLE and ELEGANT solution to all of this. Just remove levels entirely from MA. Everything in MA is considered level 50. Everyone can team with everyone else and play all maps.

    The issue here is the Devs considering X mob to be say level 25-30 when in reality there is nothing keeping it from being what ever level it is assigned. This is a contraint from the devs system of trying to make fighting CoT at level 10 different than at level 40; trying to make the game seem fresh and eveolving. That works maybe the first couple of runs thru the levels but cuts out content you might have enjoyed. This conceit is one of the things I had hoped MA would eleviate.

    The toons who are effected by this are the higher level ones since the lower ones can play what ever MA maps they choose but higher levels have to go down and not get XP or other rewards and have powers greyed out and be at the mercy of when they choose what during respec.
  19. If I read the notes right... doesnt this also mean that level 50's only get rewards for maps that the mobs are above 50?.

    I know as a 50 the only reason I play is for tickets. Looks to me like all this does is encouarge MORE farm type maps and only using about 5% of the standard mobs. Really hard to tell "stories" under those contraints and give 50s anything worth their time aside from boss farms.

    But I went in to finish an arc and it looks like Jeer is now missing. I caught this because just last nite I set all my mobs to jeer. This morning, not there.

    Anything else gone missing? Bug or intended?

    I found jeering in ENEMY GROUP animations but it isnt an option for bosses anymore from what i can tell
  21. I dont think most people even have any clue on how tickets are awarded. Some just give out more because of the odjectives some missions have. I am sure ticket framing is happening but I dont think most people are conciously doing this.

    The problem here is that most people wouldnt notice this happened. But word will spread that its been "nerfed" and will be another nail in the MA coffin since that will be all most people even know about tickets.

    Something the devs dont seem to get for all the carebear whining is that "farms" take skill and time to complete. The have a really clouded view or risk/reward. Most of their maps are way easier to mow thru for these same teams. I have to make sure I have lots of room from enhs, recipes, and salvage when running normal cakewalk missions.

    The bottom line is that people care about XP more. once that is nerfed MA is dead to all but the crowd who hung out in Atlas before AE gave anyone any reason to be there.
  22. I had this same issue because I had to use a particular Villain for the "story" on one particlar arch. I just went with it. Oddly the same character exists at a higher level but with different graphix and allignment.

    The issue most people have with being reduced to a lower level is that some powers blank out.... The problem here is that people respec so much and you are at the mercy of what order you choose things during respec. I usually choose powers by what is ging to give me the max benefit to adding slots

    The problem here is the Devs forcing people to lose powers rather than just reducing them to the current level.

    My rule of thumb is that i try and stick with Mobs no lower than 40. By 40 most everyone has all their powers except for pools so its not as bad as being reverted to say 30.

    What the devs need to do is allow us to break their level conventios for mobs. Some make no sense. Just make the level 30 a level 45 if the map calls for it. There are usually comporable mobs with he same power set. This is a hold over from the eraly development which believed that you fought X mob at X level the it vanished.

    I had a good story I unpublished because if the mission leveled to 45 the mobs switch over to what the "devs" considered to be "high end" versions. But that changed the gameplay and didnt fit the story anymore.

    A good example of what I am talking about are the several groups that switch from assualt rifles to ray guns at 45. Or the PPD which switches over to PSI officers.

    Its really hard to tell a "story" when the devs have tied our hands with their own "rules" . Thats one of the reasons we find doing the game over and over tedious and dull. I would love to do a great Sky Raiders mission at level 40.

    Their contraints really dont make any sense since you fight those idotic Romans well into your 40s and all they have are a sword. But you cant fight Hellions or Warriors.

    I suggest everyone push to have MA character restrictions removed. The mobs should always LEVEL UP...you should bever level down.

    So players must be forced to like something else. If the farms are popular then thats what they must want so everything is working fine.

    The issue is really having 90K people all posting their crappy missions. Thats why things are getting buried.
