I will agree that the old forums were better in their conception but now, think about it. We're in the year 2009. We need to move on and adapt to better, more efficient forum software. UBBThreads was a nice provider, but they offered very little control over the forums. Using what looks to be a custom built .php forum gives the admins much more control over the forums.
I'm sure we'll all get used to it over time. Until then, kick back and enjoy the gradients.

it doesn't even remember the pass, let alone that it's clear enough wtf it's all about.
you know what the worst part is, they didn't even do the same with the server list.
i was against it from the beginning, now see what a mess it is.

Honestly, there's WAY too much blank space in this new setup.
Forum topics = about 90% wasted space, which given the way they set up the thread author means that 10 topics take up about the half the damn screen.
The old forums were compact, elegant, and nice IMO. Image sigs? I hate those damn things.
You can disable image sigs in your options.

And then there's Avatar images as well. Makes a one-line post into a 2-3 inch tall message.
IMHO, I don't think very much was gained for the three days of work it took to do this.
Forum stability would be a plus. No more of those annoying "can't post now" messages.

Why don't you try posting this in the PvP forum instead? They might be able to help you.

I like the new forums. May take some getting used to, and there's no doubt that they'll have to fix a few things, but here in about two weeks I'll be feeling right at home again.

As for the avatar fuzziness: Is you're avatar pic still 80X80? There may be some automatic upscaling going on. If it's 100x100 ... well, I dunno.

But I much prefer the new forums. Are there things I'd change? Sure. But vBulletin is much better overall than UBB IMO.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
