I'm looking at the moment for functions for the calendar to see if we can post items on it for static teams, etc, without spamming the whole community cuz you knows they don't give a shiat and frankly they ain't invited.

UBB was a good starter forum setup, but vBulletin is quite a bit better in many ways, not the least of which is the back end administration.

I miss it too. That was the best feature on the forums and they removed it. This really blows.

I get where folks are coming from. I don't use any other Internet forums, so all I've known is the CoH&V forums for the last 5 years. It's just a shock to the system, we'll all adjust and within a month or two we'll all be use to these forums and realize they offer much more customization then the old ones.
One issue I am having though is my Avatar only shows up half the time. I'm not sure what's going on there. Also, does anyone know if there is a way to save settings as a default so your posts use the same font, color, size, ect. eveytime without you having to select it all each time you post?
I haven't been able to find such a setting JDouble. It could be that there is a mod that will allow this, but I haven't had time to look at a lot of the mods as of yet.

It's a bit of a disappointment, I liked the old forums much too. There was an unique feel there, that you were on CoX boards and nowhere else. Here it feels like everywhere else.
Well on the other hand I'm pretty sure we'll adapt fast

That's a temporary thing with name conflicts. TheOcho and Niviene have stated that we'll have information Soon™ with how it will be resolved.
EDIT: _NA indicates a North American server account whereas _EU indicates an EU server account.

I guess it's because I had long time ago an euro account, and prolly used the same name. Even if this account hasnt been used for long it kept the name and there is a conflict between those two. So my old Ehina has probably been renamed to Ehina EUR and the new to Ehina NA.
I just hope we can get an option for one username change, and I can get Ehina back for this account
What I don't like about this new forum I can't get my avatar to work for the life of me, anyone know what the hell i'm doing wrong? I'm doing everything it tells me in the fields but just comes back as you see now and yes it's the correct size. So anyone know is there a trick I'm missing?
Looking at the properties for your avatar, it says that the location is http://www.http//i544.photobucket.co...ichigosdad.gif
I suspect that if you remove the leading http://www. that it may work. If not, we can troubleshoot from there.
EDIT: Don't remove the leading http://www. portion, instead remove the www.http// portion since that portion is incorrect. It should work after that.
Second Edit: Okay, here's the corrected address to use: http://i544.photobucket.com/albums/hh353/Lucky6ith/ichigosdad.gif Don't know why I didn't do that first.

I was used to the old forum, and I will get used to this one also. I had to figure out how to even log on, but I did. My wonderful dad had many great little tidbits of knowledge he'd drop on me, and one of my favorites was, "You can't change the wind, but you can adjust your sails."

If you refresh the thread, or the next time you visit, you'll see your avatar there, looking back at you.
Personally, I'm enjoying the ALT+S to Submit Reply. Since my fingers are already on the keyboard, it's easier to do that, than to move over to the mouse, move the cursor to the Submit button, and click.

Found everything. Still hate these forums. Clunky, ugly, spamy, and dont work half the time. To those telling people that dont like it to get over it, shove it and get over people not all being the same and not liking everything you do. I will like and dislike what ever the hell I want when I want, and I feel like my little bit of time I was able to be on the forums is trashed now.
Wow, I can't believe how many replies this thread received. It just goes to show that saying bad things gets a much better response than saying nice things.
Anyway, I saw in another thread where I could edit my options to expand the post count to 100 in the thread and I have done that. I think my biggest problem with the new forums is the inability to view all the posts in a single thread, but bumping the count to 100 has helped. It would be nice if they could adjust the count to 500 or all.
Still not sure I like the look of the new forum. I don't really post a lot, but I have been reading this forum since the game went live and I really enjoyed the unique way the old forum looked and worked. Now this forum is just like AoC or Champions and just seems blah to me.
Anyway, for those of you that are happy with the change I am glad for you. For those of us that are not all that happy I guess we will just have to adapt. I survived ED and all the Regeneration nerfs, so I suppose I will survive this as well.

Also about the new forums......
Never used the show all so I don't really care... the forum is just as fast as it was for me before.... I'm having no issues now, The http code still works for the most part so I'm happy.... (or atleast what I used it for).
And I dig the new look too and like that I can have a bigger image. A little
about the loss of name changing though.

The FAQ link at the top of the page next to UserCP has some really good instructional areas.
I've seen smileys since 2 minutes after I got on the forums, since I bothered to put in a bit of effort and look for things instead of just whining and griping. That isn't aimed specifically at you Cherokee, just the normal whining and griping on the forum without putting forth any effort.
I've spent most of the past day looking here and on various forums elsewhere for tips on vBulletin. And posting answers here for people. There are answers all over the place in the FAQ, posted by other users, and on forums elsewhere dedicated to vBulletin stuff.

Pulling a 500 post per page view would put quite a load on the SQL database. At least I think I saw SQL as the database. Could be wrong. But, it would severely strain any database, even with 200 posts per page.
