I hadn't written anything yet in the hope that it was all a terrible nightmare, but it seems it's a terrible truth, which is even worse.

Best of luck GR, you'll be missed. And... can I have your stuff? Sorry, couldn't help myself.

I can understand that, in a worldwide economic crisis situation as we are having, companies must save money from any possible source, but leaving hundreds of european players without any kind of support, even temporarily, talks quite bad about NC's customer policy. I just hope that the solution that can be taken, does not mean for us european players to lose our actual status (vet rewards, toons, names, etc).

I'm very sorry to hear you're one of the ones going. I know how much redundancy sucks. The "Potentially" in that means "If you take up a job in the US, you'll probably still have a job. Otherwise, you're redundant and you can either leave now, or wait out your notice period".

Isn't the potentially more due to employment law specifying consultation periods and such?

No-one is made redundant effective as of now, it's always "your poition is redundant but by law we've got to pretend to be making sure that's the case and looking to see if you fit in anywhere else in the organisation for the next few months". It's usually a done deal, but legal hoops need to be observed...

Afraid you'll all need to be patient to find out what happens with regards CoH in Europe. A whole helluva lot changed yesterday, and it's going to take some time for the folks at NCNC to formulate their plans going forward.
