If you give people a choice between doing nothing, or speculating wildly and making dramatic statements about what they'll do if their wild speculations turn out to be accurate, they're going to speculate wildly every time I'm afraid.
And if NCSoft West do come around to my house and steal my washing, I'll be very put out!

Without official word, a very common responce is speculating.
If this indeed was planned already last year, they at least had plenty of time to prepare a decent announcement for the players. Leaving them in the dark, from 1 day on another, with still the bitter taste of last year, aint doing good at all.

Did that for a day or so; not only have they not given us the official word, they haven't even said when or if they'll be giving it. Hell, they haven't actually said anything at all to us, even a simple restatement of what's already in the public domain.
So, as nature abhors a vacuum, it's speculation time!
If you want wild speculation:
this could just be a restructuring of an unproffitable branch office.
But it could also be the frantic efforts of a business about to go under to stave off liquidation.
Which would mean no more CoX anywhere, no more GW, no Western Aeon etc...
I really should do something about this signature.

Mmm... well, NCSoft's last quarterly earnings report wasn't exactly a picture of booming success - to say the least - but it wasn't a picture of imminent total collapse either.
Interestingly, the report for the last quarter should be out any day now...
