Source? Linky? Anything? We love to speculate with you.
All i can say now is Doom(tm). 
I think if the rumours are true, it's better not to speculate too much until we get an official word (if any.)
Let's hold our horses until we hear the word from the proverbial bird.

Yeah, unspecified news from unspecified sources of generic "trouble brewing".
Still, I'm sure GR will be able to ignore company PR policy and make an impromptu announcement on whatever the hell "this" is. After all, the question's specific enough.

Well, probably uh oh indeed. Although in that case I'm part of a different "we", as other than this thread I haven't heard any rumours at all...

I am not going to speculate on the basis of no official source of information.
However...
A reputable source has also reported this (and is probably in a position to know). At this time I have no reason to dispute their word.

IF the rumours are true, don't be expecting any posts from GR on it until there's an official press release.
And even then, I wouldn't expect GR to be allowed to say a lot about it...

Why are you all so surprised by such a move? It was fairly obvious it was going to happen at some point this year.
I'm surprised it has happened so close to the last cull. Thats cold.
