It depends. If we get Vet rewards and our characters transferred then sure, no problem. If we lose names I can deal with that to some degree too.

If it was the simple case of character transfer with the slight posibility (highly doubt someone in US has the name ultimate damz/noob buster) of a name change then i'ld happily jump ship to a busier/crazier server.

After all i think it'ld be fun to have a "the eu are invading!!!" event

Imo if we can transfer everything:

chars,inf,badges,bases

most players wouldnt mind.

If we just get US accounts and have to start over my bet would be, they loose 90% of the EU players.

Oh well champions and dc online comming and the new star wars game looks awesome too.

Of course its sad ppl lose their jobs, but thats how things are.
Older games get rid of their staff while new games create new jobs.

After they took away GR (most close official figure to EU players currently) and after seeing US sides reaction to things happening i don't want to move that side. Heck, i don't even know if i want to continue this game...

The things i see at the moment is, US side both players and devs don't give a damn about what happen to EU players so why do i care for them and continue their game anymore?

The Americans are generally so insular they don't care what happens to another state nevermind another country. It's not that the people there wish anything bad to happen, but they have been brought up to not care about anything other than god/democrats/the other party.
Also they still fear the King of England coming back to claim their country as his own

I agree. I found the US forums quite nice really.

The Servers slightly less so, mainly due to the time difference (you get a fair few After School Special teams which can be... odd). But if there was an (un)official EU server it'd mitigate that more.

I find the US Servers a bit hit and miss. the one things that has always made me happy over here is the EU Community spirit.
I just hope they account for that iff anything does happen in the near or distant future

The (un) part will be very unlikely, NC keeps the serverstuff pretty secured (ok, LA2 excluded, but they activly hunt for em).

Ok, forums are bitty weird (due timezone too), the servers itself are ok, they have few more stuff then we have such as the sewer hunts. You just need to blend in a bit

On that front, to be honest, were actually annoyed when Lighthouse (their Bridger/Kerensky/GhostRaptor equivilent) was fired for his statement about Issue 13 PvP not being for the current crop of PvPers.

Anyway, posted in the US side version of the topic explaining to them that it looks like almost the entire EU staff are going, hopefully that should raise some eyebrows.

Yep, US Sewer hunts are the most fun I've ever had starting a character. By the time you emerge (either by fighting your way through to the Kings entrance or by Death Taxi) you've gained 7 levels in under an hour.

So it is semi confirmed then. If only by no GM response in this thread. Sad news sad news indeed.

GR - good luck to you. You were/are a fantastic community co-ordinator, you certainly filled B's, Kerensky's, Rockjaw's etc. etc. shoes and then some. Speaking for myself (and anyone who wants to agree with me), us EU lot have been extremely lucky to have some of the best community support/co-ordinators/GMs etc.

I'm going to keep my fingers crossed indefinitely, and hope to god you're not on a temporary work visa.

To be honest, depending on what happens to us EU folk, I may take this as my cue to move to <another MMO> for good. Not out of spite, or fear of change, but to preserve memories.

TBH I'm surprised at the complete lack of info from NCSoft to their paying customers, whether via red name, News update or whatever.

Presumably the high-ups had drawn up full plans before local staff were notified, and had already decided whether EU forums and servers were to be ultimately preserved/migrated/closed down. Once the cat was out of the bag and it it was clear big changes were happening, why not let people know what they were?

Personally I will not be moving to the US servers if I have to start either characters or supergroup again. I may as well do that in a new game. I'm also very much in two minds about renewing my subs next month...

Well let me guess, you never started a new alt on Union, Atlas? We are doing it all the time and many runs include Atlas Bank mission. I mostly leave that core team around level 12-14 if they decide to continue Midnighters arc in Steel too.

Everything is and always has been a big secret, from the trivial to important things like this, its like blood out of a stone. Always a "soon" , another carrot dangled or just silence.

I've several on Union, all of which I street ran 1-6 in Atlas on and didn't see any (or little) sewer runs being called out.

In fact I started a new character on Union last night. There was one person calling to join a sewer run but nothing else. Certainly nothing like the amount of sewer runs going on on the two (admittedly highest pop) servers.

Really I should have started my own last night but I was tired and they would have expected me to Tank for them (what with me being a tank and all )

depends... I started a new troller a week ago, and had to solo Atlas and Kings banks (Although I did join a team which did Atlas+Midnighters, but after I soloed the bank, and the team desintegrated after Lady Jane. (we had to re-try it two times, and then arc's owner had to go) ) Partially that's because of an odd hours I was playing, though. It's still better than it used to be. (My defender I play from time to time had teams from Atlas to The Hollows to Faultline, and he's storm, not emp or kin. ADD: and yes, it's in the search comment)

Oh that is strange... People keep yelling on BC about sewer teams whenever i am in atlas with a new alt. Hmmm maybe they are stalking me and know i am a good sewer runner.

Joking aside, if you'll decide to start a new alt and can't see any peeps to start sewer run just give me a shout. I always have an alt for sewers, if not i will help you with Psy for a smoother sewer run.

Just to add: I, too, am going to miss GR. He was a tough but fair mod doing a tough but fair job in a tough but fair way.

(God, sounds like the VoG intro to a Stephen J. Cannell series - GhostRaptor, Network Ranger. I think it could work.)
