Ah ok, that's great lol, much thanks to everyone who replied
I already had most of not all the content before ie. booster packs, GR etc. so i was just worried it was going to disappear. I was just getting to grips with the incarnate system last time i played but i bet thats changed too now :P it's all a bit of a muddle for me. This is why i hate leaving this game, so much happens in 6 months it's like playing something new.
If the devs do come out with a big post about whats changed and why i'd be over the moon :P trying to find info about the change is like getting blood from a stone atm besides the basic stuff. -
Hi guys, not played in about 6 months and it's suddenly changed to Free2Play lol. I've upgraded to ViP as i cannot go without all my character slots and stuff, but i have loads of add-on packs plus all the games i bought, just wondering if they count for nothing now :s
Is it basically the same as before except it has free users? i know you've probably been asked this loads of times before but i'm feeling a little lost at the moment, thought i'd ask while the 'parts' are downloading, which to me is weird in itself. -

thought it was Sat/Sun had too many christmas parties to go to this weekend

I'm more than a little apprehensive they are doing it so quickly, i'd rather they wait until it's relatively bug free and give it more testing than rush it to live and have no end of trouble. Got the Halloween event to content everyone in the mean time so i don't know what all the rush is about to get it published. -

I have a mix of toons though most of them are female, this is really only because i like alot of the female cossie pieces and you can do alot with tops and skin. Males are somewhat limited to a Tee in that area and i find it terribly boring. -

Cheers for the replies. I forgot to mention in the opening post that I'm Male. I do roll a lot of female heroes, they just don't get played very often and the males time to 50 is much shorter from date rolled.

I'd like to see an automatic name purge - if you pick up a trial and don't sub, then after a month or 3 all the names should be available; if you have an inactive sub, then names become freed up gradully depending on how long you've been inactive and the level of the character, e.g.:

I agree if they've been gone since 2005 they'd be unlikely to come back and if they did i doubt they'd mind starting again seeing as they've been gone so long it'd be like playing a whole new game, but anything after that is just wrong. Just use a little imagination and i'm sure people can come up with good names that haven't already been taken. -
I think this is a Known issue and happens with other warnings too. I don't think there is a work-around so you'll have to suffer it for now till they fix it. Least you won't delete/sell salvage you need in the mean time

There was the usual Thursday maintenance from 12-2 but they don't seem to have got it back up and running again yet. Keeps saying the login server is down for me but i don't think it'll be long before it's working again

It really does need fixing though, it's worse when they not only run away but they run away into another mob, so you either chase them and get flattened or leave them and wait half hour for them to come back. Also if your an MM pets can be rather sluggish to respond to the 'COME BACK HERE NOW!!!' command so if they go off chasing the runaway into another mob your basically screwed. team wipe anyone?

I think i'm going to give another vote to DA blueside. It's got so much potential for being spooky and having some really good arcs in zone. I adore Croa as it is and DA could be a follow on zone for those who want to stick with the spooky theme.
Red side i'd really redo Mercy, it's pain in the *** to get around sometimes as it is. Low level zones like that shouldn't make me go through a ton of doors just to get to a ferry, or even a mish sometimes if it's in the fort.
I do however think it would be a little weird if some zones looked all shiny and then i went next door to a new zone and it was all a bit dull

Once you've spoken to them once they don't go into your contact list until you actually take a mission from them. So you actually have to physically go find them again when you want to continue the arc. The same happened to me with Aaron in Neutropolis but i could remember where he was, so i went and spoke with him after i'd done with other stuff and just carried on.
I don't know if it's a bug or not but i think it's pretty silly if it's actually meant to work like that. -
The copies die pretty easily and i did it on my lvl 19 Elec/Elec Dom, you also don't have to kill her off entirely, you get dialogue when she's down about 1/4 of her health left.
This mish is easy compared to a resistance mish where there is just you and a psychic against a horde of about 20 PPD and Seers aswell as the boss you went in for :| some of the ambushes are insane, how they ever expect you to handle them solo is beyond me. -
