15 Vanessa DaVores?
Which contact gives that mission?
Edit: From the info I found, that appears to be Mother Mayhem, who gives you a choice to bring Vanessa in or not.
And they said they'd never make my dōjinshi canon...

If its the mission I think it is, all the clones drop with just one hit, they only have like 5 HP. It wasn't a hard mission really.

The duplicates are decoys. You don't have to defeat all of them - you just have to figure out which one is the real Vanessa and attack her.
Tactics dear, and lots of tabbing. Make sure you're oriented on the right one, bring lots of purples, and BAM you're done.

I'd kill for that power... but I sadly don't think such a power exist and it's custom spawns.
Goodbye. Not to the game, but the players. Goodbye. Everyone, remember to have fun. That's all I can say.
<psst> The decoys are made of paper.

Haven't encountered this yet, but I have since gotten wise that in Praetoria you should always carry four purples with you before a mission.

You can't just lob a fireball in there and be done with it?
That's how I usually handle that trick in other games.
The copies die pretty easily and i did it on my lvl 19 Elec/Elec Dom, you also don't have to kill her off entirely, you get dialogue when she's down about 1/4 of her health left.
This mish is easy compared to a resistance mish where there is just you and a psychic against a horde of about 20 PPD and Seers aswell as the boss you went in for :| some of the ambushes are insane, how they ever expect you to handle them solo is beyond me.
The above is only my opinion, please don't hate me for it

GhostRaptor: Server populations have been trending upwards since Issue 13 release. There are no current plans for any server mergers and we're looking forward to Issue 14 and the rest of the year.

So far everything has been juuuuuuuust doable solo. The zones are lovely, but the continual faceplanting is less fun. Had my level 10 Tank on a team with 6 level 15-17 friends last night in Neutronia. I think at one point we were swarmed with AT LEAST 50 ghouls, all of 'em dying and healing each other. [at least it seemed like all of them were; I was too busy trying to stay alive to notice.] I have no idea what the leader was set on, but I have noticed this to be true no matter who I team with.
I am sure familiarity will bring a measure of added skill but right now.... man. I will say the reduced danger as you run about the zone is welcome for lowbies, but they sure don't mind making up for that in the mission.
Issue 16 made me feel like this.

Is this bugged? "Bring in Vanessa Davore" ... a level 19 mission.
There's one MOB in the entire map (Vanessa - an elite boss). Attack her and she summons 5 duplicates (all EBs) and disappears. Attack them and they each summon more. Think this might have been overkill? MAYBE? I'm enjoying the Praetorian missions. I've even enjoyed the bump in difficulty to some degree. But there have been a few missions (especially this one) that I really have to wonder if the Dev Team was on some sort of psychedelic or cold medicine (or both) when they scripted these. Unfortunately I can't drop the mission. I guess I'll come back to this when I'm level 30. Ridiculous. |
Sounds like our intrepid OP by pure bad luck attacked the real DeVore in the mob, thinking it was a duplicate, and when she pulled the duplicate trick again he thought that all the decoys would do that.

In my fight with her, all the decoys did zero damage - not even heal-afterwards illusionary damage.. so they were like a lesser, crappy version of Phantom Army. It's possible that some could hurt you a little though, but they didn't when I was looking.
What exactly is so bad about fighting 1 EB that summons decoys which have limited offensive capabilities and die in 1 hit?
