Yeah yeah, my play partner and I got it.

The emotes are VERY cool as are the CC emotes. The goggles are nice and the gender changing/super Icon are nice.

From a personal point of view, I'd rather have a temp power (even with a long recharge) to the Icon-type thing...but it fits the concept of the Science lab/booster/theme.

Good work on this.

So where is the super tailor/cosmetic surgeon? It said it would be "near the tailor," but I'm Cap Au Diable on CoV right now and can't find it. (And yes, I've purchased the super science booster pack)

Perhaps another game and its associated forums would serve you better, since negative feedback seems to be a problem for you. Heat/kitchens/tolerance, etc.

I'm unsure what you mean. Me? A problem with these forums? Heck, I'm the instigator half the time

I don't have problems with negative feedback, just non-constructive feedback. The problem is most layman cannot tell the difference, or don't care.

Besides, that other game is way too laggy on my system.

It's not an expansion, it's a mini-pack.

But y'know, you're right. They shouldn't put out anything to make some extra money to keep a 5 year old game afloat. I'd rather they just shut the game down when they don't make enough each month to run it anymore.

[/ QUOTE ]
Oh please. $15.00 per month from over 40k subscribers...this game isn't going anywhere right now. This is all about lining their pockets by selling us features that should have been there all along.

I can understand paying for things like the Mac Pack and the sort,,,but this one is a total, complete rip off.

[/ QUOTE ]

LOL...you know i read this....

And you know at least this company actualy provides new things...

Another company which i wont name....claims they have 10 million subscribers...and they pay 15.95 a month but they get NADA!!

In a paid new exapnsion they got i think one dungeon some new sets of armor and that was it...Wrath of the Lich King was the name of the expansion.....

ANywise for the amoutn people pay....for this game and i include ones like me who pay yealy and pay less that way.....i think we get a heck of alot of goodies.

And by the way.....you are only renting some memory space ona drive and allowed to play this game....we dont anything in this game not even our characters......so i don;t think it can be really considered any mroe of rip off then renting Movies...Getting a Library Book or having a magazine subscription.

Sorry but you're completely wrong on Wrath of Lich king there...

They got:
1) Atleast 10 new instances of both the 5 man and 25 man variety at various points in the new level range and at the level range cap.
2) the level cap went from 70 to 80 with 10 levels worth of quests and content.
3) Lots of new equipment.
4) A new PvP zone with siege vehicles implemented.

Outside of the paid for expansion, WoW does get Issue sized patches BUT they're less common than CoH Issues, they tend to turn up once a year or twice a year.

If you're going to be critical atleast get the information right, it wasn't just 1 new dungeon...

If the your post was directed at me Cerulean, I've already bought the booster pack, I was merely saying to PsychicKitty that they got their facts complete wrong with regards to WotLK and that it was a case of "didn't do the research" before posting.

I bought it just for the death goggles which means I can finally make a decent 5th Column-alike costume.

100% agree with you. It's sad the direction this game has gone. Shoulda seen it coming with the wedding pack.

No, it wasn't directed at you or anyone in particular. I just dislike when people grip about the cost of something that they don't have to buy.

If you want to infer that I insulted you, or that I'm the self-proclaimed forum king, then absolutely, as you will.

But I'd rather get the thread back on track.

************

Anyhow, my arguments about the size/ gender changing mechanism aside, I think I'll be enjoying the new costume bits. The Skull Mask has a number of different uses. I'm not sure what I'll use the lab coats for, but perky nonetheless.

The new costume change emotes, especially perhaps the formula (which could be used for Magic-types as well) has me thinking of interesting concepts. Hmmm... should I redeem some of those vet character slots or not?

I don't know that they have over 40K subscribers. Link please. Last I heard NCSoft stopped giving subscription numbers. I thought Guild Wars brought in more money for them and that doesn't even have a monthly fee.

In your opinion they should have been features all along, that doesn't mean everyone thinks the same.

It really irks me when people moan about the cost of something like this when they don't seem to have a grasp on the reality of what things cost outside of this game:

I know of no MMO that lowered their monthly fee as the game aged.

I do know of two old MUDs I played back in the early or mid 90's that were, and still are, 15 bucks a month to play. One gives you 1 character, the other gives you 3. Talk about overpriced. It's text! They get no updates!

Most games give you a discount on your monthly fee for pre-paying, if you can't take advantage of the savings...too bad? Oh, those MUDs offer no discount.

I bought The Sims 3 collector edition for $70. They have an online store to buy extras that they created. I wanted some extra furniture and decor items that I had to buy with SimPoints which cost real money. It cost me $50. That's an expansion right there, but I didn't get an expansion's worth of stuff. But, I wanted it so I bought it.

If you don't want something, don't buy it. If you want it but can't, or won't, spend the money for it keep it to yourself. You can always write a letter to corporate if you want to do the adult thing. [censored] about the game on the forums because you're cheap, or poor, doesn't endear you to anyone.

I'm not even a fanboi and it annoyed me.

The CoH transactions' content wouldn't bother if it were another game, but one of CoH's big selling points (if not the biggest) is it's ability to customize your character.

My only problem with this Booster is the costumes just, well, sorry, all---they suck. When *I* think of super science stuff, I instantly think of Mr. Fantastic, Galactus, The Watcher, Elders of the Universe, etc.

Not some cheesy, puke green half-toga and a partially shaved head 'hair style'.

The goggles mean nothing to me. Now, if they were Ether Goggles, well, that'd be a different story, eh?

So, thumbs way down for this one from me.

Brought you to by the words 'meh' and 'yawn'.
