The coolest place in-game you stumbled over...?
See this is the problem with Travel powers. You just zip by all the local scenery.
Teams are the number one killer of soloists.
Check my youtube profile for a video of it

I would have to say the most beautiful place is Ouroboros. The most cool is the secret club somewhere in Faultline.

Trust the computer. The computer knows all.
I love the caves under faultline myself.
The Shard has some beautiful scenery. They were everything I had wanted the Plane of Sky to be (have to remember that the Shard predates EQ2's Plane of Sky expansion pack.) I think it's possible that some of their devs admired it as much as I did even if whoever designed it never got much kudos here in CoH.
Nobody ever goes there because those 4 zones are just so freaking BIG.
BIG.
I really wish that villains got access to the Shadow Shard.

Yeah the blood waterfall and pools in the Shard are really incredible.
Watching the sun come up over the Hollows is pretty cool.
I love the little grottos and hidden places in the little islands north of Talos. They're gorgeous and since it's reasonably low level it's easy to ignore the Circle and DE there, to have a picnic.

We do in bits and pieces as mission arcs. Not the big TF zone of the shard ;(

While doing (or should I say failing?) the last mission of the Lord Recluse, I saw a tunnel at the edge of the heliport that led to the mission, and promptly decided to see what's there. It's for all intends and purposes a linear tunnel, but that tunnel just kept on going deeper and deeper into the earth just because, well, I can. Turns out that it's an underwater tunnel leading to the Fab.
That single tunnel was more fun than the entire SF, and I had lots of fun on that SF.
Later on I also discovered the singular fork the underground tunnel has leads to below the gutters of Spider Town. You could see people passing above you, not noticing you, like you were a kind of sewer rat.
I found Grandville an impressing-looking zone to begin with, but its underground makes me love it even more, and became my favorite hiding/meeting spot, if I ever needed such a spot.
The Shard is gorgeous, as is Ouroboros. I was thinking more about those little pocket places you almost never notice. Like Westin Phipps' Haven House - if you didn't have him there, it'd still be a neat little place.
Others on my list are a particular mausoleum in Moth Cemetery, a little wooden bridge with old-fashioned lamplights near it in Perez Park, the Circle of Thorns ritual circle in the Hollows, that sort of thing. They're just small details, but they add character.

Then my husband pointed out that there's a similar facility under Agincourt, so off I go, and sure enough, there are about a half-dozen forcefield holding cells, with CREY supervising them, and TOURISTS!

While not "secret," there are plenty of little out of the way places that are just nice to go to. No enemies (usually,) no missions, nobody zipping by on their way anywhere - there are islands south and (west?) of the ferry in Peregrine that are rather nice and relaxing feeling, not to mention the various waterfalls in Founders and Talos.
I do agree with the Moth Cemetery mausoleum (of course, I like DA in general,) and the Shard - especially the different skies you can come across. Just give me the sky as an (animated) background for my PC...
And even though you need to go into a TF to see it, pretty much the whole Crystal Guardian map. Giant bones and such sticking out, a different texture from anywhere else - Really wish we had more areas like that.
Of course, there's the "technical interest" of the pool on the west side (outside) of the Grandville walls - the only spot, pre-Cimerora, that you could "swim" in three dimensions in.
There's a particular spot in Moth Cemetary where I love to farm zombies that's very cool, a tomb/tunnel deal where you get the 'Seeker of the Unknown' badge.

I know the spot you're talking about, Neth. When I went down there to get that badge, I was all, "Yep, gotta film here..." So it appeared in my I-12 teaser.

From the Eden Trial? You can access part of that map in the arena, and now you can pick it with just 2 people.

I've heard about a hidden club in Grandville, but have never been able to find it. Can you give me a general idea of where the entrance is?
I noticed the abandoned lab in St. Martial for the first time the other day. And its got a bloody map marker! Nothing fancy, just a warehouse with some portable invention tables. I had just never noticed it before and happened to be scrolling over my map when I saw it.
not the coolest thing i found but more like huh?
i was flying around mercy and nticed 3 poster floating in the the air not visible from the ground
here
and another veiw here
but far as neat i think the monkey fight club in sharkhead ilse is a neat place

I always liked the sky raider base in sharkhead. I wish there was an MA map of that.

It's in the underground section. The entrance is in plain sight, but at the same time it's kinda hidden unless you like at it from the right way.

*The Malta camp in the RWZ.
*The building awkwardly intersecting the tunnel in FF where you get the Chaotician badge.
I've been playing CoH for over two years now. Today, while in Nerva on a mission for Grillo, I happened to overfly Crimson Cove and blundered into an area I'd never seen before... a BUNCH of cages with creature types from all over the game in them, and Crey scientists standing around.
I was astounded.
Then my husband pointed out that there's a similar facility under Agincourt, so off I go, and sure enough, there are about a half-dozen forcefield holding cells, with CREY supervising them, and TOURISTS!
I had NO idea these were here!
Has anyone else found really nifty stuff just by wandering around in-game? And if so, where are they? I am always looking for good filming locales, and I'd had no idea these were here!
