I like the little island way off in a corner of Port Oakes,I call it Gilligans Island, complete with a skeleton.
Since the thread is already bumped.
There is a place in Grandville where you can swim underwater.

Small pool of water on the western side, outside of the wall. There is a Coralex down there, low level.
Probably not what the OP was looking for, but since so few people do it: the final map of the Abandoned Sewer Trial.
It was this incredibly huge pit with a maze of catwalks everywhere like a spider's torn web. It was so deep you couldn't even see the bottom; everything just receded into blackness. The sensation of being a lonely explorer going down and down some bottomless pit to hell to confront a horror out of Lovecraft's badly-written novels was chilling and exciting.
Don't worry, that still works as far as neat places go. It's the maps like that (and I agree about that sense of vertigo) that make some players go, "Wha-? Where's that? I wanna see!"

The circular pond in Croatoa that's part of the Baby New Year map. It's neat to go there at night in Paragon City and watch the Wisps dance from on top of the rocks.
I like the Council Base in the Rikti War Zone. Or did. Until I got lost in it once.
99458: The Unbearable Being of Lightness
191775: How the Other Half Lives
My Webcomics
I remember the first time I did that trial. I was trying to jump from one ramp to another, overshot, and fell allllll the way down, landing smack dab on top of the Hydra. Ouchie.

Coolest mission map for me is probably the Eden Trial. It just really seems otherworldly.
The fortress in the ITF was also awe-inspiring to me the first time I saw it, although now that I've run that TF a zillion times, it no longer has any impact on me.
The first time I approached the Storm Palace in Shadow Shard was another "holy cow!" moment. The inside of the Storm Palace has to take the prize for the biggest anti-climax in the game, given the incredible grandeur of the outside.
The first time I saw the casino district in St. Martial at night with all its neon, it knocked my socks off.
If you haven't done it, crossing the dam in Faultline is cool by first going through the dam the normal way, then taking the underground tunnels there. I think a lot of folks have never seen the far side of the dam, and while it's not otherworldly or awe-inspiring, it's just neat to see the battles raging there.
Freedom: Blazing Larb, Fiery Fulcrum, Sardan Reborn, Arctic-Frenzy, Wasabi Sam, Mr Smashtastic.
I love Oro. A screenie of the view from one of the seperate floating boulders has been my wallpaper for weeks now. Beautiful.
I do like the underground council base in RWZ, and the tunnels in Faultline. Also the Eden Trial map and the Abandoned Sewer Trial map, both are very cool.
I ran a respec trial on Sunday and one person had never done it before. He thought the reactor room was really cool. I guess it is, I'm just used to it. ^_^
my lil RWZ Challenge vid
Too bad it's easy to get tired of the reactor room quick when you spend 20 minutes just staring at it.
Back on topic, I absolutely love Grandville's underground. I especially like the two huge pipe rooms. One of them even pulsates with a red light, giving it this spooky kinda feeling, as if it's connected to some hellish contraption which, given this is Grandville, is probably true. I love hanging out there when I got nothing to do in the game.
The Fab in Grandville. I didn't know it exist until I was in that zone and bored one day, when I noticed that the main island didn't take up all of the map vertically. I decided to go exploring, and bam, there it was. It's a fun area.
Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.

All the time I have spent in RWZ and I never knew there was an underground section. Any pointers on where to find the entrance?

Edit: Damn, I was off. Pretty sure it's where the Base Jumper badge is in the map.
It isn't a secret by any means, but if i could I would live with Fathim in that big dome. So serene...
Stay Gold, Paragon. Stay Gold.
Nolite te bastardes carborundorum.
There is an overgrown greenhouse up on monkey island in Peregrine. You can drop in through the broken ceiling, and chill out in the gardens. I always enjoyed that.
And the "Moon River" music from the developers dungeon in Grandville still makes me laugh. Brrraaaappppp.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
Dunno if this is cool but it's kind of interesting.
You can can travel to Talos from Peregrine without taking the ferry. Just follow the power-lines into the SW corner of the map and you'll get transported to Talos although you will end up in the water at the NE corner which is a looong way out.

I was astounded.
Then my husband pointed out that there's a similar facility under Agincourt, so off I go, and sure enough, there are about a half-dozen forcefield holding cells, with CREY supervising them, and TOURISTS!
I had NO idea these were here!
Has anyone else found really nifty stuff just by wandering around in-game? And if so, where are they? I am always looking for good filming locales, and I'd had no idea these were here!
