Everyone run away! Adamastor is doing... nothing!
Everyone run away! Babbage is .... Minding his own business!
You know I almost feel bad when I defeat them, it's not like they were hurting anybody :/
Bringing the destructible environments and items of Mayhem Missions into re-spawnable in-world details might entice the monsters to actually break something. -
Unless it's a task force don't expect much. I think the best way to go about this would be what DCUO has done and give you an option of stances at character selection. This would obviously apply to Icon as well. Good suggestion but like you said, just a dream for CoH2.
-
Might just need to put this one in the "keep dreaming" category

Bump for Monster Justice in a game that doesn't seem to care anymore.

Bases are one of the many golden gems that so many of us enjoyed and looked forward to being developed only to be left in the dust because that's just that way it is. I gave up. Just give up and check back in a few months. (That hasn't worked out for me either).

Here's a completely human Warshade PvP build I managed to whip up because the idea interested me so.
The biggest problem i ran into doing this build was the sheer amount of toggles and how they really bogged down your endurance. This won't be as much of a problem at lvl 30 since the last 6/7 powers (post-lvl 30) are toggles. However because of this, you'll see a rather abundant supply of -end costs in all the toggles (except Maneuvers, which gives a defense buff so negligible the endurance isn't worth having it on w/ the rest of your toggles. Maneuvers is strictly for the LOTG and Karma KB).
If you go to RV, I think the best way around this is the strategic use of Eclipse. Since you are zoning, i would suggest if you're low on endurance, or are about to head into battle, find yourself a group of NPC's to eclipse on before heading in.
It's also extremely nice to have a phase tied right into your build, this is the best panic button next to Hibernate, so don't hesitate to use it to get out of a tough spot or attempt to lure/kite enemies closer to your team (They'll get greedy and think they can kill the "lolwarshade" and chase you, some completely unsuspecting a Phase.)
I got the foe TP for it's simple, nice utility. See a corrupter you can harass or bring to your teammates, or a MM that needs to be yanked from his pets.
I really built this with lvl 50 in mind, primary focuses were Recharge and Health and also reached exactly 41 points of KB protection. Also whatever Recovery bonus I could squeeze in.
Tell me what you think

If they actually reveal something new they haven't been yammering about this entire time, i'd be extremely surprised.

I'm an old timer, 75 monthes in about 10 days I think. Why i'm still here? I do not know.

Let me just tell you now that the PvP-IO's you're implementing are just going to be too much buck for the bang. I have a Fire/WP tanker, and he's PvE, and this is his build. You can take what you will from it, but i find that it works effectively and isn't going to absolutely wring out your wallet.
Edit: I've gone ahead and replaced some of my more common sets and IO's with Superiors and high-end Procs since you are in-fact going for the "Ultimate" build.
Primary Focus - Regeneration, Health, Recharge

Excellent guide. Now I know Hami Raiding more than ever
-
Absolutely more monsters need to be the size of Lanaruu and Jade Spider. That would be perfect, their monsters, they should be that big. I hit this topic pretty hard in my Sig, about the life of Giant Monsters in general though. Bigger monsters? /sign.
-
Nicely put Max, and I'm glad there's a full red-side perspective as well, I was fairly certain it was a similar situation. I have red-side toons, but I live purely in the pvp zones.
I was just thinking, maybe somewhere a bit farther down the line there's room for reworking GMs to the extent in my OP (and maybe those zone events too..), but there is absolutely time to tweak their rewards in some way relatively soon. -
-
Eh, this is cool and all but I'm not in an SG so.. Who knows maybe I'll just solo one and have a 10% easier time building my personal base.
-
But lowering the rewards also lowers the incentive to make a build to DO that anyways. You would never see it happening, and like I said if it were up to me Giant Monsters wouldn't even be solo-able. They would require great effort from a large amount of players for a great reward at an infrequent rate. That's my ideal situation. Bite-sized Hamidons, all of them.
-
Quote:(The Zombie Apocalypse would be a lot more awesome if the zombies didn't spawn right around players like the Rikti Invasion, but rather spawned from several points in a zone and shuffled out attacking players, civilians, and NPCs alike, creating more zombies as they went (I'm envisioning an effect similar to the Lost Curing Wand wherein the zombie attacks an NPC and the NPC disappears and runs off while a new zombie is summoned in its place). As is it just feels like a smellier Rikti Invasion.)
This is an excellent idea, if they could bite citizens and transform them, that would instantly make it the most epic and terrifying event. The kind of chaos that only super powered individuals can handle. Such a good idea.
Also to Kyzock: I think if someone is actually able to solo a Giant Monster, it would take a tremendous amount of effort and time so the rewards reaped should be hardly tampered with if at all. I don't see it happen much these days, but maybe I'm wrong, if someone can solo a GM in mere minutes then the GM's need to be more powerful along with their increased rewards. They basically shouldn't be solo-able in my opinion anyways. I'm glad you agree, now let's get a dev to feel the same :P -
Quote:I actually don't see many Spines these days, as much as Broadsword and Katana's and Elecs. That's why I like hopping on mine. Also because he's my main.Your the first person to make sense on this Thread.Thank you for that.
Your right by the way, I could have presented it in a better manner and not shown my emotional biast towards being told its the best or nothing.
I still plan on going ahead with the SR Stalker build, but im a bit torn on which melee I want to take. Its leaning towards MA though.Mainly because I want to aviod another Spines PvP Repeat that I see so much in PvP these days.
Also martial arts is a great choice, mixes well thematically too. MA preformance has increased drastically, though not among the most popular. I've always wanted to make one myself. -
Quote:Jack and Eochai were a blast to hunt down, sometimes I'll head to the north of Croatoa, such a cool area with all the battles going on, and sometimes a Jack or Eochai to watch over it allI don't know about you but I fought Jack twice. Once during a three team GM hunt and a second time with My Warshade. Both times were fun times had by all who were in attendance. Nothing gets you pumped like hunting monsters and nothing is more fun than trying to take down Jack in Irons with a bunch of level 20's-30's. It got to a point where I had to call in my high level friends for help. AND we still had a tough time. GM hunting is fun as hell and all those heroes who do the Fight once and ignore are missing out on the fun.
That's cool that a group of 20-30's got together to take him down. I dunno, seems kinda.. Authentic, like how they were supposed to be fought :P
Quote:but then I'm kookoo for GMs. -
Quote:Well, let me let you in on something about why I just did such a thing.
The more someone tells me to not do this and go a totally conformed direction I get Irritated, and make the opposite choice just in spite.
I wont make many builds simply because of many peoples snarky "Its this or nothing!" Attitudes.
Im going to make a uneducated guess and say that its probably true that 90%+ of PvP Stalkers Players are Regen, Willpower, or Ninjitsu. The more people try to cram whats the best down my throat, the less I listen.
There is no "Best" in this game.Everything has a Edge if you use it correctly.
I will happly take SR because it irritates alot of people so much that id take it in the first place. It will work well enough.
"Best" is a percetion of what a person, or a group of people belive to be true.So there for is a Opinion.
Not everyone has to have the best to take down NPCs or other Players. They just have to know how to use what they got, and accept the limitations of there creation.Which most do not do.Thats why way too many people do Forum PvP and Worship Mids and IO only builds.Such as PC and other half witts who probably have absolutly no life other then to crunch numbers and harrass other people on the forums.
And you guys call me the freakin Troll?I dont think so.Im outty....my girl friends comming over.Enjoy your number crunching.
The way I see it is that you can technically take any archetype and any powerset, and make it a pvp build. Of course it's not going to be as effective as the "best", (that's why people deem them the best, because they preform the most efficiently), but like you said "It will work well enough". You just need to develop your playstyle around your weaknesses and know HOW to actually pvp with what you're playing.
I also get a little annoyed that a majority of the community goes with what is the best, but I see no reason why they shouldn't. I personally like to play builds that are effective, but not the absolute "best" because you do get a little sense of uniqueness and satisfaction when you can perform as efficiently. I love whipping out my Stone Melee/Elec brute every now and again, and doing well with him even though he doesn't have as efficient of a damage output as say, super strength. That's fine. Same deal with my Dual Pistols corrupter.
I think the more appropriate question was "Who can help me with a mids build for Soandso/Super Reflexes stalker?" That's why we have mids and "crunch numbers" (we don't - the program does that for us), because it's the best way to represent to someone what you have in mind.
You basically took an extremely bitter approach to what I see as just playing what you want. You *want* to play Super Reflexes or Ninja Reflexes, and just because people disagree and tell you why they under-preform, you change that into "I'm doing it because you say not to." That's silly and it doesn't make you a troll, it just makes "u mad."
