Fitness/Stamina made inherent. Special Blaster boon?

Come issue 19, the Fitness pool is made into inherent powers. I wondered how this change would pertain to Blasters and it seems to me the AT will likely benefit a little more than most other ATs.

It will free three, most likely lightly slotted, power picks. The Fighting pool for Weave requires a similar investment for instance (w/ the right IOs that translates into around +8.5 defense vs. all). The Medicine pool is another excellent fit that is made more available for an AT with few or no defenses or self-heals.

What are your thoughts and what powers are you likely to respec into?

Travel powers on some that don't have them. Aid Self on others. As much as anything though the ability to fit in extra attacks pre-20 instead of 22+ while having the endurance to use them will be nice. The same goes for a power like Hasten; it'll be much more useful pre-20.

It means that you can pick up 3 powers in the concealment pool to use as slotting mules for all those LotG +7.5s that people will have from spending Alignment Merits.

I bet this is exactly what it will be, because contrary to what I bolded, this doesn't sound like it will clear up slots. Massively says they don't know if it means our base stats will be increased or if we will get them as powers automatically... but maybe the author doesn't play CoH. Inherent(s) for us now means we get the power when we train to a certain level, then can slot it accordingly. Ninja Run is an oaky exception.

In other words, I don't think we'll be getting any free slots out of the deal.

Concealment will be a popular option because with 1 slot, 3 of its powers become awesome mules. Medicine may be commong on characters that have Power Boost and a lot of Global Recharge. For example, a perma-Dom /Energy Dominator could get a lot of use out of Medicine even if there was only 1 slot in each power.

I guess we'll see though.

@Gilia1
I play heroes on Champion.
I play villains on Virtue.

It means my Fire/Fire blaster is going to get deadly a lot earlier, rather than having to faff around playing power req tetris.

According to Castle:
Yes, they are enhanceable and you can add up to 5 additional slots to them, just like the current versions. The powers are all available either at level 1 or 2 (I forget at the moment) -- no waiting 'til 20 for Stamina.

Here's the only catch:

You'll have to respec to take advantage of it on existing characters.

Characters as they exist now, will only get the Inherent Fitness powers if they do not have any of them in their build. Conversely, if you don't you get them as Inherents and never get the option to select them as pool powers.
Looks like a Win

I don't think this is going to make a huge increase in blaster survivability, but what this will do is allow players to choose the medicine pool for a self heal along with a third power choice or they can choose the leaping set and pick up some + defense from combat jumping, another travel power in super jump and some hold protection in acrobatics. I will probably choose the later for most of my blasters.

My blasters are acutally my characters with the least endurance problems, so this won't be a huge deal for them from that point of view. However, being able to pick up some new powers is awesome.

On my AR/Ice/Mun I''ll add in Surveillance, Aid Other and Aid Self. Or maybe I'll add M30 back to my build and move some slots around.

For my Elec/Fire, possibly go with the Fighting pool, or stealth for LoTG mules.
