The coolest place in-game you stumbled over...?
There's this rock spire in Talos on the corner by the Serpent's Teeth marker that has an outcropping path all the way up and around it. Friends and I used to race up to the top w/o travel powers for fun

That's the /loc for the door I used to get under the map. It's on Monkey (Cutlass) Isle in PI.
Hrm, some cool places I've been:
The underground Council base in the RWZ. The Developer's Prison in Grandville. The Developer's Lounge in Faultline. The central distribution room in the Sewers. And the Rikti War mausoleum in Dark Astoria. |
Please tell me
How do you get to the Dev prison and Dev lounge?
Please tell me |
I'll tell you most of what you need about the Lounge in Faultline. Find lift "c" on the map. At the base of that lift is a hidden doorway into the lounge. It's not a clickable door it's just very, very well disguised.
Thats all you get. It's more fun to find it on your own.

I have tried to get to matrix 3 times, and every time i log back in after i'm next to the doors, i just get stuck half way in the ground. I don't fall through, as ppl are saying you do. Any Help?
Striga's Council base. Was flying over it on my main back in the day, thinking "Holy...These guys are actually kinda serious, aren't they?" I then proceeded along the walls, pummeling merry hell outta them
Also, the Sky Raiders SF redside. The oil-rig base. When you hop off the ship and go "Oh...hells."
The Crey base in the far north of Grandeville is also kinda cool.
And the floating rocks in Eastgate in the Hollows! ^^
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill
We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...
When you log out outside a door, you come out of that door when logging in. With that knowledge, you can find doors that are half-buried in the terrain in Peregrine Island / Monster Island and log off outside of them, then when you log back in you'll come out of them, and since they're half-buried, you'll be falling under the map. Once you're there, just fly towards the arena. You'll see a giant blue cube under it. Fly directly below, and type /stuck. The game will think the closest "valid" location to put you in is inside the arena map, in the area behind the doors -- the "Matrix Room" pictured above. |
thanks.
Kittens give Morbo gas.
Don't have a mission yet to get a screenie, but in one of the Council caves maps, the "boss" room which is kinda L-shaped with some small stairs up and down before you will get to the foes....just before the stairs, up high on your left is a small cave in the wall that you can jump up an into. I've always thought of it as a good sniper's nest, but unfortunately you cannot see any foes from there unless you pull them.

When I first ran through all of the Faultline arcs, I found that I really liked the atmosphere in the "abandoned super-base" maps that you have to rescue Doc Delilah from.
It had a nice "Fallout-y" feel to it, that sense of "this has been long buried, waiting for someone to come and discover its secrets" that I always did like.
But then, as a young lad I wanted to be Indiana Jones when I grew up. When I wasn't being an astronaut, a magician, a Ghostbuster, or a superhero.

I must know the location of these so I can check them out!
Does anyone have the /loc numbers for these?

This would make a really good community event... "Search for the Hidden Places"
Done right it could be made to work across all time zones and all servers...

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.
So sad to be ending ):
For me, it's the hidden area in faultline. many a time i've kicked back, accidentally knocking pool balls off the table. They are a pain to put back again...
Oddly, I was intrigued by the sheer fact that Grandville had immigration and customs. One of those smaller things you may not initially think of since the Rogue Isles are their own country.
Running from the top of the tower in Grandville to the Gutter takes you past some interesting things.

I just found the Council base in the RWZ. There's also a neat little Malta encampment around that area too. It's just a tent with some netting and some people at computers, but a nice touch nonetheless.
I should do a vid of all these... "The Coolest Places You Didn't Know Existed."

For me, it's the Bloody Rivers and Falls of the Cascade Archipelago in the Shard. There's something jarring, haunting and yet beautiful about those rivers.

Look at that. A full-grown woman pulling off pigtails. Her crazy is off the charts.
Its not a place, but I always get a laugh when I see a Telemarketer hanging out in a phone booth in Faultline.

I loved finding PD accidentally. We had just got the game four and a half years ago, and were running around with our mains in Kings Row (which looks alot like Detroit). and found this clickable truck....
Priceless!
