My issue was not so much the corridors but the pitch black textures with the crazy glowy animations in the Prison... it did get worse when you got to hallway ends where I was not able to distinguish clearly that there was a slight wall frame connecting rooms that would not let me walk through...

Who's idea was that btw? The Prison's black walls?

It was NOT just a retextured office map. You've never seen anything like it in game. The closest reference is if you could imagine the care taken to design Praetoria, now take that to make an all new interior map.

There were things such as open, multilevel stairs without railings. Wide spaces. Very sleek, modern decorations.

It's more akin to the type of office you'd see in a Bond movie or even the Matrix.

The interior design was vastly superior, and much more conducive to using powers.

EDIT: I really don't mean to be a tease. It's just that Don Pham put his heart and soul into that environment, and I really wish you guys could have seen it.

This was a nicely lit, ultra modern, clean office interior that even had windows! Fake ones, to be sure but they were done very well. It was all very befitting for the new zone. Unfortunately I don't think that work got into the beta build.
Oh man... Everything about Kalisti Warf just sounds more and more amazing...

Don't take my sadness about it to mean that I don't enjoy hearing everything there is to tell, of course.

And man would I love to see those office maps. Sounds great!

I'm not familar with this location in DA. Where would someone find it?

In old DA, at least, there's a plaque marker indicating the tomb of those who died in the Rikti War. Not entirely sure if it's in new DA or not.

I stumbled upon the cages in Nerva quite a while ago, and then months later I got the idea to incorporate them into the back story of my favorite tanker ( whisprr ). She is a Crey Experiment that is rescued by heroes from their clutches. If you log a toon on away from the Crey complex, then move to it, it will spawn full of baddies and poor creatures fill the cages. Then, you can move up to a cage til you bump into it, turn on sprint and move forward again. You will pass thru the wire and be inside the cage, waiting to be rescued!! It makes for a nice moment in the story telling. If anyone has time/will, the AE arc that starts it all is " A whisprr'd plea ". You find out that whisprr is missing, then find out why. You eventually get clues to save her from a mysterious Crey lab ( in Nerva ). Once rescued, you can continue the story by running " The Revenanat Hero Project " until you discover that this version of whisprr is (*SPOILER ALERT) a clone of the original!

Another cool place I discovered is that any SG set up for base raids/the Cathedral of Pain, can visit that map at will. Just 'start' a CoP, even with just one toon, and you can enter that map. Its a mini Shadow Shard of your very own, all from the comforts of home (base).

You could also enter any police station in the game, even the one in Old Atlas Park (and still can in Echo: Galaxy City iirc). This was nice because while the Atlas Park Mayhem/Safeguard used the map, ingame there were not contacts inside the AP station. But you could still go inside, and down the 'vator to the cells too, to play "Hide and Seek" with the new toons fresh from the tutorial.

And I just found something I never knew was there at Circe Island! I was looking for a nice cozy nook to take a screenie of a toon when I found a grotto with a small beach and stone stairs to the top of the island at -2500 9 1202 of Talos Island. Gee, I'm gonna miss this game.

Speaking of easter eggs in RWZ, I just recently found out that the top-left drawer in the Vanguard base's morgue is clickable and gives you a message.

Any other easter eggs we're missing? Been to the Cryptic lounge in Faultline, the Developer's Dungeon in Grandville. We've had Spaulding covered in this thread.

Longbow also has some dirty secrets along the same lines in their base in Nerva.

I wasn't sure what you meant by morgue until I tracked it down using /loc as being in the back of Research & Development. (Easy to find by taking the hallway under the stairs leading to the Rogue Isles portal.)

That was silly! Thank you for sharing, Codewalker.

Well, War Witch revealed that the clockwork vendors in Praetoria contain easter eggs. Supposedly by using the letters corresponding with phone keypad it spells out words/messages.

Meaning:
2 = A, B, or C
3 = D, E, or F
4 = G, H, or I
5 = J, K, or L
6 = M, N, or O
7 = P, Q, R, or S
8 = T, U, V
9 = W, X, Y or Z

Even knowing the key, I haven't figured out the words/messages. Anyone able to solve the puzzle?

Here are the clockwork vendor names from Praetoria...

Vendor 25-378 (Imperial City)
Vendor 36-287 (Neutropolis)
Vendor 48-273 (Neutropolis)
Vendor 53-276 (Imperial City)
Vendor 56-925 (Nova Praetoria)
Vendor 583-43 (Underground Neutropolis)
Vendor 62-397 (Imperial City)
Vendor 73-223 (Neutropolis)
Vendor 73-783 (Nova Praetoria)
Vendor 782-63 (Underground Neutropolis)
Vendor 844-45 * (Underground Imperial)
Vendor 87-878 (Nova Praetoria)
Vendor 878-84 * (Underground Nova)

* according to Paragon Wiki; I could not gain access with my with my hero, vigilante, or rogue alts to verify. No clockwork vendors in First Ward or Night Ward.

Dang, this is exactly the sort of thing I would have liked to see. I remeber the day of the shutdown notice I was actually drafting in my head a suggestion post for the devs.

I wanted to have a message for clicking on the door of Drenched Donuts. "You pick up two boxes of donuts, one for yourself and one for your friends at the PPD, to thank them for their work keeping the people of Paragon safe." Perhaps alternate messages for Vigilante, Rogue and Villain players (assuming Villains could get there somehow).

Indeed! And...
36-287 = FO-CUS
53-276 = LE-ARN
56-925 = LO-YAL
583-43 = JUD-GE
62-397 = OB-EYS (?)
73-223 = PE-ACE
73-783 = RE-QUE (?)
782-63 = RUB-ME (?)
844-45 = Can't figure this one out, but in case of a typo ik could be 844-65 and that spells THI-NK
87-878 = TR-UST
878-84 = TRU-TH

Trassy, I think you're right on the money with most of them.

My guesses for the ones you weren't sure of...

62-397=I think this one really is OB-EYS. Can't think of any other possible combinations.
73-783=SE-RVE
782-63=STA-ND
844-45=VIG-IL

My Favorite place was Flying Under DA... (I reported the hole as a bug but it wasn't fixed...) I can fly around the entire zone and not worry about enemies.

It's not secret or out of the way, but I enjoyed Night Ward and its arcs for pretty newly decorated maps. Cimerora might be my fave place for simply pretty, though Ouroboros and many other zones are equally lovely. Additionally, a number of the player bases I got to see were really well thought out and beautifully put together by their owners.

Did anyone notice the building with the arboretum in Atlas Park?

My friend @Malohin just noticed it last week.

Look for a domed building in AP, with glass panels in the dome. You can see in, there's trees and tables and chairs. Looks like a lovely spot.

Look on the bottom of the building for the stairs icon on a door. Click that, and *poof* you're in that arboretum.

You can see out the glass, and are entirely enclosed. It's very cool and has been there in AP since it got the refresh.

I'm such a geek. Some of my heroes have journals.

That's actually the in-game location for the Technocratic Union's supergroup base.

I have a couple of heroes who are spending their final days in there. :-(
