  1. Here are a handful of my screenshots from the event:

    Begin!

    In the midst of chaotic lag.

    Front group shot.

    Including the photographer, Samuraiko.

    How many after-party bash monsters? One... Two... Many...

    Plus dozens more memories which now make up my biggest screenshot event folder of eight years of landmark events. What a blast!

    Oh, yes I did! You personally invited Dynexus to your league when I sent you a private tell confirming I was @Llydia.

    Of course, that was during setup coordination happening in at least four chat channels simultaneously, immediately followed by a mapserver lag which threw half of us out and we got redistributed to new leagues, so I forgive you for not remembering or saying "Hi!" back. :P

    Back on topic: Arcanaville, I wish you deep and restful sleep. You accomplished a momentous feat! One I hope you are proud of for many years to come.
  3. Whew!

    That was fun.

    One of the craziest things to be successfully produced in-game. And did I mention fun?

    WAY FUN!

    Thank you again so much Arcanaville and Co for hosting this last great hurrah!

    PS Thanks for the post-party bash and door prizes. All the shinies are very pretty.

    I've beat myself up for years for not finishing the "Ghost" AE series. I got mad/frustrated with the original KB limit, and ended up retooling my arc drafts just to squeeze out 4 missions, let alone five. After all the frustration, I walked away a while to give myself breathing space, and wait for a KB increase.

    Then the Devs, devilish bastards that they are, just kept adding CONTENT. The Return of the 5th Column made me cheer like a crazed orangutan at a banana strip club. Power customization. Praetoria! INCARNATES!

    ...and, I failed. I didn't keep my promise to people who, in good faith, waited on me to conclude Dani Mizel's story.

    I didn't mean to leave it at a cliff hanger. I wanted to resolve it, but the way I wanted it, not by compromising it to shoehorn into AE. I kid you not: I have notes on the next 2 arcs to conclude her story once and for all, every mission mapped out, with map and costume notes and dialogue points, and everything.

    This year was busy for me, with the baby and all. I was hoping to get arc 3 out by January, once I took a week long holiday finally. And then the sunset notice hit.

    Everyone, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

    If there's a way to do so, I swear, I'll finish her story for you all. More than anything, this is what I hope.

    That's it. Please forgive me.
    I can't claim to have been waiting for you to finish for years.

    My confession is that I only got into AE a couple weeks ago. And then only because I had completed the rest of my bucket list on my main. And even then only because I thought it'd be fun to max number of MA ticket salvage. Farming bores me, so I've been exploring arcs composed by friends and/or ones with "Must See" ratings.

    Even getting to play your story in the eleventh hour, I enjoyed it greatly! Rather than be upset that the story is left unfinished, I'm delighted to have seen it at all.

    If you can, I'd enjoy getting to read your outlines and notes. Maybe in a thread in the AE forum?

    Either way, thank you for sharing Dani's story, Dr T!
  5. Whoowhee! What a run!

    A "defeat most" ITF completed in 1:05:09. Defeats not tracked, but they made conversation aplenty.

    Even though I faceplanted a bit - so much so I could almost take up gardening - I still went from level 35 to 39. What a rush!

    But first up was a group screenshot. (Thought I got everyone, but looking at Luna's shot it appears that I missed a couple.) It was nice to see a large turnout for the last Horde event.

    Thank you, Freedom Horde, for a memorable year with Fairy Tale and other alts, enjoying some of the best teaming on Freedom! Always great fun.

    *HUGS*

    Aw, I was going to post that after I confirmed the artist's permission. And after making sure the Wentworths got their gift first. Thankfully it looks like they did receive their surprise gift before it posted.

    I had requested to have Mrs Wentworth in her Christmas-red dress enjoying her Christmas gift: A small superdeformed/chibi/doll/plushie/pick-a-cute-figure version of a Christmas-green Mr Wentworth.

    Nojitsu made it simply adorable!

  11. It worked! Congratulations to cohRock on earning the Atlas Medallion!

    Anyone else on Beta want the Spelunker badge? Let me know and I can make a fresh copy from Live.

    Thanks again for giving me a reason to roll a new alt. Haven't done it in months and enjoyed the thrill of a new powerset combo all over again.
  12. cohRock - Actually, I want to thank you. It gave me a good excuse to roll up a staff fighting alt that I've always meant to try. Fun so far!

    The character finally loaded up on Beta and the mission looks ready to run. *fingers crossed*

    I'm going to log into Live for now and run some missions on my main. /t @Llydia when you are ready and I'll jump back to Beta.

    Tag, you're it!
  13. Finally got the Fortune Teller mission! Sorry it took me all night, but I had to roll a new alt (and then run through hoops with several detectives/radios/contacts) because it turned out all of my existing alts were level 20+.

    Loading her to Beta now. It seems to be running slow.

    I'm going to take an educated guess that you are sleeping right now and permit myself to do the same too. I'll send a /tell on live and post in this thread again once I'm back in the game. We'll play tag until you've got the badge. ;->
  14. I commend all who are playing the game as they best enjoy it!

    cohRock - After tonight's CoH project I'll unlock the mission on an alt then copy them to Beta. Once they're ready I'll contact you.
  15. What a fantastic idea! Thank you for sharing your talents to host this, Arcanaville.

    I'll plan to be there with Dynexus on Beta server this Wednesday Nov 28th at 6:00pm PST. (Yes, houtex, that's 8pm CST just for you. )

    Also hope to make it Monday if it doesn't conflict with the Horde.

    Very excited to see this burst of creativity among the players. Keep being heroes!
  16. ChristopherRobin deserves extra KUDOS. Their original coXso weekend event starting 11/02/2012 was extended again and again to include the maximum number of players and artists possible, and then some, clear through 11/20/2012. Truly heroic labor of love. Thank you, ChristopherRobin! And thank you for assisting with logistics, DarthDelicious!

    These links document that huge community event. Please let me know of any typos or if you can help fill in a ??? blank.

    I wasn't sure what you meant by morgue until I tracked it down using /loc as being in the back of Research & Development. (Easy to find by taking the hallway under the stairs leading to the Rogue Isles portal.)

    That was silly! Thank you for sharing, Codewalker.

    Well, War Witch revealed that the clockwork vendors in Praetoria contain easter eggs. Supposedly by using the letters corresponding with phone keypad it spells out words/messages.

    Meaning:
    2 = A, B, or C
    3 = D, E, or F
    4 = G, H, or I
    5 = J, K, or L
    6 = M, N, or O
    7 = P, Q, R, or S
    8 = T, U, V
    9 = W, X, Y or Z

    Even knowing the key, I haven't figured out the words/messages. Anyone able to solve the puzzle?

    Here are the clockwork vendor names from Praetoria...

    Vendor 25-378 (Imperial City)
    Vendor 36-287 (Neutropolis)
    Vendor 48-273 (Neutropolis)
    Vendor 53-276 (Imperial City)
    Vendor 56-925 (Nova Praetoria)
    Vendor 583-43 (Underground Neutropolis)
    Vendor 62-397 (Imperial City)
    Vendor 73-223 (Neutropolis)
    Vendor 73-783 (Nova Praetoria)
    Vendor 782-63 (Underground Neutropolis)
    Vendor 844-45 * (Underground Imperial)
    Vendor 87-878 (Nova Praetoria)
    Vendor 878-84 * (Underground Nova)

    * according to Paragon Wiki; I could not gain access with my with my hero, vigilante, or rogue alts to verify. No clockwork vendors in First Ward or Night Ward.
