Needing some CoH knowledge plz

Okay so I am doing everything I can to finish up my comic and I have a scene dealing with a Vanguard officer on a Naval ship.

1. Do we have any navel ships in the game? I know in North Talos there are tankers and transport vessels but do we have any Navy looking battleships or something that could pass as one?

2. I have a seen where a Vanguard commander is speaking with a navy officer. The officer is supposed to be at a computer or desk and following communications and radar.
Does anyone know of a set ingame, a map in AE or on a unique map TF/SF/Trial or ANYWHERE I can use, instead of just defaulting to base editing?

I appreciate any input and advice on this. I have 12 days to get this done and a mountain of work to do (work that normally would take me a month and a half to two months) so please reply back asap on this.

Thank you guys. Gonna miss the best online community ever.

Independence Port should have some.

There are parts of the Vanguard base in RWZ that could work.

Well, besides the big one in Indy Port with a helicopter on it, the Admiral Sutter TF has a bunch of them. Just have to clear out the War Walkers from them first

Thank you!

Do you know of any ships that would be NPCs? By that I mean that it isn't set and built into the map. So if I demorecord, I'll see a character and command code to generate a ship? We have them for Rikti vessels but not sure if there are any others.

I guess my question now for many are, anyone doing an Admiral Sutter on any servers? I have several character transfers so I can go to any server. Looks like I need a team of at least 4, all at least lvl 40. They would also have to be alright with me abandoning the team for a few minutes here and there so I can fly around and take screen shots and demorecordings.

Unless this map is available in AE but I don't seem to see it there.

So, anyone feel up to it? lol

Statesman TF puts you on a ship. Also Warburg. Not sure if anyone's sitting down

If I'm not mistaken, Sutter is the current WST so it shouldn't be too hard to get one going. Try virtue server if you're not having luck elsewhere. The first signature story arc also has a navy ship in part 7 (plus a few floating in the air).

I also recommend Signature Story Arc 1 Part 7. It can be run solo (especially if you turn all the difficulty settings all the way down) and has lots of ships. Also part of it is inside of a ship, so you can see if that setting works for what you want.

If you don't have access to the SSA on live, you can "purchase" them for 0 points on the Beta server, downloadable through the NCsoft Launcher.

Should you still want to run the Admiral Sutter TF it is level range 20 - 40 (auto-exempt to 40 for those over) for 04 - 08 players. I have two accounts on Freedom that can run it for you. I think I can find a fourth to get it started by asking nicely. Then my alt can go AFK/log-out so you can take all the time you want exploring maps.

Also, the sub that you blow up as part of Nocturne's arc is an in-game model so you can place that as necessary.

The problem is I haven't gone through them all yet. Its on my list of things to do before the end. I guess I'll just pause where I am and do these sooner than I planned.

I appreciate the offer. I also have two accounts so we may not need to find a third. I'll see how the sig arc goes. Thank you.

Try to do the Admiral Sutter TF while you can. It's really fun, and does a great job making you feel like you're taking part in an epic encounter.

So, the Rikti are invading as an end-game thing... you're looking for RADAR blips, naval ships... Rihanna had better not be in this.

And speaking of subs, isn't there a 007-style submarine dock hidden in a mountain that has a bunch of control consoles on the platforms? It wasn't a signature arc either, but it's been forever since I've seen it.

I think that is "Part Three: Stop Nocturne and get the tape" from the contact Jim Temblor. Hero Flashback arc "Rumblings of the Past", level 16 - 19.

I seem to remember in one part of the first SSA there is a mission with a bunch of the battleships from Sutter - floating in the air - that you have to climb to reach the floating island..... and its soloable.

SSA 1.7, mission... 2 or 3 I believe. You don't actually get to the island, you have to enter the highest ship and clear it out.

There's also a different bond style base with subs in the psychochronometron arc from Agent G in faultline.

It is a fantastic map... and it's not even the best map for that arc. ^_^

I've reached all the suggested areas except for the Admiral Sutter TF. When would you be available, assuming you are still willing to assist?

Sorry for a slow reply. Was on a Freedom Horde TF and am only now catching up on the forums.

I am logged on Live for a few hours. Just send me a "/t @Llydia, Ready for Sutter TF!" and I'll get it started with you on Freedom server. If I don't respond within five minutes, send a second /tell as I might have missed it between swapping alts.

Thank you but old SG members happen to log on and they helped me start it real quick. Thank you again! =D

I think the Sutter is the best out of all of the options everyone gave as I can get shots of them in the wide open waters (except for the angle and direction of the base).

I still however am having trouble finding a good set for when the comm officer has his scene. So if anyone comes up with anything, let me know.

Glad to hear you found most of what you needed in the Sutter TF! Good luck locating an ideal location for your comm officer, too.
