Bets for final population turnout?

In the past 3 weeks, I've logged on several times each day. I don't really play anymore, as there are seldom any teams available. I have solo'd a few missions to complete some arcs I wanted to but that's about it.

So I'm wondering what everyone thinks the last few hours will bring in terms of server population? I saw Arcana's Beta server event announcement, so I'm guessing that will be the only place the die-hard actually log into for the final lights out party? I'm betting the vast majority of players don't even know about the Beta server, let alone how to access it. So lets assume that will be a "forum community" only type of event. Too bad really, sounds like fun.

But given how low the server population is already, is anyone planning to transfer to a single server for their own lights-out party? If so, where? I'm a member of 8 different SG's and looking at the rosters, I'm the only one of about 300 active players to have even logged in since early September. If that ratio is indicative of what's really happening, I'm not sure its worth even bothering to be here for the lights out moment.

I'm betting we have less than 2500 players turn out come closing time.

IF I decide to come for the sunset it will be on Freedom. I basically said my goodbye the the game on 10/20 when I did the Extra Life campaign. Every time I log in now none of my global friends are even on. So logging in to watch a game sunset without any friends there...not really something I want to do.

I belong to quite a few friend's SGs to help them with editing and/or inviting alts...I logged into them all yesterday and the most recent login for any of them was 23 days ago....

Alot. Might even get Atlas 33 again the real way, a level of population that should of been going on day to day and not only when it's too late.

Difficult one to gauge really. Midnight PST is going to be 7 am UK time and me and the other half are planning to get up early and log in for the final couple of hours, if for no other reason just to see what happens. Hadn't really paid attention to Arcana's beta event, and if it coincides with the time of the shutdown that's a bit of a shame because it immediately splits those who know about it and those who don't. Far better, surely, for everyone to be together as the lights go out?

I would like to think there'll be a bit of a resurgence of players who want to give the game the appropriate send off, so hopefully Virtue will have all 33 APs back

Wondering if we shouldn't start promoting that people use their remaining server xfer tokens to migrate to a single server for one last gathering?

Except IF I do come for the sunset - I am going to be on the server I have been on since 2005 (Freedom). Not spending my last few minutes on Virtue or any other server. I didn't play on Virtue for a reason - same reason I wouldn't want my last minutes in this game to be there.

I'll be on Justice, where I started on release, bringing the house down with whoever is left.

I'll be bouncing around all the severs on Friday to be with as many people as possible.

Though I started on Triumph, and later made Justice my home, I will be on beta.

After that, I plan to drink until I don't care that it hurts, and then cry myself to sleep.

For those of you that still don't seem to realize this even now- VIRTUE IS STILL ACTIVE! If you want to actually play with other people, than you need to come here. We run constant TFs, and there's always multiple teams advertising for tips, papers, etc.

There's a reason why Virtue's population eventually exceeded Freedom's. PUGs on Freedumb are a nightmare of immature players that play poorly. By comparison, Virtue is PUG heaven. We tend to be friendly, mature and intelligent. You will have fun here. Transfer today.

I plan to be solo street sweeping in either RWZ or DA on Pinnacle with BZB when the servers get turned off. Dying as he lived seems more than appropriate.

If your post is indicative of the level of maturity on Virtue - no thanks.

I think a lot of players who haven't been active will still log in for the final day. I'll log in for sure. They're planning one last raid night on Freedom, and I definitely want to take part in that.

One thing I will not miss about CoH is that type of poor attitude.

Virtue is sitll the heaviest server right now - it's the only one to still hit 2 yellow dots on a regular basis.
