Bets for final population turnout?

I knew I Burnt The Toast was probably going to flame me, but I'm genuinely surprised at the vehemence from the rest of you. I suppose your anecdotal evidence of "that one time" that you couldn't find a team on Virtue trumps my knowledge of my home server. And I definitely wasn't exaggerating anything.

Golden Girl is right: Virtue's the only server that still hits 2 dots(and it does so daily). It's a sure bet that you'll find other people to play with there during this last week. Refuse to believe it all you want.

I flamed you?? I simply stated your statement was immature; which it is/was. ASSUMING an entire server does not know how to play? ASSUMING an entire server is immature... And of course...insinuating this all with the misname of Freedumb.... Just because you may have ran into a few immature people on PUGs on Freedom is that what you are basing your experience off? See there...I used your own logic against you Because Freedom has been my home server for 7 years and I have never had trouble on PUGs..and the only immature people I have ran into were during pvp events by a select few people.

I played on Virtue for a year and had a horrible time with RP/ERPers...do I think all Virtue people are sex starved virgins who can't get laid so they flock to Virtue to bust a nut while pretending to be girls??? No. But you can take select examples though and use those to generalize an opinion of an entire server...it still makes you sound ignorant and immature

BTW I don't think all Virtue players are into ERP or heck even RP, but my dislike for RP is why I left Virtue. I originally joined to play with a few friends...we were trying out different servers and making more bases to tinker in. Eventually we all left Virtue, Guardian, and a few other servers to head back home to Freedom.

If you don't want "flamed" don't say things which come across as ignorant.

I've got two accounts. And I can log onto live and beta at the same time. Moreover, my machine can multi-box up to 4 instances if I kick into windowed mode and bring resolution down from 1920x1080.

I can be at home on Protector, logged in on AP33 in Virtue and have TWO points of presence on Beta. I can be all things!

I'd play "I'm Every Woman" as a background theme. But it'd be REALLY weird, since I'm a guy...

I kinda wish people would stop calling this a "sunset". A sunset is something that inevitably happens to a game when it dies of old age. CoH wasn't dying of old age, it was dragged kicking and screaming into a back alley and shot in the face.

On Union, if current numbers are anything to go by, the only ones left on execution day will be half a dozen RPers.

Well, like Virtue, I'm assuming that's because RP groups are more easily satisfied - and I don't mean that in a bad way - I mean that once they find a game they like, they're more likely to settle down for the long haul than, say, PvP groups or raiders, who both require more specific things from a game, and are both more likely to leave if those requirements aren't met.

789 jellybeans.

D'oh. Wrong contest!

42 Atlas instances in Virtue. Servers break at 8:32 pm and don't come back up until 10:27 pm CST, at which time, we go back to 2 Atlas instances for two seconds.

At exactly midnight Pacific, 2 AM central, 3 AM eastern, there will be at least 10 angry CoH-TSW refugees fighting for the last El Mexicano burrito because fighting through the wee hours takes a lot out of you. I'll pbaoe knock the others out, win and be the last person on the server. Which leaves me with Virtue's Pocket D tab. Damnit. I lose again!

789 is still my answer.

No.

If we get too many people on one server, then other people will get locked out. I don't want anyone locked out of logging on to their favorite characters and saying goodbye to friends at the end.

Read the section I quoted in my earlier post. I played on Freedom for years, and mostly pugged the TFs. The groups I joined were almost invariably filled with nice people who were decent players. As was the case when I played on Pinnacle, and I'm sure would have been the case for any other server. Server-bashing was always petty, and at this point it just looks ridiculous.

Well... perhaps I was premature about that whole 'signing off' thing... - 11-9-2012

I'm doubtful there would be enough people to lock out any server.

Yeah I don't see any servers getting full at this rate. We (my friends and I) had a party planned for the last few hours of game...but at this point standing around and waiting for the game to end seems a bit depressing to some of us.

I think instead we are just gonna all get drunk and have a lil party on skype LOL!

I suspect most of the population has already moved on. Remember, we fanatics are a very vocal minority compared to the casuals and power gamers who never frequent the forums and probably never even heard of SaveCoH. Many of them likely moved on after the first month or so, permanently, and not all of us fanatics are going to be there. I likely won't.

Doom.

Yep.

This is really doom.

Two people is one more than you need!

Either way, I'll be on Virtue, dancing into oblivion.
