Ugh! Newbs these days.

I stopped here, because I knew where the rest was going to go.
I should have too, but I like to see the train wrecks happen.
The funny thing is, that isn't the first sub-10 team I've seen attempt all LT farms. The first one I was on I quit immediately. This one...I needed to see!
How nice of the leader to throw you out of the train before it wrecked.

No shocker there. It's the new "If we do missions on Invincible, of course we'll level faster!".
There is no longer any farming in the AE. There are hilariously inept attempts at imitating farming.

When I opened this thread I expected a lot more "In my day" and "Get off my lawn." I was disappointed.
Sorry to disappoint!

I had anad <10 level AE farm.
After the first 5 mins the smart ones amongst us exited the AE farm and went back to the good old Mercy Island Bank Farm.
20 minutes later we had gained 3 levels and moved to Port Oakes.

I hate when I get on teams like this. People don't get it that you can't be 5 levels under the enemy and farm efficiently at the same time.
You still need a level 50 to do all the work for you if you want fast levels, otherwise just join a sewers run or a TF.
Heh, the other day I was standing in Atlas and noticed a broadcast that read: "Lvl 2 invincible team LFM". I laughed so hard that I almost wet my pants.
The best newbs are the ones who decide they know what they're doing and ignore everyone else as they lead themselves (and the team) to certain doom time and time again. Bonus points if they call you names for telling them otherwise.
Dispari has more than enough credability, and certainly doesn't need to borrow any from you.

Just remember "Farm" is a 4 letter F word. Reworking some of the previous posts with correct censorship.

Sometimes I wish you could view missions in the AE like in arena matches. I would spend hours just watching stupid people and laughing.

As I predicted we pulled about half the first spawn, barely survived them, and somehow aggroed the rest of them, who proceeded to kill us. I commented that we were too low to handle a level 51 all LT spawn and was promptly kicked from the team.
Honestly I planned on quitting it anyway, but out of curiosity I asked the leader why. "bcuz" I was bringing the team down and they could do it as long as they pulled.

Sunday afternoon my level 24 Illusion/emp Controller got onto an AE team; I soon discovered many ofthe others were level 10 and below. I think three of us were over level 20. "This ought to be interesting..." I thought to myself. I am new to both these sets btw.
We zone in to a map full of 50+ bosses, I don't remember exactly what level. As I recall most of them were conning red to me. Anyhoo, the Blaster says "let me pull" and goes into the snipe stance...
*suicidal scrapper runs into first spawn and instantly dies horribly, preceding an absolutely merciless team-wipe. I barely had time to hit the heal once before we were all face-down on the pavement*
Suicidal Scrapper: [BAD'S CHARACTER'S NAME]!!!!!!
Me: ....you rang?
S.S.: You're supposed to be healing us!!
Me: Don't rush in when you're level 10. Stay with the team.
S.S.: You suck! [censored]!
[Keep your mouth shut and be thought a pre-teen, open it and remove all doubt.]
me: LOL.
So, team hosps and regroups, the Blaster is lining up to pull when S.S. runs headlong into a group and dies horribly again. This time we manage to kill everyone in the spawn, but I decline to rez S.S. just on general principles.
S.S.: Get over here and rez me, %^&#.
Me: Do you kiss your momma with that mouth...? go to the hospital, I am not rezzing anyone who talks like you do.
S.S.: *long string of adolescent cussing, mostly gay-oriented slurs.... as if this is the A-bomb of insults. ~yawn~*
I am hoping that these newbies will learn soon that it doens't matter if the team IS exemped up to level 50 or whatever, if you have two attacks you are not all that much good, and you are no match for a level 50+ NPC. The only person to blame for that is the greedy one looking [general] you in the mirror. And these kids are greedy like nobody's business.

I join low level AE farms just for the chuckle factor. Maybe I'm a tad twisted, but I love watching a bunch of below level 10 characters SK'd up to 46 trying to take down level 51 LTs. The best part is when they convince themselves that a tank and healer would make all the difference.

The funniest part is when you walk onto the map and tell them what will happen. Then it does... then someone says we need a higher tank and a healer. At this point I laugh, and quit.
It is funny when I get a tell asking why I quit. I guess some people like licking pavement at lvl 2 better than getting XP and a free travel power soon after.
Bad, I like your story
Some people are new, some people are veterans, but I guess some people are simply jerks and idiots. I say let 'em die. It's the only way they'll learn.
That, and I stay away from the Architect. It's become the drain for the entire community's stupidity, both in terms of bad teams and horrible missions. It's a shame, because there's some brilliant content over there, but the crowd it attracts is just... Ugh! At least it sucks that horror out of the regular content so I'm less likely to run into it. Which is good in its own way.
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

I wonder how many of these newbies give up and try normal content, and are surprised at how quickly they gain levels and don't die.
Got on my level 7 dominator in mercy and /b'd for a team. Got invited by someone who seemed somewhat clueless. Said we were gonna do AE. She invited other people of varying lowbie levels. The highest was 15, everyone else was <10.
We go into the mish set and it's a totally normal mission, but the levels are off. Leader says she selected the wrong mission. Ok, all out, quit, reform, new mish.
Outdoor city map, level 51 LT farm... ugh I was ready to quit right then and there but I figured I would see how it went.
My response was "Sure, you probably could clear that map, pulling 2-3 guys at a time, slogging through it slowly. Or we can do missions we are actually capable of handling, blow through them 5x as fast, and gain way more XP over time. But that's just my 42 months of experience playing this game talking."
No response...
Newbs these days...
Maybe I should just set up a lawn chair at the front porch of the AE building and shake my cane at everyone who walks by and try to rope them into stories about "the good old days..."
