I'm sorry but AE makes me laugh, just like it did from day-1... even then I knew nothing good would come of it and look where we are today... sad really, but people are people and you can't change human nature. *shrugs*

Agreed. Not a big fan of the new design. It just seems over-complicated and cumbersome compared to the old design... and I'll be damned if it ain't the UGLIEST thing I've ever seen.
As someone who has a minor background in UI design, the new market interface is a perfect example of what NOT to do and I predict many newbie heads exploding when GR hits... not to mention the endless amount of rage posts from them losing a ton of inf with the persistent bid numbers. -
Well Justice just went kaput as well, so don't feel bad.

I've never heard of the people mentioned so far (except Sparticus, Batman, Cher, etc.), so as far as I'm concerned, no one famous plays this game.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but all of the AE babies left with the last nerf, so the answer to your question is "no".
-
I just delete them when they drop, so it's like they never existed.

Does anyone else find it a little amusing that Rod made a pole? Oh, wait...

The answer is simple: Bacon takes longer to cook on redside.

Well, I suppose we'll truly never know exactly why things are the way they are. So, until we all try to generate and market our own superhero games, these kinds of things will continue to bewilder us.

Dang... I ran out of popcorn already.

Quote:As far as the line separation, I don't really know. They once told us that the enhancement stores used to only have "power 10" enhancements in order to keep the scrollable list of things to buy smaller and easier to manage. So that logic went that in order to keep the list more manageable, they denied you better enhancement for, among other things, mezzes and endurance modification until higher levels. Is there logic there? Oh, yeah. Is it logic most players would come up with? I have to wonder.
Enhancement lists are irrelevant since they're used for a completely different purpose.
Think about it, how incredibly annoying would it be to scroll through the list if every main zone popped up? And how often would someone accidentally click on the wrong zone in haste while on a TF or whatnot (even though that still happens even with the current set-up)?
I'm not saying that the PTA system is perfect, because it's fairly clumsy as it is, but it could be a lot worse. I tend to think it was designed to limit congestion and in that respect, it's doing a pretty good job. -
Quote:You should accept it. It's factually correct. They really did expect people to slog from mission to mission on foot, despite giving them access to (literally) high-flying and/or high-speed travel powers. We have this from their own mouths.
That may be true, but I always thought the Yellow/Green lines were separated due to keeping the zone list small enough to quickly find where you wanted to go and reducing the amount players blocking the entrance gates. Of course, I tend to think logically, which may not apply here. -
Hey Sharkbait, you wouldn't happen to be related to Alanis Morissette, would you?

Yes, it's Prof. Echo who you fight repeatedly and the arc is in two parts... AFAIK it hasn't changed.

DOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!... well, someone had to say it.

Quote:To be honest, I use to say the difference in merits was due to the length of TFs vs. SFs but I'm not so sure anymore. This weekend I was a part of a Numina TF, Manticore TF and a Master Dr. Kahn and not one of them took longer than 61 mins (manti took 60 mins). I've run all SFs in the past couple months and they usually take 45-90 minutes.
Yep, that's pretty standard in my experiences, as well... which probably contributes to why not many villains will do SFs anymore, considering that you can get more merits faster by running Ouro arcs solo. It's sad really, but that seems to be the norm now. -
Quote:Holy cow, they should've done this years ago... no more begging for teams at lower levels... WOOT!!!Defenders will get a 30% damage bonus when playing solo. This bonus goes down very quickly with each team mate.
On the flip side, Defenders will get a reduction to endurance costs of their powers the more team mates they have.
It's a great way to make them more effective no matter what situation they're in. -
