Fodder for the Canon: Ask your lore questions here
Kind of a simple question. Maybe someone else here will know the answer for me.
The blades that Blood Widows and Night Widows use. Are they surgically implanted into their bodies? Or part of the suit? or what? Because they pop out like claws, but Widows are natural origin.
Just curious
I have more questions:
The Longbow: The one thing that bothers me is where do they lie legally? I play a villain a lot and when I am on a Mayhem Mission they occasionally say "Stop in the name of Longbow". This bothers me a bit and I get the sense fo "Justice Lords" when it comes to them. Is there a something about them that they are keeping secret and plotting to take over the world through popularity? Also something Maticore said they work in Nerva a place that is above legality, does this mean they can execute whomever without reprecussions? I mean I see this alot at their base, four Longbow vs (Insert single villain). Not very heroic in my book.

What does heroism have to do with it? When pursuing a suspect, do the police send less officers so that it's a "fair fight"?

If they are uimplanted that could lead to so many awkward situations on shoreleave o.@
I have a small question
I know that the strongest known metal in the CoH universe is impervium.
Where does impervium come from? Is it made in labs, found on meteors, something else? And also, can you tell us more about it and it's properties, color, etc?
PS: Sorry if this has been answered already, I've been searching for info on it but I can't find it any beyond what I see on salvage pieces.
Also, any chance the fluff from the defunct CoH Pen and Paper RPG campaign book will get released? Sure would be great to have a tome of this stuff.

You think that's bad? Consider Crab Spiders. Far worse, in my opinion, although that also leads the question of that's just a backpack or cyberneticly fused to the spine. I tend to believe the latter, if only because they're nonremovable, but that may be just a game limitation rather than reflecting the canon.
Intimate situations are complicated by eighty-odd pounds of fusion cannon and impervium claws.
Okay, I got a new question. In the new background information for Maelstrom, it mentions that he was partnered up with a super-strong, invulnerable hero named Ironsides aka "Melee". It's mentioned that the two used Melee's invulnerability to good effect in their past missions, particularly in using Melee as a bullet shield.
However, once they are captured by Praetorian forces, Maelstrom is able to kill Melee by shooting him in the head.
Um...how does that work? Did no one try to shoot him in the head before? Was he foolish enough to drop his "at will" invulernability in front of Tyrant? Or was his "invulnerable skin" somehow not extended to his eyeballs or his mouth or something?
EDIT: Hold the phone, wait a second. Going back over the entry on Mael, it mentions that Mother Mayhem has Seers?? Does this mean she runs the Praetorian Fortunata corps?
Manti, I know you won't answer that question, 'cause it's too close to revealing large chunks of the Prae/Arachnos connections. Can we at least get a clarification on the original logical inconsistency?

I read speculation elsewhere that the two are related. Melee was under psionic assault by mayhem and her seers. Either he was in enough psychic distress he couldn't maintain focus on his defensive abilities (Got toggle-dropped) or we can assume that Maelstrom killing Melee wasn't a spur-of-the-moment thing, and he'd been planning ways to kill his partner for a good time, and had acquired some special armor-piercing impervium-kryptonite bullets.

It occured to me that the real answer is that CoH:GR is going to once again change the PVP experience sufficient that a lethal dmg blaster can one-shot an Invul/ tank.

How is the Salvage system explained within the CoH universe? What are the legal aspects, if any? Or are we simply mugging our victims?

I have no insight or idea why Shivans would be affected as true undead with the Ghost Slaying Axe. The skeletons just seem to be the most readily available framework for the Shivan energy-turned-protoplasm to attach to, but that's my opinion, not canon.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not protoplasm. Ectoplasm. From the Shivan Destroyer description: "They seem little more than ectoplasmic jumbles of destruction and hate." The Decimator description says something similar: "This Decimator seems to pulse with ectoplasmic destruction and hate."
Now, it is possible for "ectoplasm" to refer to living stuff--the outer part of a cell's cytoplasm (as opposed to "endoplasm") and part of a jellyfish. However, popular usage associates it with paranormal phenomena, particularly ghosts. The Shivan goo is supposedly a manifestation of energy from the meteors, which follows reasonably well with the concept of paranormal ectoplasm. It's not implausible to think of the Shivans as "ghosts" (or at east ghost-like beings). On the other hand, Shiva itself was described as a devourer and a destroyer; it could be that it was (or is) a being driven by an anti-life force, in a state similar enough to undeath to qualify. On the gripping hand, it could be that Shiva itself was "killed", and is actually in an undead state. Just because something is from outer space doesn't necessarily mean that it's purely Science Origin.
Of course, Shivans drop Tech salvage, so who knows?

Okay, Ms. Liberty is supposed to be holding Excalibur for Hero 1? That thing she has would be considered a short sword for her, for Hero 1 it'd barely be a letter opener! What's the deal?
Issue 16 made me feel like this.

Edit:
This has been bugging me for a while, but Sister Airlia, is she different from Ghost Widow? Just the Cimerorian version? Or is there a further connection between the two (ancestor/same person/etc)?
[/ QUOTE ]
Personally I think that Ghost Widow is Airlia's reincarnation. Maybe Airlia was cursed by Sister Solaris to continue to reicarnate until she won't do something specific. Airlia however has discovered that, by gathering enough mystic energy into one of her reincarnations, she can break the curse (so, in her first arc, she tried to gather those energies into GW).

In Founder's Falls there is a Nautral Origin contact by the name of Agent Six , who apparently works for a branch of the CIA named "Omega Watch".
Who is this organisation? What do they do? What is their agenda? Any information would be appreciated.

Normally in comics the President is the same that in reality (for example, now in Marvel's comics is Obama - as saw in a Spiderman issue and other ones), so I think it's the same thing in CoX (so Obama here too).

This has probably been asked before, but is there any plans to put Spark Blade and Rose Star into the game in some form, just like Foreshadow and Mirror Spirit are Trainers and Bosses in Scirocco's Patron Arch's?

Something witty and profound
I have a question about Bane Spider VEATs.
In Westin Phipp's third arc, Bane of the Heart, it's revealed that all Bane Spiders have psychic powers, which have been "turned inward" for some kind of mass-self-hypnosis to keep all Bane Spiders fiercely loyal to Arachnos and Lord Recluse.
It's said pretty clearly that this deals with all Bane Spiders, so assumably having psychic powers, and doing the self-hypnosis thingy seems to be a job requirement for becoming one. Obviously this is not the case, given how part of Alan Desslock's, the VEAT contact's, shtick is working against Arachnos and more or less helping you so you can be his inside man, so to speak. So my question is:
What is the official reason for Bane Spider not being part of the Bane Spider brother-selves?
Perhaps this has been answered before, but here goes:
Whose GIGANTIC statue stands on Peregrine Island (Crimson hangs out near it)? Was there an actual female hero named "Peregrine" and the island was named after her, or is it someone else?
Okay, I know all questions about Praetorian Earth aren't gonna be answered until Going Rogue is at least in open beta, but...are there any plans to refer to the Praetorian version of Bloody Bay as Michael Bay?
