Err -- that's entirely anecdotal and can be easily explained by factors other than an increase in population.
You said the population was measurably higher. Could you please cite the source for that statement?

Not finding a team can be extremely frustrating, I know because I play odd hours and often during the wee hours of the morning it can be more of a challenge.
That being said last night I logged on my controller in the 40's, and was immediately invited to a TF. The group didn't really work out, but I managed to find a group for my brute in Cimm. Wish I had remembered I hadn't finished the midnighter mission, so swapped to my corrupter. After a mission in cimm, we went to the AE and ran a couple Architect missions, then me and a buddy decided to log onto heroes on another server and do radio missions in PI with a couple people we found there.
These were characters on 3 different servers, ranging from low to high pop, and at a variety of levels. There are teams out there they just might take a bit longer to find, and you can make good experience. I use server specific channels quite a bit as it makes finding people much easier, but don't limit yourself to any one strategy.

I play on Freedom Server and unless this is just an illusion...it seems like this game is scrambled all over the place. Everyone level is in every zone, teams are scarce, AE farms are terrible at best, PvP is a dead zone EVEN on freedom. I play siren's call and it used to be booming all day every day. RV is okay. But still, is it just me or has the population deteriorated in a big way?

I honestly have characters on every server, and I bounce between 3-4 servers whenever I'm on.
All kidding aside, I'm sorry that you seem to have problems finding teams. My experience has been just the opposite. It doesn't matter if I'm on Virtue, Freedom, Protector, Pinnacle, Guardian, Triumph, whatever . . . I usually get several invites a session, even when I'm playing at odd hours.
As for PvP my friends usually have to coerce me into it. It's never really been my cup of tea.
If you are going to try another server, Make a test character on whichever servers you choose to check out first. Don't pay for any transfers until you decide that you like your new home.
Each server has a distinct personality.
Post a request in the individual server forums that you want to check it out. You'll probably get some friendly SG's to show you around and you'll have a new group of friends to start with rather than starting from scratch not knowing anyone.

First and foremost, Zekiran, you said there was a "measurable" amount of player growth. I am simply asking for you to cite your source.
Secondly, you are making a positive claim, that there are more people in game than there used to be, and the burden of proof is therefore upon you. Your behavior is often referred to as "lobbing the burden of proof". You have made a claim and, instead of backing it up with anything substantial, have demanded that I disprove it. This is not logically sound.
Thirdly, you most certainly do have to cite a source when you make claims such as the one my first point. The claim that it feels as though there are more people in game is perfectly valid and can be legitimately backed up with anecdotal tales of your experience in game. But this is not what you claimed, you claimed that, "The population of the game has *increased* measurably...". This claim is utterly invalid without proof thereof.
I'm sorry if this conversation has upset you; such was not my intention. I am, quite honestly, interested in seeing any proof of an increase in this game's population and I was hoping that you might be able to show me said proof.
Playing in the game is proof enough for most folks, to see how many there are. *shrug* I am sorry if I can't produce the magical numbers you want, since as it was pointed out by another nay-sayer that it's up to NC and they haven't released their numbers yet. My anecdotal evidence is backed up by others' anecdotal evidence, and what we pretty much see is a difference. I can't offer you numbers I don't have, but I can offer you the very strong opinion shared by others.
I don't really know why you'd wonder - unless you somehow think that it's wrong? Have YOU experienced something different and in what way? The only thing we can compare in reality here, are more anecdotes.

I concur.
Investing a little bit of time in finding a decent Freedom-based (or whichever server you're on or decide to go to) global channel and taking the time to become active in it will exponentially increase your ability to find a team and feel a part of things.
Badging channels, even if you're not a badger, are a good place to start because they're generally massively populated compared to other channels. Plus, as a PVPer there are badges you could easily get some help getting that would be beneficial to you.

After sitting on my lvl 18 dom asking lft over and over then trying to form a team but there is either A. no one in the zone at the zone lvl or B. no one willing to team. So i ended up soloing and whaddya know, it is terribly painful...I'd say you have missed your target my friends. Quote me as saying "AE farms are terrible" in the original post.

Jay Doherty: Yes, there was this one night that I was ready to go home but had to drop the browns off at the super bowl before I left for home. While on the throne it hit me. I stayed for a few more hours and that why we have the pain pads in the game.
Addressing as many of the posts that have been made since I logged off today for work. To all of you saying "there are specifically x amount of people lft right now, try harder" I have been leading teams since I first started playing 17 or so months ago and I know how it works. Just because someone says "lft" in their status or w/e it doesnt mean they are lft just simply send tells and you will realize that only about 10% of those tells are returned which is complete BS. I always respond to every single tell i get, come on ppl! it takes 3 godamned seconds.Go ahead! Please keep posting numbers out of the air, this doesn't change the fact that it is substantially harder for me to find a team now than it was 4 or so months ago. Also, when I mentioned PvP zones i was not mentioning pvp teams but raw numbers, the fact is since i13, where CASTLE stated for a fact on test that "this is not for the general pvp public" that is jsut a slap in the face, and since i13, the PVP population has diminished significantly. I'm sorry that I wish I could find a team at 12pm pst 3pm est when I generally log on but it is just not there! Maybe on blue side, but i havent been playing there lately. But the facts are here, i'm not lieing about not finding a team, im not lieing about having so few people to pvp with. Believe me, I have no investments in any other game, my only investments are the CoX toons I have spent countless hours on and If anyone wants this game to do well It is me! Ares as many of you know me. Farming, Tfs, PvP, Radios/Papers, raids, I love it all! And I just want this game to do well and continue to prosper but atm, I just do not see it. I'm not asking anyone to agree with me, I am just stating that I feel this game could be doing MUCH better. For isntance, buff up pve toons a bit, one way could be making stamina less significant.

Try soloing with a ice/psy dom...no dmg at all. takes like 5 minutes to kill minions lol. Same can be said about my troller. Not every toon can easily solo, and it is annoying that I ALWAYS have to get stamina. Also, i do not disagree that this game is easy because it is, but how does buffing pve really hurt anyone??? Will people really complain that it is now easier for them to do damage in a mission!? I think not my friend.

Doms are getting a buff in issue 15.
If you ALWAYS have to get stamina you should make your builds better. That simple. If I can get by without it, anybody can.
Yes some people will complain if the game is made easier. A lot of people like a challenge.
Challenge?! If they are looking for a challenge go play Halo or go fight GMs solo lol. Personal experiences proove otherwise. Team wipes generally mean half the team is quitting. When I said buff I didn't mean like perma build up, I meant slight buffs, to ease the leveling.Also, please help me with not needing stamina lol. I play everything but stalkers and pretty much all of my toons need stamina II have discuessed this in-game with multiple people and it would appear that most of us need stamina, maybe not at lvl 50 when we IO out but at those important levels while leveling, i'd say it is a must have.

And yes, that was sarcasm. Once again, what is claimed on these forums and what goes on in the actual game bear little to no resemblance to each other. If they DID, everyone I saw without Fitness in-game wouldn't 1. have 2 ticks of END left at all times and 2. be continually begging for spare blues.
Next: Forumistas claim that their Dark/dark Brutes and Scrappers NEVER need Fitness and HAVE NEVER NEEDED IT. If yours do, UR DOIN IT WRONG. Once again..... riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiiiiight, I believe that. I sure do! You bet.
p.s. to Ares: I agree that an Ice/psi Dom is an unpleasant creature indeed; mine made it to level 18 and then was deleted in a fit of rage, mid-mission. Logged off in the middle of a mission and nuked her right then and there! that was how fun she was to play. WORST EVER

Virtue SUCKS and my only regret is that I can't go to Warburg and steal a nuke that I could deploy against the entire Virtue server. The entire population at the same time would get a mighty bout of screen-shake and then "YOU HAVE BEEN MAPSERVED!" as they got punted offline high, wide and handsome. Ah, what a sweet vision that is.

It's not just a case of "point it out and you notice it more" like specks on a windshield. It's pretty obviously a case of "the game is being advertised on Steam and made available in new markets - and advertising is WORKING".
So once more: if you're on Freedom and you cannot either figure out how to form your OWN team, or cannot understand how to send a tell to someone else that's got a team being put together... that's not the game's fault, and it's certainly not a 'server is vacant' issue.
