If you ALWAYS have to get stamina you should make your builds better. That simple. If I can get by without it, anybody can.
[/ QUOTE ]
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
And yes, that was sarcasm. Once again, what is claimed on these forums and what goes on in the actual game bear little to no resemblance to each other. If they DID, everyone I saw without Fitness in-game wouldn't 1. have 2 ticks of END left at all times and 2. be continually begging for spare blues.
Next: Forumistas claim that their Dark/dark Brutes and Scrappers NEVER need Fitness and HAVE NEVER NEEDED IT. If yours do, UR DOIN IT WRONG. Once again..... riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiiiiight, I believe that. I sure do! You bet.
p.s. to Ares: I agree that an Ice/psi Dom is an unpleasant creature indeed; mine made it to level 18 and then was deleted in a fit of rage, mid-mission. Logged off in the middle of a mission and nuked her right then and there! that was how fun she was to play. WORST EVER
[/ QUOTE ] Think what you want, but you are wrong. The OP claimed they always have to take stamina. Always. When that simply is not the case. I think stamina is great and I take it on most of my characters. You can make a highly functional build without stamina. It's been done before by many many people. So if one person can do it(without set bonuses), then anybody can.
Now if you're looking to farm at a high level or solo AVs one could make the argument it is needed(I would). But to claim it is always needed is nonsense.

Challenge?! If they are looking for a challenge go play Halo or go fight GMs solo lol. Personal experiences proove otherwise. Team wipes generally mean half the team is quitting. When I said buff I didn't mean like perma build up, I meant slight buffs, to ease the leveling. Also, please help me with not needing stamina lol. I play everything but stalkers and pretty much all of my toons need stamina II have discuessed this in-game with multiple people and it would appear that most of us need stamina, maybe not at lvl 50 when we IO out but at those important levels while leveling, i'd say it is a must have.
[/ QUOTE ] To go without stamina you generally have to make sacrifices elsewhere. Instead of sticking a recharge enhancement into your fifth slot on an attack put in and end reducer. Accuracy is also important, because a missed attacked it wasted endurance.
At the lower levels be selective about when you use your toggles. If you're fighting an enemy that does smashing/lethal damage then turn off your shield for energy/neg resist.
Now by not taking stamina(and in return getting other powers), you probably won't be as effecient for a while. Which, IMO, is just a matter of what's more important to you. Taking other powers, or better endurance management.
The other thing I'm a fan of is cheap frankenslotting. You can get much better than one SOs worth of endurance reduction if you use a mix of various IO sets, and it doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg in influence/infamy. Sets like Thunderstrike are good for this. Buy the two cheapest you can find and put them in the same power and you have an additional 2% recovery. If you use the other three or four slots with other cheap IOs you can easily have your power slotted much better than SOs or common IOs could ever manage.
If you shop smart, you can frankenslot a build for less than 50 million. But that will require patience and planning. Mid's is a great tool for this.

Yes. In fact, the entire Forum Cartel has made it their goal to drive you from the game by contradicting everything you say on the forums. And also cutting your brake lines.

Just beware of the side effects.
* All of your posts suddenly have an "agenda" and nothing you say can be considered as-is. You always have a hidden meaning or a secret reason for you saying such a thing. Once you hit cartel status it's impossible to simply contribute to a conversation because from that point on you're secretly working to further your agenda.
* You're with the rest of the cartel, meaning you always agree with us no matter what. Even when you don't agree with us, those posts are considered non-canon and are ignored/avoided/unmentioned. When you do agree with us, though, it's pointed out that "you're just agreeing with the other cartel members." In the case of disagreeing with Arcanaville, you're actually just being a devil's advocate and helping Arc's power grow.
* You become in charge of the devs. Any questions, comments, or complaints made by "regular" users are ignored because the devs are tripping over themselves and eachother to find OUR posts so they can do what WE say they should be doing. This also applies to to things like Dev Choice and "getting into beta" and whatever else suits the argument at the time.
These are all just bonuses for having X number of posts, of course!

The cut-and-paste codes are like repeating an outside entity's name... Keep copying them. You'll see what breaks through shortly. And I'll have unlimited power!

After all, the canon argument is that no one needs Stamina; one of the real thigh-slappers I remember was that people who picked up Fitness are "greedy."
And even if you can think up a build, how does that address all the others that cannot move three steps in any direction without it? Rhetorical question only, there.

If you actually read the post before once again blindly typing like and idiot you would have noticed that I began the discussion asking for someone to suggest another server before being met with "it's just you" "wait all you wanna do is farm?" Yeah, I take the defensive approach when people start to insult me. Sorry that I just don't sit like an idiot because a bunch of vets that want the game to be "THIS WAY" and never "THAT WAY" tell me that i'm playing a friggin game the wrong way. Sure, you 'legends' and 'forum cartel' are the majority here on the forum. You guys tend to move away from the subject, insult the OP, and blindly agree with one another based on the shear fact that you are used to one another. But go ahead, keep it coming.
As for my friend that thinks stamina is unecessary...ever PvP, ever Farm, ever actually help your team do stuff? Give me a break dude. For a decent steady amount of damage/heals/buffs/debuffs at least at those levels from 22-40 you will need stamina, and maybe IOs will help after that but def not for my play style.

As if any of you even understand what is being said here. I said I couldn't find a team on one specific occasion and that it is harder to find a team than it was four months ago which is the ENTIRE point of this post. Was on one yesterday, and the day before. You all act as if I said IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND A TEAM!!!! Guess I must've been typing in Spanish again.
Ares, there's a very good bit of advice found in a book about writing professionally, and I think that it applies to pretty much everything online:
"If one person gives a disparaging remark, it's their opinion. If 10 people do so, it might be time to look into their complaints."
So far you've seen plenty of ways that other people have directly found teams, and direct evidence that there ARE people playing, teaming, and doing the typical things that we all do in this game. The fact that you're "not" finding them, seems to be because you aren't doing those things.
** Get on a global chat channel that actually has people on it. Not one that your friends might have been on at one point but they don't play any more.
** Get in a supergroup that has people on it all the time. Not a big deal to find one on Freedom, I would expect.
** Search your server's forum threads about teaming, task forces/strike forces, groups, and events.
** Arrange pvp in your forum threads in the time and zone you're most likely to be on. By making the first move, people will follow YOU. By waiting, you're going to be twiddling your thumbs for a long time.
Standing around for 20 minutes yelling 'lft!' isn't going to cut it. Being polite and asking people first before sending a blind invite is good. Being *respectful* of people who "don't pug" is nice too, you don't need to assume that they're being snarky or having their noses stuck in the air at you, they *don't like teaming*. Move on. There are plenty of people playing.
So yeah, so far, it's been 'you' here, and no fault of the game or anyone playing on it. People are back to playing in different zones - gosh that's why there are so MANY zones... Because there's content in them. AE farming is gimped now, good. That means that the AE will be used for it's intended purpose of having people write great stories and entertain themselves with it, instead of merely rocketing through the levels. Pvp? Has long been considered a joke in this game, and pretty much everywhere on all servers pvp is way down from what it had been, especially with the 'nerfs' encouraging other folks like myself to head into the zones or participate on a more fair basis. Redside has *always* been more empty than blue. I don't know what time of day you're trying to play, but some hours are just less busy than others.
All of those things, you can easily change by creating a hero - or waiting for the GR update, that may change the dynamics a LOT.
But waiting for things to happen for you, not gonna work. Go down to the forum area and start something up yourself. You may be surprised at how many people are interested, even if it might take some time and effort to get rolling. Hell if we can do it on Protector, you can do it on Freedom.

... and then tried being disparaging when someone *cough* went on the exact same server, within minutes of your post, and found plenty of folks willing and waiting to team. Were it not against (or at least very grey in) the forum rules, I'd have happily posted the character names of those people so you could /tell them and ask to team.
I saw no lack of "LFT" broadcasts, as well, in Cap as I went about my business either. Again, jumping from Marshall Brass to the PVP zone liason to do the talk to mission and back, I saw enough unique (as in non repeated) LFT broadcasts to have formed a near-full team if I'd so chosen to.
What your issue is, opportunity for snarky remark about that aside, I couldn't say.
[ QUOTE ]
Here we go with the unintelligent insults. Your very first reply to this thread is an insult...Thank You for proving my point.
[/ QUOTE ]
If you come to the forums looking to be insulted, you will be insulted, most often inadvertently by people who didn't have that in mind at all. If you take the stance that everyone is mean and nasty and nothing ever gets done, you're going to aggravate people with otherwise noble intentions and not win yourself any friends. It's what's known as a self-fulfilling prophecy - accuse the community of enough wrongdoing and even people who weren't even going to post will come down on you. And they would be right to.
One has to remember that, on an online forum, a big ego is nothing more than one giant Achilles' heel. If you blow up every time something irks you or somebody rubs you the wrong way, you'll never get anything constructive accomplished. Post what you feel, stay constructive, ignore those who insult you and make use of the "Report" button.
No-one can hurt you over the 'net (and few and nuts enough to come hunt you in person), so there's really no reason to get into drawn-out fights. The worst thing that can happen is for you to drown your own thread in endless squabbles and derail to unrecoverably, and that would be your own fault. The worst other people can do is drop a snarky one-liner and move on, which should, in theory at least, make no difference to anyone whatsoever.
It always bugs me when people start complaining about how nasty the forums have always been (even if they HAVE been nasty as of late) when, for the most part, it's the result of THEM getting into fights. Here no-one can touch you or confront you unless you get into a fight, and what few tools there ARE to harass you are all petitionable.
