Yeah. I took your advice and I realized that Forbin_Project and Zekiran_Immortal didn't intentionally insult me. Zek did take a rather condescending tone with me which must have set me off. Also the whole bit on my being too lazy to find a team was just annoying when I simply asked for suggestions. All the same, sorry to the two of them for flipping out.

Ok, let's take this ball and run with it. What build is "highly functional" without Stamina? On what AT? And don't say regen; tell us something new. After all, the canon argument is that no one needs Stamina; one of the real thigh-slappers I remember was that people who picked up Fitness are "greedy."
And even if you can think up a build, how does that address all the others that cannot move three steps in any direction without it? Rhetorical question only, there.

Oddly enough I've been trying to build a Stone/Stone Tanker, a Stone/Stone Brute and a Spine/Dark Scrapper, and even loaded down with End Redux, forgoing recharge in favor of MORE End Redux, and having Stamina 3 slotted; those three sets are STILL having end issues, and that WITH a fair amount of Recovery set bonuses.
I'm still curious if someone could build a Stone/Stone Brute that can fight continuously or a Spine/Dark scrapper that can keep their AoE toggles running, because I can't do that even with Stamina. I'd love to see some builds posted that can do it, because I need the help.

Late to the party, but yesterday I signed back on to CoH after a break of over a year. Loaded up a lvl 32 Stone/Stone tanker (not the most fun to solo, but pretty hard to kill so great for re-learning the controls and whatnot).
Got 3 unsolicited invites in the hour that I played. (1-2pm EST Sunday, Freedom server)
I'm not saying there aren't times it's slow, but Freedom is a pretty darn busy server.
I appreciate your attempt at a clean slate.
I suggest investigating your server's Forum. I personally don't go down that way, because I have no desire to involve myself with that section, but I hear it can be a wealth of information pertaining to each server. Those sections are usually filled with people who call that server "home", and tend to be interested in the community it provides.
Therefore, your best chance at meeting people, finding the proper channels, and even finding a new Super Group (as I heard your current one is now empty from time).
King_Ares, I can't really help you much with channels since I don't use any myself. But the Freedom Forums are a good place to start. Tonight we are doing an ITF. You can sign up(or just show up) in the thread. So far we have enough for 3 and a half teams. It won't solve your teaming issues, but it may give you a chance to meet some new people.
Taking any advice I might have posted would be the best apology I could ask for, and likely the only one I need to accept. Do try. We're not trying to lead you astray - we really do mean to help you out, so by putting up a hissy fit, ignoring us, showing off you're ignoring anyone who says otherwise etc etc etc - those things are why there was so much heat. Not because we were trying to slam you. Next time you have a question or suggestion, understand that there will be disagreement to your ideas/opinions and you should be prepared to back your assertions or ideas up instead of blocking out anyone else's thoughts.
And your saying, "what other people think" ... well, that's all very fine and good *until they post it on the forums where everyone can read them*. Keep that in mind too.

I'll be happy to start over with a clean slate since I am far from what could ever be considered a "perfect poster". My own mistakes are many. Everyone stumbles once in a while.
I'm glad to see you apologized for that crack, as it was very much out of line. Everything else you said kind of pales next to that, though you insulted several other people whose only provocation was disagreeing with you and providing you with information. If someone implies (or outright states) that you're wrong, then reply back with the facts that show you're right - and consider that possibility that you may in fact be wrong. Referring to your own ideas as "brilliant" also comes off a touch egotistical.
I'd also suggest you really take a long look at the difference between posts which disagree with you and posts which are attacking you - several times in this thread you've mistaken the former for the latter and gone on the attack, which just causes things to degenerate.
