I've been very quiet on the PVP front because I rarely PVP. This doesn't mean I don't fully understand your frustration. A few major base changes (the removal of base salvage for instance) were not even given the option of being tested. So I fully sympathize with you. However both the PVP changes and the Base changes were a part of the patch notes before Issue 13 was released.

There is a entire server that is messed up and near unplayable at points and all some of you can do is cry about a digital shiney?

I still cant believe they decided to roll out a patch a day before one of the biggest gaming days for this MMO. What a boneheaded move.

Then we get a post saying that it "should" be fxed when the servers go down. Give me a break.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that was seeing the flashing multiples of the dayjob icons. There seemed to be no rhyme nor reason to them popping up. I logged into City Hall and was just standing there chatting, and they came and went, willy nilly. O.o

Not everyone plays on Virtue. I play on Victory which is where I noticed the day jobs bug.

We are aware internally of the badgers concerns over the removal of this badge. However at this time the Developers are choosing to not comment. I'll keep you updated if I hear of any change in that determination.

I am begining to see the complaint of "they never tell us anything" starting up again. I can only hope it will be explained within the year, because if it's not it will be very irritating for those of us who have been badgers for quite some time and didn't think, "oh I should go finish this badge before it gets removed."

I suppose the moral of this story is if you are a badger, get your badges as soon as possible, you never know when the devs will remove stuff wihtout explaination.

Good news is, MAYBE maybe they are making it unavailable for some awesome reason, like one of the new storylines is about rogue Longbow. Or internal dispute between good guy groups like the Vanguard and the Longbow. Or maybe, MAYBE maybe this is the begining of their plans to create the long desired ability to make good guys go evil and bad guys turn good!!!!!!!!!! (I can only hope and dream, I can't change the world.)

well, bases are still having problems in relation to the "fixes"

1. 9 items will NOT attach to the AES at this time (I have bugged this)

2. Now instead of my wall items stuck in the floors, I can NOT bring items below a certain height on the wall now. (have not bugged this yet)

I am hoping this is being looked into already, but if not it really needs to be. Now I know bases are not as important to some people as they are to others, but I do think everyone who pays to play the game should have an equal chance to enjoy whatever asspect of the game it is they enjoy. Bases cater to a large community on all servers, we work hard at what we do, so I think we deserve as much attention as anyone else who say PvPs, or someone who is into fashion and spends their day creating incredible costumes. I hope there is a better fix in the works . . . .

I reported as a bug and petitioned the following as well:

Last night I stumbled across base to brainstorm conversions and brainstorm to invention conversions were not counting towards my crafting badges (Artisan, Master Artisan, etc.). No news there.

But what also happened was my villain who had done all that brainstorm work didn't get credit for 12 enhancements he crafted from his memorized list. I popped over to a hero on another server and crafted one enhancement from his memorized list which also didn't give him credit.

This afternoon the hero has his count increased by 1 but the villain's count remains where it was before I did my crafting last night. So while the hero may have been a lag issue, the villain remains a mystery.

Perhaps because he had done brainstorm conversions and the hero hadn't?

After this latest patch and rexpieriencing pvp without DR and Supression cements me even more in my view that i13 pvp needs to be rolled back. It was beautiful last night I killed a RAD with a Broad sword REGEN!!!! 3-0!!

The new options for arena is a step in the right direction and after pvping without either Dr or travel sup I can see how close you guys were to make the system better.

First off if you get rid of DR completly or to the extent the arena option currently allows same with travel SUP your left with a viable PvP game that just needs some tweaks.

First tweak is Critical resist. This needs to be removed as well this was a balancing factor for many power sets and with the inclusion of global PvP resists really gimps toons. Criticals need to be a unresited damage type.

Global PvP zone Resists all in all some good stuff here if you remove the DR/travel supression from it. Now after fighting two controllers last night and a deffender and a tank I have this to say. The global res should stay for PvP possibly even bring to PvE BUT the res numbers themselves need to be changed the squishies res numbers are much to high and when coupled with set bonuses and the one shield toggle allowed to them via epics its ungodly WITH OR WITHOUT DR.

Reducing the global resist for squishies from the 40% to 20% would actually only slightly lower they're survivability from the current DR performance seeing as DR reduces that res to 28% so they would actually only loose 8% res from this but regain it via unsupressed shield toggles and set bonuses.

Holds and status effects. These power need to be boosted and a min cap on how long a person is effected put into place along with a maximum cap. After discussing this with some controller sg mates I feel that any mez type power should have at least a 3 second duration no matter the mez resist of the player. But should also only last for no more then 8-10 seconds on a player. These time limits would be a boon to any mes user as it would be significant enough to allow them to heal/buff or focus their damage on the player without them blinking out of the mez.( this would also help certain melee sets as well with almost non existant stuns/holds)

On a personal note I still feel that the addition of secondary PvP only effects to certian powers in all power sets for all archetypes would be a great boon to further improve the game and help balance the types against each other. These effect for the most part would be minor more to help then anything with 2-4 sec durations depending on the type of effect. These would be unresistable effects but unstackable by themselves such as finding one power in all smash/lethal attack set to give a 3 sec 15% -res to theyre damage type only this would stack only with other power not with it's self it would allow for roughly one big attack to hit at a higher slightly unresisted rate. This would help balance the lethal/smash ROFLWTF issues. Or again finding a power to attach a 2-3 sec immob or movement speed decrease would also help with the runaway mentality and the ROFLMELEE issues. The goal is to help to give small chances for a bonus hit that could get you the kill or give you a chance to run away or heal nothing more.

We are currently investigating this issue. It does look like a patch note was missed in regards to brainstorm ideas not translating to badge counts. We are looking further at whether the overall badges have been affected by this change.

I am seeing the same thing with this patch, and be observing global chat on Virtue, seems everyone is still have a lot of problems with lag - which is going to pretty much make Double-XP weekend unplayable for many people.

One thing to add to that list was the unusually high level of disconnects happening. 4 hours of play time, 11 teams, over 60 disconnects with various people. Typing the /sync helped some times, but mostly people got the mapserve and drop.

Also, if someone with a bit more technical experience wants to check, I think there is a memory leak introduced. I noticed it with the missions that COH took up my full 8gigs of memory then would crash. This has not happend before ever, and the only change on my machine was the latest patch. When I get online tonight, I will upload a DXDIAG into Support forum.

Wait, what?

Ok guys, I normally stick up for you when people get upset about bugs in new issues and patches. I maintain servers for a living, and I also develop software, so I know that these things take time to track down and get fixed, and sometimes issues crop up when it goes live that didn't happen during test.

This isn't one of them. Seriously, does anyone even read the training room boards? Lately it seems like a large portion of the problems brought up there end up going live without being fixed. Not little things that we can live with, but issues that adversely affect a large segment of the player base, or make you look bad when you have to tell people to ignore the problem.

Why is it that when the patch went live, it was (at least) two incremental builds ahead of what's on test? Whatever changed in those somehow caused things that were fixed on test to regress, not to mention new and exciting bugs popping up. Bugs in things that were thoroughly tested and found to not be a problem.

Seriously, what's the point of a test server if what's been tested isn't actually what goes live? I know you have an internal test and QA department, but they can't possibly replicate the conditions of actual gameplay from around the globe, and all the edge and corner cases that it can expose.

Anyway, I feel better now that I've had my mini-rant. Just please try to remember that a lot of the people who are being critical love this game and only complain because they care about it. It's frustrating when bad things happen that should be preventable.

It's not a huge leap in logic to assume that.

What's with beating up on badgers? They are typically people that play every aspect of the game to the point of occassional monotony. I'm not sure why they'd want to push that portion of the community away.
