I also saw the issues with bane mace ranged attacks after the patch. I /bugged it in game.

So let's see, the bruiser KB->KD didn't actually get changed.
The base items didn't actually get set to accept 9 blah blah blah.
The introduction of more lag, crashes, etc.

Did *anything* get actually fixed or changed this patch? Other than heroes getting locked out of a badge, we got what, chat colors? I have to watch half my /tells come in empty, wondering who sent them, but... we got chat colors?

Somebody tell me if the AR blasters got their changes, or if those are broken too, 'cause without that, this patch looks like it's hittin' negative numbers. No fixes or benefits, and introduced more broke stuff.

After noticing the Bruiser non-changes, I went to test my AR Blaster, and happily, those changes at least are good to go.

Oh, and a future note regarding the tell bugs: you might not be able to use the delete key to auto-fill the name to reply to, but you could type "/r Broken tell" and it will shoot back a tell saying "Broken tell" to whomever send you the tell.

Being told after the fact, with a two month delay is not exactly being forthcoming with the information. It is more trying to cover their collective backsides.

I feel the same about the posts telling telling people to "get over it" when players have a legitimate complaint.

Being told two months after the fact means that for the last two months I've been working on this badge... and this explains why I did not get it.

I can call in that Longbow mission now.

Compared to the blowup of I-13 PvP changes and the massive exodus from my global friends list, this isn't bad, but it still ranks as rank, that is, it stinks.

To those upset by the inability to get that badge,(and judging by the number of posts about it seems to be quite alot)

Imagine if the devs did that to say 60% of your badges. And told you it was not gonna change because you didnt test it enough to get the proper datamining.

Now that you got that image in your head,,,,,,,,,,,,this is the exact same feeling that all the pvp people felt when I13 was dropped in our laps. Enjoy

I've noticed now after the patch, if I log in with any character (hero or villain), sometimes I'll get anywhere from 3-12+ day job icons when I'm standing still, flying around or doing whatever. As soon as they appear they go away (unless I'm at a day job location then that one stays).

Just thought it was weird....

If true...that's freaking outrageous. It really is. It's particularly egregious because in the loss of base salvage, one of the key ways of getting master artisan was converting invention salvage to components.

This needs to be confirmed, or denied, and if confirmed, "the developers have decided not to comment on this" will not be even remotely acceptable.

I just turned over 200 pieces of base salvage into Brain Storms, then into common salvage, and am exactly where I was on the crafting meter... Hence my post.

He is correct, converting Base Salvage to Brainstorms and Brainstorms to Invention Salvage [u]no longer counts[u] towards crafting badges like Artisan, etc.

I just confirmed it as well. I'm going to hope that this is a bug. If they're going to claim that either it was a bug that converting got you progress, or it was an exploit (which is why no patch note), the days of flat out lying to the players is back. And that's not a good thing.

Tried out the AR changes today. They are nice but I am still underwhelmed with the set. It was fun when it was shiny but has not had the staying power of other sets that I still enjoy playing.

Really curious about Ignite's change. I used it a lot but I can't see how it was overpowered. Such a small area, the redraw, the FEAR, DoT damage.....in good teams it was lucky to get off a few tics. Solowise, I used Web Grenade and a lot of corners but that type of gameplay got stale real quick and imo was really not that quick at defeating foes. <shrug at the new recharge> Makes me wonder if someone figured out a way to use it that 98% of the other players did not know about. Maybe I will team better with the quicker animations, something I have not tested yet, but was frustrated when other blasters/scrappers defeated more mobs than me due to my redraw/animation time.

There's a real possibility that it's a bug, or that it was a side effect of fixing some crafting exploit that allows you to craft without using anything (I don't know of any, but it's possible one is there somewhere). So I will be awaiting an official statement tomorrow about whether this is intended or not.

Well, the badge text does say "Create X Inventions to earn this badge", so I suspect it was indeed an unintended way to earn the badge.... Also, crafting empowerment buffs no longer count either.

It doesn't really bug me that they changed it, but I hate when there are changes without patch notes.

Tested: Empowerment buffs [u]do still count[u] for the crafting badges.

So there is some inconsistency here.

It bugs me, because if the option to get crafting badges from converting base salvage wasn't said by a red name, it was definitely said in threads they were active without a hint of "well, that's not supposed to be allowed" (and I have a memory of red names pointing it out as a silver lining...but I don't have proof of that).

And more...Base editors objected to the hassle involved in the removal of base salvage, by action and word the message from the devs was "We don't care what you want, suck it up, it's coming through." PVPers were VERY unhappy with the changes, and while it was later withdrawn, a redname did say "We know it's not what the players want but we don't care, suck it up, it's coming through." A lot of concerns about the way merits were handled, "We don't care what you want, suck it up, it's coming through." Then little things like the reformed badge (where the devs "don't choose to speak to us about it") and, if this is not a bug, this (which is a lot bigger than reformed because it makes the long boring slog to getting a field crafter longer and more boring, it has a real impact).

And yeah, I get the feel of Jack and Geko again. They were pretty big on the "Look, it doesn't matter what you want, we know what should be in the game and it's coming through." For the most part, the new team is making better decisions about what they're shoving through, but what we were told of the game now being about "giving the players what they want within reason" seems to be "inoperative".

I'd love to see things coming up to prove me wrong. But between the developers thinking that there was no need to explain a badge change that annoyed a lot of players, and now this...I'm not happy.

i recieved a message stating that i would not recieve pact exp due to technical errors... the message did not say anything about compensation for the issue will we be recieving any if and when the problem is dealt with?

A further confirmation that day job icons seemingly appear out of no where. I had 12 stacked and two extra at one point while I was no where near a day job site, but I couldn't click fast enough to see what they were. I DID notice that even though my team of four villains on Sharkhead were scattered all over the map we would all receive the same number of day job icons next to our names, so it seems to be a 'zone event' sort of bug.

I've been very quiet on the PVP front because I rarely PVP. This doesn't mean I don't fully understand your frustration. A few major base changes (the removal of base salvage for instance) were not even given the option of being tested. So I fully sympathize with you. However both the PVP changes and the Base changes were a part of the patch notes before Issue 13 was released.
