I have to commend everyone for all the fighting they are doing for this game, I think all the emotions and pure stubborness to let this game, dev team, and community die is a testament to the greatness we collectively represent.
However I have one more suggestion for those still wishing to fight and ready to do so, as I have said else where I feel convincing another company to purchase the game would be the best bet for it's survival in some form. For those who have pushed for the petitions and letter writting campains might I suggest you also focus effort for this cause? Two developers come to my mind as good focal points for letters and petitions to try to convince them to purchase our game, Turbine and Epic games.
Turbine due to the fact they are an mmo company and are familiar with F2P games and might be intrested already.
and Epic due to the generosity of Cliffy B and the others there, who bailed 38 studios dev team out of trouble. Just my suggestion and I hope more are willing to push for it. -
Btw is there any chance for a broadsword version of Excalibur? or more swords in general of the barbarian and excalibur's design? Black night swords are awesome but are kinda thick for me. Though I still want them lol

Now you told me that the costume piece had to pass a certain amount of criteria to be allowed for player use, and I let it go especially after some one else claimed they got an official word on it and the chest detail was clipping to much on the player and wasn't scaling right. Not trying to say what you told me wasn't acceptable but the two comments meshed well enough to form a valid point.
However, a thought occured to me as I was fiddling around with the costume editor and this is where we get to the meat of the email. Would it be possible to sepperate the collar and back portion of the Chest detail and create it as a back pack option? I got the idea from the elemental order "back pack", basically we already have two frontal chest detail's for the IDF would it be possible and aleviate some of the scaling/ clipping issues(if any) if the back armor was implemented this way?

Basicly the qeustion is would this be a viable option? And if so could it be applied to other chest details that were made more for npc's then the player model? Such as the vanguard back option that techbot has been wanting for ages? -
Hero 1 as stated used excalibur he is a decendant of the pendragons(by blood or by spirit) Excalibur it's self is essentially an incarnate level artifact and depending on it's wielder changes size and shape.
Hero 1 is exceptionaly powerful in combat hand to hand and with a weapon so it makes sense he uses a on handed broad sword version of the blade freeing a second hand for metric F*tons of damage with a free hand.
Miss lib can't use the blade so it would make sense that it is a tiny thing put out of the way, I also belive however that the scabbard protects her.
pendragon even before claiming the sword used only titan weapons and some magical dark blast attacks hence why excalibur became a titan weapon for him.
How I see it from the story arcs and all the lore I could find out about the two characters our version of hero 1 could handily whoop the crap out of pendragon (possibly even tyrant) without excalibur if he wasn't bat poo crazy from the rikti mind ****. And with excalibur practilly nothing could stop him hence the extreme urge to keep the blade the hell away from him currently. -

Ok so this is a direct copy from a post I made in the closed beta, before anyone tries jumping in and claims "working as intended" Black scorpion and Synapse confirmed this as a bug and it should have been fixed in a patch. However it wasn't and the issue went live, which is understandable considering all the work they were doing at the tie however I am reposting here to jog their memories incase they forgot.
Heres the original post.
"Found another bug (i hope) Was testing the changes to regen with my lvl 50 and noticed that my regen values were much lower then on live. It appears that the Radial Rebirth Epiphany is not being affected by the alpha slot power as it currently is on live.
The power on live with the spiritual alpha grants regen bonuses of:
1330 for 10s
266 for 30s
266 for 1m
266 for 2m
On beta the description of the power still reflects those numbers however upon usage of the power it only grants the following regen bonuses
1000 for 10s
200 for 30s
200 for 1m
200 for 2m
So in essence on live and until the latest patch(from what I can tell) Rebirth has been effected by the spiritual health and regen bonuses. And as stated when you check the detailed info of the power it still shows that it's being effected, however upon being used the power does not boost as it says it should. This can be verified with real numbers as well as the icon the power applies to your character upon usage.
To me this is a fairly big deal as on live Rebirth puts me at 301 regen when clicked and on CB it only puts me at 179 regen. Theres kind of a large gap there >.<"
Here hoping that a fix is on the way and the issue wasn't forgotten. -
congrats man been here since hero prebeta(oh the days of the forums then rp threads everywhere) and have only leveled 3 to 50 one which I deleted and remade a stalker when rogue came out and have only been playing 1 of them for most of that time. Love my bs/regen scrap with a passion

Zone PvP nothing
Arena PvP- Nothing aside for the match customization options.
To be honest when the changes where on test I did a huge post about the changes and showed the huge disparity between my hp regen out of PvP and within PvP zones. I felt then and still feel now that DR does nothing to bring "balance" to the PvP game nor does "heal decay". The changes really left me and several of my SG members who PvPed a lot jaded to the entire "new PvP" experience.
Honestly I don't know if it's possible to even bring PvP back in anyway outside of extreme changes to the system. I would suggest if PvP changes are being discussed and looked at that the dev in charge look at games who have extremely successful PvP games. Dark Age of Camelot is a readily available candidate for a look at, the only reason that game still exists is due to its realm versus realm PvP set up and how it rewards the people/guilds who take part in it.
I honestly felt old PvP had 3 true problems that many people had issue with and thats
1. Verbal abuse/F-tardEliteism
2. Risk versus Reward
3. No real goal or sense of accomplishment for PvPing
The changes in i13 did nothing to address any of these problems, however if we follow my thoughts of looking at games with thriving PvP systems/only still operating due to PvP systems. Again the easy one to use personally DAOC;
1. Verbal abuse/F-tardEliteism- They made the opposing factions unable to chat in game when in PvP zones at least in public channels, and changed the character name that the opposing players saw to some realm specific title.
Did this stop it completely? No, the harassment was taken out on forums IF both parties used the forums however; in game for the most part yes the abuse was kept to an acceptable minimum so that non forumites usually never had to worry about verbal back lash from those they killed or killed them.
2. Risk Versus Reward- They instituted several systems to make PvPing highly rewarding for not only the individual but also for their "guild" and their realm as a whole.
They began with the realm rank system that added "levels" to characters allowing them to purchase realm abilities to further advance and specialize their characters that not only affected PVP but also PVE allowing for further customization.
They instituted a bounty point system for defeating enemies that allowed individuals to purchase top end gear and other useful items however; it was also used to buy normal XP, master level credit and XP, Encounter credit, Artifacts, and much more.
They added Relics, keeps, and towers to their PVP zones that granted stat bonuses to the realm/guild that controlled them.
Did this address the risk versus reward problem? Yes, very much so for any people the changes and bonuses of RVR made event the most ardent "I hate PvP in my MMO" people come out and embrace the system.
3. No real goal or sense of accomplishment for PvPing- With all the above rewards for PvPing you would think that would be enough however it wasn't. Aside from guilds just wanting to own a keep PvPing for control of these local served many purposes the immediate was a sense of pride of your group capturing and claiming it however; they also granted stat bonuses to your entire realm on top of added keep claiming bonuses to your entire guild. Furthermore the realm with the most claimed keeps also gained access to a dungeon zone that had much higher XP rates and money drop bonuses within it making it sought after and providing a material bonus for PVEers and PvPers.
Did this address the problem? Yes it gave people a goal to unlock the dungeon or to gain more power for themselves or their realm or their guild.
Honestly a lot of what's in DAOC or WarHammer or other successful PVP games is already somewhat in COH but on a much smaller scale.
A bounty point system is already in place in Sirens Call the problem with it is it disappears when you leave the zone and its only featured in that one zone. If this was changed to a true PvP currency that transcended all PvP zones, outside of the arena, and allowed people to purchase HIGHLY USEFUL things IE incarnate salvage/xp, PVP IO Recipes, Large Inspirations, Useful Temp Powers, XP/Prestige/Influence or moderate duration bonuses for earning the three. That would go a long way to helping PVP in the Risk/Reward stand point.
Capture targets, DAOC had keeps, COH has pill boxes. Problem with the system it is in only one zone, aside from badge credit and a "zone" goal has no real use. However if you expanded on the concept and turn the pill boxes into military bases that you have to fight your way externally into and through an internal building to a power core/operations bunker to capture for your side. Add some classic Item of power like bonuses for the Super group/villain group who claims the base and maybe access either a new zone/ or mission with enhanced rewards for the side with the most bases captured. Sgs/vgs could then use their prestige to upgrade/upkeep the base to make defending it easier.
This would accomplish several things, not only adding a goal to PVP for everyone but also adding something that sg's and vg's can blow their prestige on outside of base rent and stacking. You could include communication towers so that smaller Sg's and Vg's could participate in this activity as well. You could also add different things to the base capturing/defending to make AT specific roles more interesting. An example would be a secret access tunnel for stalkers to infiltrate the base through or something.
As far as harassment goes the easiest way to deal with it is to disable cross side communication disallow villains/heroes from speaking to each other within a PvP zone would it solves the issue no entirely but it would force the harasser to be more aggressive in getting his harassment noticed making it easier to /report them and get them dealt with by gms.
But even if changes such as this were to be made the issue's caused by DR and i13 PvP need to be addressed. When it comes down to a battle of "balance" and you compare someone like me who has spent billions on min/maxing my character fine tuning him into exactly what I want from my character and someone who refuses to put anything but level 53 SO's in their character no one is going to win.
It is unfair to me that my character gets neutered just so Captain SO over there can compete, and to be honest its unfair to him that you believe he SHOULD be able to compete. The best thing you can do in that situation is make it easier for the SO bandit over there to be able to IO, fine tune, min/max, or whatever you want to call it. And if after making it easier for him to attain the power level that I busted my hump to get and he still wont do it, then o well thats his choice and he will have accept that the billion influence IO babies will have NUMERICALLY stronger characters.
Sorry for the rant but I've honestly been waiting a long time to get all that off my chest and out of my head. Anyways just my 2 cents on the whole thing

Overall I think the Pack is well done; however I think the wolf head on the huge model is fairly small and it's size needs to be increased/scaled better for the Huge body model the head seems very small in comparison.

Broad sword: I would like to see some two handed strikes and just over all redone animations with the blade.
Hack - A quick two handed over head strike
Slash- A quick single hand diagonal strike starting from the lower left and ending at the upper right
Slice- A two handed sweep from right to left
Parry- An actual parry with the flat of the blade, with a quick strike (would actually like to see a kick or punch while parrying to be slightly more realistic)
Confront-MEH get rid of it and give me another attack power >;p
Build up- ????
Whirling sword- A ground based spin starting with a two hand over the left shoulder swing that follows the momentum of the blade from the upper left corner diagonal strike spinning around 360 and ending with a lower left hand corner diagonal strike with the blade coming to a rest on the upper right
Disembowel- A two handed horizontal strike across the midsection from right to left followed by a semi diagonal two handed upward swing from lower left to upper right corner
Head splitter- a MASSIVE two handed behind the back over head strike straight down.
Oh yeah and we still need an impervium Sword >;p

The storyline of my character already says he is an incarnate of Fenris so it will be very awesome to make it official if possible. Which I do hope they will broaden their view away from just greek/roman myth and encompass a broader range.(at least to include norse >;p) -
To be honest the Desert Eagle is actually a fine weapon. And can also be easily modified to fire as a .357, .45, and the all impresive .50AE.
While not old enough to have fought in desert storm I come from a long military line namely Marines. And two of my much older cousins did fight in Desert storm and used the Desert Eagle during that time.
If I remember what they told me correctly the Desert eagle was designed to not only punch through armor but also to withstand conditions such as the desert. Which is aslo why its a pain in the *** to clean for first timers or people who are used to much easier guns to clean as it was made to keep dirt, sand, and other things out of the gun in the first place.
I own 2 myself one was my cousins which has never been fired since he gave it to me. The other is a newer model my step grandfather bought for me when I was 16 which became my side arm of choice when we went hunting. I also have a barrel extension mod along with a stock modification for it. The gun is amazing and at least in my hands highly accurate though you really dont have to be with the size of the round >;p http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desert_Eagle
If you feel the gun is to much power for you but like the design and quality I would then sugggest the (baby eagle) Jericho 941 which uses a similiar design concept and sticks to the high amount of barrel mods allowing for 9mm, .41AE to be fired. just want to point out you can get BU down past 30 seconds.
But honestly all the arguements are flawed simply cause slotting is up to the person and its only wrong if that person isn't getting what they want from the power.
As some one who has had it slotted in both a toggle and a click and now has it removed from my build I have to say from my view point it was a waste of a slot either way. But many people swear by it and its thier right to do so. Its what ever YOU want from your build.
The best person/place to ask advice about your build or procs your intrested in is some one you trust from your play group rather then the forums. The only thing reliable about asking questions here is that it will start a pointless arguement and/or start a whos got a bigger EPEEN contest.
If you dont know anyone you can talk to then the best thing you can do is copy over to test server and try the proc out there for your self. I have a couple copies of my scrapper there so im bound to have the proc so i can give you for your testing. -
After this latest patch and rexpieriencing pvp without DR and Supression cements me even more in my view that i13 pvp needs to be rolled back. It was beautiful last night I killed a RAD with a Broad sword REGEN!!!! 3-0!!
The new options for arena is a step in the right direction and after pvping without either Dr or travel sup I can see how close you guys were to make the system better.
First off if you get rid of DR completly or to the extent the arena option currently allows same with travel SUP your left with a viable PvP game that just needs some tweaks.
First tweak is Critical resist. This needs to be removed as well this was a balancing factor for many power sets and with the inclusion of global PvP resists really gimps toons. Criticals need to be a unresited damage type.
Global PvP zone Resists all in all some good stuff here if you remove the DR/travel supression from it. Now after fighting two controllers last night and a deffender and a tank I have this to say. The global res should stay for PvP possibly even bring to PvE BUT the res numbers themselves need to be changed the squishies res numbers are much to high and when coupled with set bonuses and the one shield toggle allowed to them via epics its ungodly WITH OR WITHOUT DR.
Reducing the global resist for squishies from the 40% to 20% would actually only slightly lower they're survivability from the current DR performance seeing as DR reduces that res to 28% so they would actually only loose 8% res from this but regain it via unsupressed shield toggles and set bonuses.
Holds and status effects. These power need to be boosted and a min cap on how long a person is effected put into place along with a maximum cap. After discussing this with some controller sg mates I feel that any mez type power should have at least a 3 second duration no matter the mez resist of the player. But should also only last for no more then 8-10 seconds on a player. These time limits would be a boon to any mes user as it would be significant enough to allow them to heal/buff or focus their damage on the player without them blinking out of the mez.( this would also help certain melee sets as well with almost non existant stuns/holds)
On a personal note I still feel that the addition of secondary PvP only effects to certian powers in all power sets for all archetypes would be a great boon to further improve the game and help balance the types against each other. These effect for the most part would be minor more to help then anything with 2-4 sec durations depending on the type of effect. These would be unresistable effects but unstackable by themselves such as finding one power in all smash/lethal attack set to give a 3 sec 15% -res to theyre damage type only this would stack only with other power not with it's self it would allow for roughly one big attack to hit at a higher slightly unresisted rate. This would help balance the lethal/smash ROFLWTF issues. Or again finding a power to attach a 2-3 sec immob or movement speed decrease would also help with the runaway mentality and the ROFLMELEE issues. The goal is to help to give small chances for a bonus hit that could get you the kill or give you a chance to run away or heal nothing more. -

It could also be jormungdor from norse mythology which based on how its drawn and the fact dual swords is also in it, my guess is that issue 11 will have some norse touches to it.

I've moved out to Stockton Ca, to be with my fiance and to have a better chance as landing a job as a concept artist/storyboarder for a video game company. Been working on my own game since freshman year of high school untill now so........... 7 years now I want it to be the first title I do on my own after paying my dues to the industry by working as a peon >.<

You dont need yellows to hit through MoG just need tactics and FA, maybe build up if your not sloted for to hit buffs.
If anything pop geas and you hit through it and im sorry moggers but one crit and your dead.
Also nem units eat mog up cause of the stacked vengeance they're able to get I've seen it time and time again piss poor damage constantly getting through still means your dead its not negligable. If you want a better mog like experience hit Eye of the magus and go to town if your still in trouble pop one def and watch everyone go *swish swish swish*
you can get better powers and put the slots needed to make mog decent into something else for more versatility or better set bonuses -
Sorry for no update photos but I left my sketches and art supplies at my fiance's uncles house the other day, BUT I should have it back tomorrow!!
So I can show you the near completed werewolf forms and early sketch of Zantare the Vampire born brother who true heritage by soul is a werewolf like his other brothers. along with his bust shot (was working on all of this that day since I had time, so I could give you guys a huuuuuge update).
so thats three of the 6 brothers of the storyline and heros but after theyre done.... comes the three main baddies Larc the traitorous Vampire prince, Dracut the Demon lord and imbodiement of the destroyer, Prophet the Archangel, (He starts the war, traps the gods, and in the end tries to destroy the world all to become a god himself!) and the two opposing gods the brothers Fenris the all father, and Jormungdor the Destroyer. The whole back ground of the sketches and character is highly fantasy and uses many of the norse themes and is my take on the legend of Atlantis and the origin of the legends, myths, gods, and horrors that have filled our many different cultures.
Anyways I hope that piques your intrest some if it does and you want to know more about the characters the stories or anything like that leave a message and untill or even after I get my artwork back I'll be happy to give you some info.
