I don't think I'll ever be able to attend any sort of get together in real life because I'd wouldn't be able to decide whether to go as BAB the dev or as my main character and be able to hang out with friends/SG mates.

Have them install an old-fashioned phone booth outside and you can go as both! Just run in, close the door, immediately open it, and bam! - you're now someone you weren't just a moment ago.
Any pictures taken by any hidden cameras that will most certainly not be there will be for private uses only, so don't sweat it.
The problem would be people claiming his SG has an unfair advantage when others learn they have a dev on board.
I have complete faith none of our Devs would do anything like some other MMO where someone of power got busted for extreme favoritism, but you have people who will call foul just for the possiblity.

If you devs want it secret from sg mates in all cases, you should make it so your player accounts get the veteran rewards. Unless you already fixed that little loophole

We won't make him and Posi square off on tequila shots and we we're thinking of having a comic trivia later that night, and I need a solid partner to win.
Please allow Statesman, Positron, Castle, BackAlleyBrawler, Ghost Widow, War Witch, Poz, Pohsyb, SuperMartin, Visigoth, Archon Voss, Sexy Jay, Manticore, Arctic Sun and Lighthouse to come to Austin for the Meet n Greet.
Ex is coming for sure now, so we're all doing the happy dance and figuring out what kind of cake to take
I promise, promise we will all take care of Posi, but not smother him. We won't badger him about Regen or Suppression and I swear we will not try and convince him that if he wears the Arachnos cape after 5 rum and cokes, that he'll be able to fly if he stands up on the bar and jumps. Plus, we really do need to pick his brain about what comics he reads and if it's true that he has a 42" monitor at work.
I promise BillZ will take good care of BAB and Visigoth. He won't harass SuperMartin...I don't think.
I also promise that Arcanaville will not be outside Dave n Busters sitting in a black, unmarked van, waiting for Castle to come outside alone.

I can also assure you that EvilGeko will not have us all wired and then send a round of Irish Car Bombs to all the Developers in hopes that information on Issue 15 will be disclosed. Although I can't guarantee he won't try and get us to convince Voss to erect a giant statue of a Geko in Steel Canyon.
I will admit that we did plan on setting LiquidX and Kali up on live webcams and rolling them around on pedestals with Abraham Lincoln heads, but they really want to be there.
We all want to see who Ghost Widow is and thank them for keeping us updated on the Flier. (It is working...right? o.O)
I have personally challenged Poz to a round of DDR, so he has to show up.

And Jay. I mean, do we REALLY need to explain why it is pertinent that he be in Austin? If he comes, I will make it my mission to see to it that Ultimus dresses up like Vandal and sends us pictures to show Jay. Plus, think about it, what kind of awesome ideas for costumes won't he think of when we're holding him upside down and making him drink Jaeger?
Arctic has to be there because he has the best stories ever and someone has to protect us from Lighthouse and his Terminator eye. His Terminator eye is also the reason we demand he be there, I want to see this thing for myself.
And of course, no matter what it takes, bribe Cuppa to come out and meet us
*deep breath*
Finally, I know it's a long shot since he's so busy, but one day, just ONE day in Texas, is all we ask of States. You know you want him to come out here and see us all
So there you have it. It's just for a weekend. Everyone will be back on Monday, fresh and ready to go. There will be stories and renewed vigor to work on Issue 11. Morale will be high and the educational and cultural value of this experience is priceless. Plus, if need be, we can talk to some of the guys from the Tech Forums who are going, to chip in for all the hotel fare. Seriously, they have money to spare, you should hear what kind of rigs they have.
