As a Bay Area native, I say go for it!! I'll be there in an instant, hehe.

I can wait until 1:30 but if I go much longer I'll be eating my desk... I'll try to be there then.

Nah, that's okay Moggie! Our plan touches down around 1:30 and doesn't factor in the time it'll take to claim luggage (if we end up having to check luggage), car rental and commute! I'd hate for you to wait on us and end up having to eat at your desk! Thanks for offering though!

Though if you or any other Austin locals (or anyone traveling to Austin for the meet 'n greet for that matter) are interested in hanging out and/or grabbing some food later Friday or before the meet 'n greet on Saturday, we'd certainly be interested!

Hm...It might be nice to hang out with people just for the hell of it.

I'm a Dallasite, who'll be heading down there on my day off. Sadly I can't go on Friday, due to prior scheduling conflicts. Y'know, work.

But it'll just be a 3 hour drive down there...so anyone wanna hang out saturday? I need a geek guide to get to all the cool stores

Where exactly is this at btw? I know where Austin is, being a native Texan.

Dave and Busters in Austin. Here's a map - it's basically on the NW corner of 183 and MoPac. The intersection is a little odd if you're not used to it but if anyone has questions about how to get into that particular corner - it's not always obvious - let me know.

Thank you! 170 miles from where I am at, but it could be worth it taking my kids there with me.

There is/was a Meet & Greet in Austin? When? Where? I live in Houston and would love to come!

It seems now is a good time to throw in a shameless plug for an event here in Tampa. We have theme parks and pirate parties and we won't kidnap anyone. Unless you're into that, there's a club in Ybor if you are.

Thought that was you.

Yeah, have a get together at one of the steakhouses in the Tammmmm-PA area. We could have a meat and greet.

Sorry Strykyr...this event now falls into the "was" category (it was last weekend). It's a bummer that you didn't find out until after the fact...hopefully they'll have another one next year.

They do seem to have them on a fairly regular basis. Also, when I get bored, I build one for myself. In fact, the last one I built was at the same Dave & Buster's

So, keep watching these boards for more information!
