So Doom? No doom?
Logged onto the forums for the first time in months to see the reaction of the F2P.

Sadly I'd say that the RP'ers have all broken off into their factions, each one with their own version of cannon, all sharing the same space.
Don't know what happened to be honest. The D used to be the place you'd go for RP across groups... now it just seems to be the place for Cape shows and *shudders* ERP cyber.
As for me, I've been more of an impulse RP'er. I do my best on the fly, but I suck at trying to write stories down or plot out events. Every plot needs people to go along with their story, and I never had a problem with that. I just have no idea how to tell my stories.
It's a real shame too, since I have ideas that would be wonderful in the AE.
Damn communication problems. Took me three edits to clean up this post, and it's not even that detailed. -

Also, they didn't give out in-game costumes until AFTER they stopped having Austin events.

So it's time to explain myself.
I've got a concept that I've been wanting to make for a year now, a two-fisted pulp age hero, dual wielding pistols. Well, duh... everyone has an idea for their DP, right?
I'm just lost on how you make a blaster that can survive in melee, thus my questioning on how to make one.
Sadly I won't know more until I preorder GR and get access to it in...what, 2 months or so? That should be enough time to figure out what to do. -

This may be too late, as you've likely already gotten the ideas you wanted.
But as you asked for it, I'm going to share the strange and weird gun image collection I've gathered. It'll likely take several postings, since there's a 10 image cap on this type of board.

Huh... I can't find the hunting rifle that someone cut down to a pistol grip. Very striking, and nasty looking.

Hey all... I'm usually a Brute/Scrapper player, but I keep wanting to try something new. Each time I try out a blaster, I end up dropping it because I'm not enjoying ranged attacks.
So I come to you guys, and ask: Just what IS a blapper, and how do you go about making one? -
They were thinking of making all content accessible to all players, and to remove one of the main reasons for PLing to 50.
You may as well complain about the epic badges being easily gotten.

Yea, that hotpatch fixed the issue for me.
Don't know what happened between patches tho. My old patch when I had XP installed had no problems. -

Download these drivers.
They're the hotfix version of the 9.12 drivers. One of the incorporated fixes handles the "strobing" bug in OpenGL games, CoH included. -

I can believe it tho.
Why the HELL do they need to run a guard program anyways? I don't know of any modern western MMO that needs it. Only the ones from Korea... And if they need it, it sounds like they should spend the time to ...I don't know, code more security into their games.
I say this, but I've been out of the 'cutting edge' mmo's for awhile... For all I know they might now.

Yea, honestly if they would just replace those two passive resist powers with something better, EA would be perfectly fine. Because those two powers are useless as far as I can tell.

I'm at work right now so I can't call up the exact build. But it's mostly from every defense power 4 slotted with level 50 LotG IO sets, and bonuses from other IO sets.
I've played my DM/EA brute as my main from CoV launch, so I seem to have picked up the in's and out's of the powerset. Honestly, I have to wonder... If EA really IS so 'bad', then what would I be like on another secondary brute set?
Because I'm already trying to figure out how to add Purples into my build-set to minmax the bonuses.
