I17 is still in Closed Beta, so anyone who knows about the badges is not allowed to talk about them. As soon as it goes Open Beta and the NDA is lifted, there will probably be full lists posted of the new badges on this forum and badge-hunter.

I swear that I saw a post saying that the Mission Computer was staying around, but damned if I remember where it was. Regardless, I plan on putting one in my base just because it looks cool.

You're going to have to ask yourself a question. How much do I want to discover for myself? By which I mean, most if not all of the new badges will be found and listed by the time it hits Open Beta if not sooner. So the question becomes, do you want to hunt them yourself and only resort to the guide when you get stumped, or do you want to be led on a nice and easy tour?
Just something to think about. I know I'm going to keep myself in the dark on the specifics until I'd gotten at least a few of the badges myself.

Maybe they could make the Mission Computer a Tech version of the magic Pillar of Fire and Ice.

It would be nice if they were more functional in general... as in, more SG related TF's than just the one.

During the Pax Q&A (which can be found here) Posi mentioned something about re-purposing the Items of Power and Cathedral of Pain into something not as broken. No time table was given.

Could that be the cathedral? Sure. Could they have thrown that thing aside, and have new stuff planned instead? Sure. But this is getting far afield enough that we will have to see. 'Tis guesswork at this point.
Does anyone know about any of the badges that come out with i17? I am a huge badge hunter on my villain and I personally can't wait for the new badges. Also, when they put Silver Mantis in Sharkhead, what is going to happen with the mission computer item in the base?
