Once upon a time wasn't there the virtue universe channel (VU2008, 2009, ECT) to fill exactly this role? Did it die a horrible death in the past year?

I started The Cantina because things like VU tend to get bigger than they should and it is kinda daunting for new players (like me) to join them and feel comfortable.
You pay to play. Having fun is ok. Kill Skuls or kill Crey. Hunt at night or in the day. Black or white or shades of grey. Play it your way. We have no say.

The only problem I have with VU are the handful of folks who treat it like their own personal social stage. I have no problem interrupting them to advertise teams, availability, or asking pertinent game-related questions.

Hey Virtuites!
Just wanted to announce to creation of a new social networking channel on Virtue! The Virtue Cantina. The primary purpose of this channel is to connect to various players together so they can meet some of their fellow players and discuss whatever they want! I just want to mention that it is likely the language may be for more mature players, so keep that in mind when joining. There was a channel much like this on my old server of Protector, and I sincerely hope to see it thrive! Thanks for your time guys, and I hope to see you there!
