There are too many players already who run around bragging about how much debt they have. A Few minutes playing with them and you realize why they have so much debt. A few more minutes playing with them and their utter lack of Tactic or Common Sense get you debt also.
Some of us Players ROLEPLAY our characters and DO NOT get alot of Debt. We are PROUD of the fact that we dont get Debt. Again, we are ignored and slighted. Rewards to the dumbest and most careless players.
Yeah, I'll just keep muttering "Its a reward, be happy."

Gods, but people whine.
Go to Split Infinity radio, they explained why they're doing this - it's part of "Encourage people to team, heck do crazy things without worrying about the hangover the next morning!"
And for the people who complain that they won't get to work on their debt badges?
... How long does it take you to die five times? At 50, even for a tank... turn off your armors, get to Monster Island with a few Awakens and a friend to TP you into the water to use them... 90 (?) seconds of debt protection, I'll be generous and say 20 seconds to die. Under ten minutes, you're back at the cap.
"Don't look a gift horse in the mouth" - and don't try to resemble the other end, either.
I'm just excited that the announced date of these gifts indicate the issue will be released prior to that!

Winter begins Dec 21. It's all Fall up until then.

Hmmm guess I could help my tiny (3 person/4toon) VG on Virtue by using those trial codes I have laying around, dual boxing, and inviting a horde of useless alts. Just seems an annoying and akward reward that promotes the wrong type of play (I suspect to hear a lot of recruiting going on and a lot of people after the awarding complaining about being kicked from their SG, not everyone is aware of this upcoming award so may think they're getting legit SG invites).
I think a flat reward regardless of SG size would be more useful. As others have pointed out the small SGs won't get as much of a bonus (between 10 and 24 my villain got 100k prestige for his VG and that's about 75% of the VGs prestige since there's onloy 3 other members) while the big SGs that will get more probably won't notice it as much unless they are mostly inactive accounts or new and went on a recruiting spree.
Of course they could encourage SGs to trim inactive members by making the reward reverse proportional: give 20k prestige for each member LESS than the new cap that the SG has, then even a SG at the old cap would get 1.5mil prestige while a 1 person SG would get just shy of 3mil

It was announced some time back that Issue 11 raises the member limit of a VG/SG from 75 to 150
Will SGs on Test get the prestige grant? There are many SG's created after the mega-prestige period for new test bases. With Test population relatively low, it is hard for a Test SG to build up significant prestige. The grant would help them tremendously.
I asked this question on the test server forum and received no official reply. Some suggested we just keep copying a rich character to test over and over and convert his influence to prestige. I'm sure that would work, if you had significantly wealthy live characters. The invention system has done its work of being a "gold sink", and the days of huge wealth for me are over.

You have 12 slots on your main server that can be used to make temporary alts to pad your SG/VG numbers. You also might have all 12 slots on EVERY other server free. So get on the forums and find someone in a similar position on each of the other 10 servers, and I join thier SG with quickly made characters on thier server and they do the same for me. 10 other guys now join my SG with 12 people. I have 12 people originally and now I have 132 members and get 2.64 million prestige.
I mean you can make a sparse barely functional base with the 300k you can get for the first 15 signups normally. Even if you only get 20-30 people to PAD your SG, you get a few hundred thousand prestige to go to town with.
Myself? I reactiveated my second account for this. I also just got a trial account. I also had an inactive friend who parked 3 characters in my SG several months ago. I will have 39 characers in my SG on my own. Then I have 24-36 slots on every other server to offer to trade someone. I dont play redside much, and only have one character over 20 on a different server. Was thinking about making a whole SG over there with my three accounts just to make a little base for him and maybe keep the characters to play around with sometime.
Okay great we get more prestige and debt wash. Is there any idea of a double xp weekend coming up in december? =)

We'll likely be running the scripts to do the Debt Wipe and Prestige Grant on the Training Room (on the beta version of Issue 11) sometime before Dec. 10th to test it out. So, yes, you should see this on the Training Room. As soon as we have a date, we'll let you know.

Pad with existing members.
Have the existing members make up a series of level 1 throwaway alts on that server - use Trial Account codes if need be. Invite them ALL to the group, pad to 150 - make sure they're named in an obvious "delete me on December 11th" manner. Get your mad influx of Prestige ... then give those throwaways the boot. Everyone then deletes their throwaways, and all is well in RP-land. ^_^

Oops! My bad. I understood that the game was bought by a third party. After reading the notice again I've noticed that NCSoft just bought out their partner.
I'd still like to know what's in store for the future of the game, but at least I'm sure now that it'll progress similarly as it has been.

To be clear, getting the other side of the game was a one time thing. If you make a new account with just CoH you will only have CoH (or vice versa for CoV).
