When they started coming out with different skins for weapons, I made Yankee Hater in beta, with a baseball bat (mace), he had as close to Red Sox outfit as I could, with a blue baseball cap, and some kind of vest with the letter B in red on it.

I never followed through on live because I got sick of rednecks thinking I hate northerners, when I'm from Cape Cod MA.

I have Captain Micromanage saved on a few different servers, all MMs with a military-looking costume. Never ended up any of them except 1, which I got to about lvl 22.

Also found it a little surprising when I got the name Arachnos Widower for my arachnos widow character. Even though he never got passed level 18.

My inspi organization is very specific as well. Strongest on bottom, weakest on top. Blues left column, then reds, then yellows, then purples, then greens. I always try to keep the top row empty, save for a wakey on top of the greens and a breakfree next to that (because the bf is purple too). I always use the weakest inspis that I have so as to have a stock of stronger ones in case I need them. If I ever get an extra wakey, I delete it. If I get anything else(oranges, extra BFs, anything weaker than what I already have of anything else), I use it as soon as I can. Anytime I get an inspi stronger than one of the ones I'm stocking, I switch them out, and use the weaker one.

    Or a teleport.

For the last six, eight years or so, I've been teleporting teammates underneath the reactor. I'll initiate the TP, type "Trust test," and then see who has teleport prompt on.
I turned the prompt on as soon as I found out about it, which was probably about a month after I started playing. Which then led me to superb annoyance everytime someone complained about getting tp'd without warning.

I didn't find out about this but was told it by a fellow badger, not sure if it's ever been patched or found out by the gen pop, great tool for the WST 50 times badge...

TV respec, you can follow the hostage through the locked door....I think it's the very first hostage, free em, then let them run off. This doesn't work if you open any of the other doors I think....just let the hostage run through and open doors until they get to the locked one. Then follow them through (real quick, I think the door closes after them).

I also haven't done this in over a year, so I'm not sure if I even have it 100% right, I just know that that's the jist. The reason this is useful for that badge is that a failed respec mish is counted for the badge credit....run the trial as normal, cheat through that door, fail the respec, and you start over at the beginning of that mish, which takes like 5 mins tops. Lather, rinse, repeat.

How funny would it be to find out later today that the game is saved, and half the people on this thread get banned?

edit: well, maybe "ironic" would have been a better term...

Also, I don't know if anyone on Justice remembers the Green Flame Avenger and his SG the Avenging Flame (I think it was called), but I hated that kid. He was so annoying, and he started his SG the same time I started mine, except he would sit in Atlas and spam invites to everyone he could. I couldn't stand that, and the fact that he grew an extremely active SG made me hate him more.

Other than the fact that everything he said lacked a foundation in logic, the only thing about him that made me happy was when I would see him going after badges that I already had, while I stayed a good 50-100 badges higher than him. I even helped him on one defeat badge....until I got it, then I left him to figure it out on his own :-)

I guess I've more than dabbled in SG hostile takeovers.

There's the SG on Protector I mentioned in an earlier post.

My main SG, Crimson Hero Society (lord I hate that name!), I originally started with a fellow lvl 10 (this is when my main character was in his infancy), who insisted on having "Society" in the name. I didn't want to try building an SG on my own, so I decided to let him have that, and we formed the SG. Over the next few weeks, I realized I couldn't stand him. Then he disappeared for a few weeks, and by the time he got auto-demoted out of co-leader status, I'd already decided to give him the boot. Since we'd (I) already gotten a good amount of Prestige into the SG, I decided to hang onto it and hope someday I'd be able to change the name.

My main VG, Chaos Faction (I actually liked that name!), I co-bought for somewhere around 30 mil inf from someone who'd already done most of the hard work. My co-owner had a friend who he let rebuild most of the base, and I went out and got most of the missing beacons. He had some personal issues, one that included not liking the game enough to stick around for much longer. Eventually, he was auto-demoted out of co-leader, and when I decided that I was going to take a temporary CoH hiatus, I removed him and any of his friends that he had invited, so as not to lose the VG.

Now it's off to do dishes and eat dinner whilst watching S1E4 of Dr Who. The first episode blew, the second was good, the third...meh....we'll see how this one is.

At least I like the actor playing him. :-)

With the exception of the last 1 or 2 gained in the past year while I was inactive, I've used EVERY SINGLE respec available to my main, Topher Wade. That's after 7 years of vetspecs, freespecs given a few times a year, (maybe minus a few freespecs that didn't stack), respec trial respecs, and any other way I may have gotten one.

Yup! I guess that is what he inherited. And that and everything he added is what I inherited! lol, at least I left him the base, decorations, and all the prestige :-)

My confession: I just don't care about the real numbers and all that junk. I would make a mids build of characters already at 50 (as someone already mentioned), and would just try to get as much recharge and def as I could. I don't know what all the numbers mean, and I don't care. I care that Dull Pain is ready to be used by the time that it's faded away, and that I always have a steady attack chain. I just like the shiny face-values!
  21. Winning about 100 mil infl from a costume contest.

Having someone tell me in game that my main's main costume inspired many of that person's costumes.

Honestly, I play a lot of PVP in games....mostly fighters. I have a pretty thick skin when it comes to losing.

Until I faced stalkers in this game. Being killed by stalkers in this game (before i13) was the only thing that ever made me want to pick up my rig and throw it out of the window. Even being perfected when going up against someone with greater skill in a fighting game didn't make me angry. But stalkers......geeze they made me see red.

I guess it's due to usually not being able to see them before you die. When I played Metal Gear Online (before it was shut down) snipers caused me to act the same way.
I fully enjoyed having a scrapper with good enough tohit that I would most often see them coming. Made for some good stalker-whipping.

As compared to WoW or any fantasy themed MMOs out there. People all over the world seem to be more exposed or can readily accept the fantasy genre despite how saturated and tired the fantasy mmo market is.
I can understand this....the whole Superman/Batman thing has been around in the US for a loong time, from the TV shows to the movies. This is most specific to the non-comic book people, since there are a lot of Americans who are into the whole superhero thing but have never picked up a comic.

I know why....I went and got married. Dammit, it's all that woman's fault! All her nagging, keeping me from this game, my absences and random disappearances during games must have driven off half of the playerbase.
