*cracks whip* Get to fixin!
Oh and FEPAARN* AhhhhhhhHHHhhhHHHhh!!!!!!
First Ever Post After A Red Name -
Mostly in the CoV side bank missions (from my experience, though I'm sure plently of other missions). The pieces/parts have been asked for many times.
-
It's account driven and 'should' be automatic. They (NCSoft) will put you in their 'que' depending on your qualification. i.e.
o Tier One: City of Heroes Veterans with 60+ months of paid time.
o Tier Two: Loyalty Program players
o Tier Three: Players who Pre-Order Going Rogue (Preorder details to be announced at a later date)
The only thing to make sure of (if you are planning on participating in the Beta) is to make sure you have the Test client installed. -
Ah, thanks. I'm not sure how much damage the team did as I kept rubberbanding back to a point on the map...was very irritating!

Choice of powers after downing the zone GM? I did that last night and didn't get a choice of powers. I got the accolade and associated badges. Granted I was lagging quite a bit and actually didn't make it to the GM before my team and others took him down.
Do you have to do damamge to get the powers choice? What are the choices? -
Wonders if TF's and SF's can have a default lowest value of 1 (or whatever alue the Devs concider WAI)?
-
Great post and I agree. Been here since 2004, through divorce, marriage (again), child birth (ok, the wife endured child birth but I endured the wife
), and now deployment to the Middle East. I've never had a bad experience with the game or the Devs. Kudos to you all and we apprecieate your hard work.
Now get back to work!!!! **cracks whip and lets the dogs loose*** -
I think it's a giant ramp. Superspeeders will be able to run full speed and launch themselves to the moon. Everone else will have to take a boring 'ol rocket...

Quote:I16 release before Friday?!?As for free tailor tokens, my understanding is they plan to hand out 1 for each costume slot on Friday. Free tailor sessions, respecs, etc are not part of an issue or patch, that's something that's granted by Ops (I believe they have scripts they run on the database servers). They're probably waiting until the new issue is fully installed and working before handing those out.
edit...crap! it's live already!?!? I guess I need to stay on the ball a bit more.I blame the crappy internet in 3rd world countries while on deployment...Time to play!!!

Without the packs I believe that's the case (all black until you uncover them). The hazard zones, such as Boomtown, Parez Park, and Hollows remain black even with the vidiotmaps. It's been so long since I ran the game without vidiotmaps it's hard for me to remember.

Quote:For the record, I meant all of of those factors together. Most people, after a few years, would probably start from scratch rather than go through every step.Numbers 1-4 are irrelevant.
1. You can install the game whether or not you've changed computers
2. You can update your email address in Account Management
3. You can retrieve your username/password (via phone if necessary)
4. You can download the game from the internet
Regarding the rest of your post, I don't have an opinion either way. -
And what are the chances that someone who hasn't subcribed for 4+ years still :
1. Has the same computer with the game still installed
2. Has the same email address because you know...
3. Has forgotten the username/password
4. has the original install discs
5. Remembers the names of every toon on the account
I think they should scale the name purges.
1-2 years inactive account - name purge for toons lvl 10 and below
2-3 years inactive account - name purge for toons lvl 25 and below
4-5 years inactive account - name purge for toons lvl 35 and below
5+ years inactive account - name purge of all toons (minus lvl 50's)
My 2 inf... -
Frankly, I'd think you (the OP) would be used to the downtimes after 4 years. It's rare for them to just take the servers down without notice. You should also know by now that the closer it is to new issues the more downtime gets extended a bit (presumably to preload live servers as they go to ready the switch).
I've been here for 5 years and don't sweat it. Of course I curse everytime they take the servers down when I'm trying to play, but I know it's coming. -

When you buy the Science pack and have it applied to your account, you get all the goodies: costume pieces, emotes, costume change emotes, and 'temp' power (in this case the 'power' associated with the science pack is the ability to change body models). So, get the science pack ($9.99), and you can do what your buddy does.

I don't see how a conversation can go that bad that you'd want to file a complaint against a GM. I'm assuming you filed a bug, thereby summoning the GM for help. I've never had a bad experience with a GM (unless you count one not showing up before deciding to log). What was the cause of your bad experience?
-
Oh, I read that completely wrong!

No problem TonyV. It's a good article and very clearly written. It was helpful to me when I found it and I like to spread the resources to those that may need it.
-
Keep your hopes up. I'm sure walking is just as impossible as power customization
-
I think you are doing it right. If it's part of a mission sequence, chances are it may be an arc, could lead to a temp power, or lead to a badge mission. I generally use Paragonwiki in determining which contacts I chose (depending on what temp powers or badges I could get). Try here for hero contacts and here for villians.
As always, I suggest exploring Paragonwiki. It has more info than you can imagine.
And welcome to the game! -
Try this (from the Help section of your account):
The Use Card on File option is intended to be used to limit or restrict use of the credit card you have on file for recurring subscription purchases as payment for in-game purchases. This option can be found at the bottom of the Enter Credit Card Information page when changing the current credit card on file for an account.
If you have a credit card currently on file, you may access this option by following the instructions below:- From your NCsoft Account Management page, click the Billing Summary link. In the Actions box in the Credit Card on File section, click the CHANGE CARD option. Select your credit/debit card type from the drop-down menu, followed by the SUBMIT button. Re-enter your credit card details in the Card Info section.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page to view the Use Card on File section.
Allowing and Disallowing In-Game Purchases
The default setting for the Use Card on File option is "pending" for all existing accounts on recurring billing and all new accounts as they are first put on recurring billing. Any account in the "pending" status can be first toggled on by an attempted in-game purchase by verifying the NCsoft master account login username and password. Additionally, to expressly toggle this option off or on, you simply need to uncheck or re-check the checkbox to the right. Checked is on, unchecked is off.
Setting a Purchase Limit
There is a default purchase limit of €250, £160 per 30-day period. You may adjust this limit by entering a new amount in the section below the checkbox.
NOTE:- The adjusted purchase limit is only applicable if the checkbox is checked, allowing in-game purchases.
- You may adjust the purchase limit downward from the default, however there is a system-wide limit of €250, £160 which you may not go above.
