Figuring out what your current build is

Is there an easy way to dump out the order that you picked up your powers and slots? I'd like to make a few small tweaks to my build.

I know of no way to dump it out, but when you respec you start from scratch. I highly recommend using Mid's Hero Designer to plan out your new build

No, there is no way to dump your build order. The game doesn't even keep track of when yu place enhancement slots, so even if there was a way to dump the build, there'd be no way to know when you placed slots.

No, and when you picked the slots doesn't really matter. If you added 6 slots after level 40 to a power you got at level 1, then exemp to level 1, it still has 6 slots. While you do lose powers when exemping, each power keeps whatever slots it normally has.

Now, if you REALLY need to figure out when you took certain powers, you can exemp and see if you keep them. You can use Ouroboros (assuming you are level 25+) to exemp to various levels. If you need to narrow it down further, you can try to find someone the exact level and ask them to exemp you.

I'm old school. I have a note pad that I use to keep track of my power selections.

Clever! Time-consuming, but clever. Personally I'd like to see the level I took a power listed alongside the level it becomes available in the info screens. QoL, sure, but necessary for getting reaaaly tweaky over slotting.

What is this 'note pad' you speak of? What kind of batteries does it take?

"Dump"? What kinda term is that in relation to one's build?

"Dump" is a common phrase, especially in regards to information or data.

So common I have never heard it used that way. I got the meaning based on context, it just struck me as an odd word choice.

Possibly derived from Sturgeon's Law, my friend. That would account for the less-savory connotations of "dumping" data.

Interesting, I hadn't realized that. Thanks for the info.

I used to use the ID badge to figure out what order I took my powers in, but now that all the temporary powers get listed first it's a lot harder to do. I was hoping that HeroStats or something like it might be able to pull the list out of memory.

It seems easy enough for a developer to implement in a few hours -- maybe I should just put in a feature enhancement request.

Wait, so If i 6 slott a lvl 1 move at 40 and exemp down to 10, I keep all those current slotts? I've never heard that... I've only heard that you keep the slotts that were available at that level... Can somone Clarify this please?

It's a very simple text editor that comes with Windows. It can be useful.

You never lose your slots which is why your enhancements degrade when you exemplar/malefactor low enough. Paragonwiki has the math on that part.

total kick to the gut

This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.

Yep, when you exemp you'll loose powers taken over that level, but the slots and the enhancements in them remain.

For example, you're level 50 and you have a level 16 power with 6 slots. As long as you don't exemp below 16 that power is available and it has 6 slots, no matter if you slotted it at 17 or 50. If you exemp to 15 then the power is unavailable just as you'd expect.

Now there is one caveat, your enhancement values will scale down when you exemp; your SO's would scale to DO levels below a certain point and to TO levels at another point. I've seen the table but I don't remember the specifics; I think SO's degrade slightly exemping below 30, drop to DO level close to level 20 and TO level in the early teens. You'll still have all your slots in a power, your enhancements will just be less effective.

If I'm not mistaken I think IO's scale as if they were whatever level you're exemped to, so a level 40 IO would enhance as if it were level 20 if you're exemped to 20.

But in answer to your question YES, you will keep all slots when you exemp so your slotting order is meaningless on a respec.
