UnOfficial Cathedral of Pain Feedback
Here is the general form that PMs to positron should take, also i will include the form created for in game global tells.

PM version
Dear Positron,
I and other base builders are curious as to where the bases are going. We feel like bases are an abandoned feature. We want to know what work is being done, and when we can expect more features and requests implemented. Also we as a collective would like to know what is happening or going to happen with the Cathedral of Pain Trial, Base raiding, Base bugs, and Raiding. We know you are working hard on every issue and problem that comes at you but we want to know where are these things?

Seriously, the CoP , base raids and Items of Powers have been one of the biggest failure from the Dev team in this game. Just thinking that these features were showing on the CoV box when it first came in store makes me laugh alot.
I wonder if it will ever be fixed. With IOs available nowadays , Items of Powers seem pretty powerless. Theyd need to give a way better bonus so that players be willing to raid to get them.

Q: Cathedral of Pain. I know it's not technically PvP but it is the basis of base raiding. Any word whether it will be re-introduced anytime in the future?
Castle: As I said earlier, Id really, really want this live. I think it's a fun, fast bit of Supergroup/Raid content. It's not even particularly challenging; it's just fun.

How does it work then? Please enlighten us? If we are simple players that devs rarely notice, what must we do to get the answers we need? Other than keeping PMing them until they get it, what else can we do? Tell us.
I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

I can tell you that mass PMs are an absolute waste of time. Attempting to force Devs into noticing you is absolutely the wrong idea, especially when what is proposed is essentially spamming.
There isn't anything that you can do to make a Dev address an issue, because you aren't entitled to Dev attention. They don't have to talk about what you want them to talk about.
What I've done several times in the past, successfully, is to respond to Dev public posts with a polite request for information. You can also try the approach of the 'request for clarification' on an issue - start a thread which, while not calling anyone out, asks what the state of play is on a given issue.
But in this instance, there is already something to get behind. Ex Libris made her big list of issues that players would like Dev feedback on, which EvilGeko has lately been trying to get some attention given to. (I believe the state of base raids and the CoP are on that list.) Since ExLibris is currently at GenCon, we aren't likely to see anything on that score for a few days at least.
i'm just wondering when exactly we're going to get this thing on live server. the fact that character transfer is going to me installed before that is mind boggling considering that most people assumed we'd never get server transfer.

LOL.. you missed the point of character transfers.. Plaync stands to make alot of money! Real Money on that. BUT fixing COP, the spirit signal which doesnt attach to the altar, the fact that delilah in faultline gets stuck in the vator and never follows you like she is supposed to, the clear the base in faultline that almost always has the glowie in an inaccessible location, These dont make plaync money so they will likely not get fixed anytime soon. Anybody else get a bankmish in faultline that sends you to the arachnose base? hehehe. I call it the "protect the arachnose bank mish"

Hey, wasn't there an IoP that gave Mag 3 Mezz protection or something? I don't see Items of Power replacing stuff like that...
Maybe if the god damn devs finally implement the feature we could find out if its worth it or not. Having to wait almost two years for something that was promised, publicized, and promoted as a feature in CoV and then finding out ITS NOT THERE really pisses a lot of people off.
Until it's fixed or pushed into testing again, we'll have to put up with the dev's ignoring it.
I do however, remember sometime ago when it was on the live servers. It was amazingly fun to do with my SG. And the IoPs we got were so awesome. I still can't believe it's still not in game...
Blame the bug that allowed for infinite fedex type mish completions while the trial was in progress. Many Sg/Vgs exploited it, and since the devs couldnt tell everyone who had exploited they couldnt touch those peoples accumulated prestige/inf/exp or there would have been a huge public outcry, so they simply took the trial offline siting a major bug (which it was) and then kinda shelved it...
I for one never got to play the trial, I wish I had, and I really really want it back. If I knew how to code, and had the experience i would work for Cryptic for free on this one issue, just so that it could go back in the game.

The broken CoP and IoP system is an utter EMBARRASSMENT for Cryptic. There is nothing more pathetic than an advertised feature that is still non existent 2 years since people paid for it. And the continual UNWILLINGNESS for them to keep us posted on its status is inexcuseable and deplorable.
The only thing worse than devs making bad decisions is the hoard of fanboys and bootlickers that keep cheering them on.
Suggestion to the Devs, why not put the CoP back on test and let us test it some more, see if we cant find some of those bugs and such. I envision that as being easier than diverting cryptic staff to test for bugs when the large playerbase can find them much more quickly.

Okay..just heard from someone who went to PAX and talked with positron himself. Apparently there are some major problems with the trial and IoPs in general, and the person who asked Posi got the distinct impression that we wouldnt be seeing the trial or IoPs for a long long time. (note it wasnt a PM so i can post it :P) ((And hehe no real surprises there.))

Dear Devs:
Since the CoP trial has been defunct for nearly two years now, would you at least disable raid pathing for bases? That way I can build my base the way I want it, not in accordance with a feature that is not and may never be implemented.
Thanks.
This is very frustrating to me as well. I have been playing this game for 36 months and of all the things I have seen come and go, the IoP's and CoP trial are by far the thing I am most excited about. It gives U a reason to have a base with all the dodads u have earned and made. Might as well take the weapons out of the base edit screen being that we have no real reason to raid each other anymore.
I also agree that this should be one of the prime objectives of the next issue to get back into the game. I like the new stuff in the game they keep giving us but it doesn't compare. It gives the sg as a whole a reason to be moreso than just a bunch of friends. U work together for a common goal over and above the little earnings U get in the sg base.
PLEASE FIX IT
SOOG!

Frustrating, not to mention embarrassing.
If I were a Dev, and I created an issue (I6) that introduced an entirely new feature that was touted and celebrated and hyped, and said feature demonstrated a serious flaw(s) once it went live, I'd be fast-tracking it to the Fix-It-Now pile immediately. I mean, it's a major part of an issue; they made a whole little featurette showing Statesmen and Co. invading Recluses' digs to steal his IOP; it's printed on the god-forsaken box for COV.
If I were a dev who worked on this feature, I'd be damn embarrassed that it's still broken after all this time. Especially when they delay new issues and features because they're worried about quality control and bugs and someone worming their way around "working as intended."
What's next?
"We found a bug in the Rikti invasions, so we'll suspend them."
"For the next two years."
"We'll get around to it."
"Maybe."

While I agree on the patheticality, no one "paid" for this feature. They pay for access to the game, which has not been interrupted. Having a certain feature (flashback, CoP, IoP, server transfers, etc) is up to the Developer discretion.
Just trying to smart-up your line of argument. Carry on.

Cryptic has failed to deliver an advertised feature of CoV in a working format a full callendar year after the game went live. Had the Cathedral of Pain and Base Raids showed up in anything vaguely resembling a timely manner, there would probably be a much higher level of interest in Bases, despite the flaws in the system that many posters have listed here. For whatever reason, whether it be lack of staff resources, focus shifting to other priorities or indeed other projects at Cryptic, this is a pretty big failure on Cryptic's part.

How much longer before its up and running?
Simple Question, just needs a simple response from a Dev.
Seriously, I can only speak for myself, but theis is really the only thing keeping me from joining a SG. I don't care if the buff is no more than that of an IO set, I will defend that IoP with my (conceptual) life. Of course, there are other things that could make bases a more pleasent place to hang out, but this has always been a show-stopper for me.
"Samual_Tow - Be disappointed all you want, people. You just don't appreciate the miracles that are taking place here."
Actually if it is technical reasons that is stopping them from bringing the CoP to us (which I'm sure it is). Then a friend of mine had a really good idea that serves the playerbase. Make the CoP a co-op TF and offer a rare recipe. Just scrap the TF for IoP and design a new one from the ground up. I mean you have basically a whole TF just sitting for over a year barely used.

Hello, my name is @Caligdoiel and I'm an altoholic.
Me and a bunch of buddies from the base building forum would like your support to get an answer regarding the CoP out of positron..please PM him and ask what is happening with the CoP trial, as it seems that mass PMs will be the only thing in this universe that will cause him to sit up and take notice and maybe respond.
