No, there were patch notes the first time it was on test and they fixed the AV's shield.

What I'd like to know is whether it has been reactivated for testing.

can multiple SG/VGs cooperate on 1 instance of this (thru Leader-teams or coalition), or do they all have to be in the same SG/VG at the time of the trial?

my other question was "can this be completed with a single team as opposed to the 20-ish teams reported here", but that was answered Yes already.

That's not how it works at all. There are no mission type rewards - you don't get XP for the mobs, and you only get some at the end.

Also, the whole point of the trial is to enable base raid PvP. That is what it is for. The PvP aspect isn't tacked on or 'forced', it's the trial's raison d'etre.

It's pretty lame, IMHO, that to get some of the more nifty bits, like some of the nice base enhancements, players are essentially forced to play a way they may or may not want to play, i.e. PvP in the form of "base raids".

This is about as lame as forcing someone with CoH only to have to buy CoV just to get access to the SG bases themselves, even though the base portals are in CoH itself.

So much for allowing players 100% freedom to play how they want and have access to things whether or not they want to PvP or not.

No. But someone once told me it costs 100,000 Prestige to raid someone elses base. Win or lose.

I was trying to see if I could set up my SG's base to do this, but it still says it's unavailable. Has anyone heard if this has gone live yet?

I was wondering about this too.....What's the latest news on the CoP trial? Is it even on test? I'd like to run through it with a pick-up-SG on test at some point if it is.....Maybe on Monday or something.

No word yet, not on test, no feedback on if our findings were bugs, flukes, or working as intended.

Too goddamned far away.

I'll be bluntly honest. Nothing is holding me to this game anymore except for friends. The content peaked out a long time ago. I literally hate playing villains. The atmosphere, the powersets, just do not like CoV at all. I'm a Hero through and through, and I want to experience high-end Hero content in, at one time, was my favourite game of all time.

I've been playing since first wave beta and have always tried to stick to the Dev's side and understand Statesman "grand vision". But at this point, I'm disheartened. A great deal.

I want the Cathedral of Pain in this game like you wouldn't believe. Almsot everyone in Jagged Legion feels the same.

And unless Issue#8 has some impressive high level Hero content, after a great deal of patience, I'll be moving on. And, yeah, after more than two years of paying, and playing, and making some great history and memories here, it's going to sting a bit. But I'm also sad to say I'm tired of being let down by a team I at one time defended beyond measure.

Just my two cents.

I would like to know what the technical problem is that makes this thing so impossible. Bases were initially designed around this stupid thing.

When the trial was active, a mission for anyone else in the Sg could complete,give a bonus but not clear.

You could say have a Fedex to Azuria, stand by her and click her every second for the entire time, the trial was active getting a mission complete bonus each and every time.

Wow. so that was the bug?

No wonder they pulled the Trial. And no wonder a lot of higher level SGs jumped up in Prestige during those few days. I thought the IoPs or Trials were just giving lots of Xp/Prestige.

Heh. You know the day before it was taken away I ran the Trial solo and had quite a bit of fun trying to take down those monolith thingies. Pity, I could have spent the afternoon farming Prestige...

Oh well.

The biggest issue of keeping players in the SG and staying active is probably with the COP, most players would like more SG interaction... One thing of note, I noticed on villain side that the SG Mission computer allows them access to more missions than COP, I know of no such feature on hero side, why is that?

The official feedback thread is locked now, and the trial (along with base raids for items of power) is still not working a year and a half after CoV launch? That's... disappointing...

lets be fair, its not like the COP trial was a release feature or a selling point on the COV boxes now is it?.......

Arenas were I4 and are still massively buggy, im not hopeful on ever seeing the COP trial, past issue features seem low on their priorities, if only someone could show that by NOT having the COP trial running meant everyone was getting 0.00001 xp per minute faster than the devs would like then im sure it would be fixed instantaneously....
