I was just getting home and started my daily pull up Facebook for a few minutes. CoH's post was at the very top. Read the headline and the heart skipped a beat, clicked the link and read it....and just couldn't figure out how to react besides texting my brother who plays at times also.

For me it was always the community. Plus the diverse amount of content over time was awesome. Also the devs almost always interacting with players so that we didn't feel like it was a dictatorship.

Quote:I fondly remember those days of Doc Q taking 8-9 hours. So painful. So....so painful.Dr. Q in under 3 hours? What a crazy world COH has become. Designed as a multi-day TF, slogged through in a single 8-9 hour session in practice and promptly forgotten by everybody except the most dedicated TF runners.
It hurt so much one Dr. Q run I did where the TF leader lost his connection and the star devolved onto a guy who had gone AFK an hour beforehand (presumably he fell asleep) and showed no signs of returning, with a GM that couldn't do anything about it because the rules. -
I still love the Eden trial map also. Exact reasons you gave but also for me the ending has that huge open area and just gobs and gobs of enemies around. Though as someone else mentioned, the back story to the giant bones and whatnot is lacking.

As it stands, the Corrupter proc is useless to my toon. For her pbaoe end, she just pops Heat Loss
Though I'm not asking for it to be changed. Just from that list, it seems Corrupter's got somewhat shafted.

10 years ago I was a junior in High School (and no major medical issues). How times have changed...
Though I never knew of CoH until the day before it launched, thanks to IGN. Now I feel even more old.

I want the giant hawk back

Watch out for nerd rage on Ustream. Currently at an all time high

Standing in PI, being bored. First world problems.

I can't remember exact timing but somewhere around Issue 1 or Issue 2, they made Super Reflexes usable. Since my main was BS/SR from day 1 (and suffered dearly from when SR was utterly terrible), that made him enjoyable and still do to this day with all the changes over time.

I believe there was one time where they put an issue out on a Friday and the servers basically went to hell. Needless to say players weren't pleased and I can only imagine the ragefaces in the office on Monday morning.

I'm an introvert also. Between the Aspergers and moderate to rarely severe anxiety, CoH actually has been great for me. I can solo or team but I don't feel the pressures that society puts on everyone in a setting outside of this game. Of course, there is pressures on teaming but I really don't mind doing Trials like BAF, etc... I stay relatively quiet and do my job. Reap the reward(s) and move on.
Thankfully with enough RL help to control and understand better the certain parts needing worked with me, I'm tolerating RL more. But back on subject, I'm content with how CoH is. That's just me of course but for others, I can see why it's more difficult so I feel for you. -
Regardless of what you do, I'm glad you're participating in the protest against SOPA.

Remember the alpha slot mission where you're basically a god? Well, you can thank the 32 bit integers!

My Ice/Cold Corrupter would beg to differ. Plus, this isn't the suggestions forum. It's about the current beta.

My original toon when the game came out will always be my true main even though he's fallen on the wayside. He's a machine as a BS/SR Scrapper with a unique build that works really well for my playstyle.
My Ice/Cold Corrupter after getting her IO'd out (semi-old vet returning when Freedom launched) and then Incarnate is just so much more enjoyable. Kind of a jack of all trades but yet I don't feel like a master of none. So she's basically become what I deem a "co-main" or I guess a Vice President of my toons.
The rest are just alts who I play on occasion if the team needs a certain AT. -
Have fun Jade! Pinnacle will hold a frosty one for when you return

An epic night indeed. The amount of threads/astrals/emp merits was absurd by the end and worth the loss of sleep. I'm glad to have came along on both the first successful TPN and MoM on Pinnacle
All thanks to Billy! Thanks!

The easy way a group of us on Pinnacle has done so far is to ignore all the side "jobs". Even when mael is out, telepaths, etc... Have a tank or 2 in the buildings with the entire group taunt the enemies away from the terminals and ST attack the Technician's asap. Rinse, repeat in the other buildings.
You'll overcome the loss of Public Opinion by following that. It's repetitive yes but it's very doable in terms of completing TPN. -
The question may come up but the only Nightmares that count are the AV versions and not the later ones that are only Boss class.
