Also, Inspiration bins sound like a GREAT idea. I foresee many Kora-gathering expeditions for the SG.

"Tired of not being able to store those special Inspirations you’ve been lugging around for months? Do you wish you could leave your Salvage and Enhancements in your cozy citadel for you and your compatriots to use later? With the new Storage Items you will be able to create Inspiration receptacles, Enhancements containers, and bins to keep all your Salvage in a convenient spot for all to share!"

Why can't we just buy storage bins? Why must we create and then place them?

And what about ambrosia? Could make the Eden Trial a lot easier for the next SG team if there were leftovers.

Also: am I imagining it, or does the third picture down show wall mounted monitors at the far end?

damn those are nice base, now i'm looking forward to i7!

yep Ambrosias would be great stored. I knwo I had 4 left after one trial - dropped em off on a team who were just forming up.

YES! Now, reduce the plot costs and everything will be sweet.

Does this mean we finally get a proper 'sit' emote?

Because that would be too easy, I like the idea that you must work for what you want. Nothing in life is for free

Are there any plans to let Hero players get into their SG bases, as opposed to just Villain players that also play heroside?

None of this is at all useful if you can't actually get in.

I'm just afraid to even ponder how much these things will cost.....Everything even remotely nice is priced so that small groups can't get them. I'll wait till it hits test to see if my SG has a chance at ever owning one.

I'm pretty sure the cool stuff will be ridiculously priced, although I imagine that the empowerment stations will be reasonable. They are supposed to be usable by small SGs, after all. Of more concern to me is what room types some of these new gadgets will require. My base does not have a permanent workroom, and will not have one until I can upgrade the plot. I'm worried that the empowerment stations and storage bins will require a workroom to be placed.

Costs for a 10-slot inspiration bin? 1million!

Cost for a 10-slot enhancement container? 500K!

[/ QUOTE ]

I really, really hope they don't cost that much. I'll be very disappointed. Can't non-hardcore/smaller groups have cool stuff too?

I didn't see anything about an influence bank.

Did I miss it? Will I still need to have another player character to transfer funds to my lowbies?

EDIT: Beyond that.... VERY NICE STUFF, Devs

Be well, people of CoH.

I hope I'm wrong, but past experience says that they will be so expensive to almost prohibit a small SG from owning one. That would be sad too, because it would be very easy to make a win-win situation with these things: make them come in many sizes, for different prices.

Small SG: doesn't need huge containers for their limited members, so make it relatively cheap. (But don't make them TOO small)

HUGE SG: They need humungous containers for their members, so they can pay dearly for it.

Medium SG: you get the idea. In between.

All I can hope is that they have at least reasonably priced ones for smaller SG, not a 1-size-fits-all, uber-expensive one, or overpriced for its capacity.

When I read the article, to me, it sounded like the empowerment stations were to be used in base... like as for base raids...

I'm pretty sure this isn't right since there was a big show that it would be for smaller groups (which I know my small hero group is no where near thinking about getting a raid teleporter, nor being able to afford one), so that it would be for powering up, then dashing off to a difficult mission or something.

I was under the impression this would make temporary powers, but now it doesn't sound like that.

Alas, we need to wait for it to hit test to even get a clue...

The additions sound great but they certainly do sound ridiculously expensive. Especially the ones where you can create your own special buffs for your SG. Generating prestige in a small to medium sized SG is a grind to maintain the needs of a base to accomodate raids and items of power. This isn't going to make the prestige crunch any easier.

Hopefully Cryptic will realize this and ease off on the high costs of maintaining a base. If not, only 3-4 of the super SGs per server are going to active raiding each other. Especially if items can be permanently damaged.
