First...I confirm that we're working on right now (as in pohsyb in the next room) to add CoV costume parts into CoH if you own both games....
Then we repeal the hated stealth nerf. The reason why: many well reasoned posts. It's that simple. You guys pointed out the problems.
AND now...we're changing the way Archvillains spawn. A ton of forum goers disliked adding so many AV's into missions a while back...so we've come up with a solution. If the team size and mission difficulty are ABOVE a certain level, an Archvillain spawns. Below that, players will face only an Elite Boss. If the mission is set on the first two levels of difficulty, it takes 4 heroes or more to spawn an Arch Villain. On the third level, 3 heroes or more. On the fourth level, 2 heroes. On the highest (Invincible), a solo hero will spawn an AV. Note this works in BOTH City of Heroes and Villains.
In order to incentivize larger teams, Positron is going to add a bonus to AV rewards!

That sounds cool. I like the AV idea.

Can't wait for the AV change, i've actually been hold back my solo villain to avoid them and hope this change would happen
Nice work States.
I enjoy the AVs, so I'll still be fighting them, but this is a great way to avoid getting stuck if teammate resources are unavailable.
Thanks for eight fun years, Paragon.

Just to calrify: The Archvillain thing is ONLY for Mission AV's, Archvillains in Task Forces/Strike Forces and World Spawns will not be changed.
In City of Villains, Archvillain-class enemies are called "Heroes" and this change applies to them as well. (With the exception of Strike Forces and World Spawns of course).

Kudos on all three things. You have made a lot of players happy with this list.
Keep the line of communication open and, hey, try asking players about proposed changes sometimes. You might get some useful feedback and save yourself programming time and effort by not having to go back and fix things. Just a suggestion.

*THANK YOU*
Yay! I wonder what the extra bonus is though besides more exp/infamy. A temp power? Him as your arena slave? I must know the secret! *goes more insane than normal*

AV change... you guys ROCK. AV bonus for those of us who do them, and Elite boss for those of us who don't want to be bothered. That is a great compromise. Thank you.

Fully understandable. Especially since its not like your going to be soloing SF/TF's nowadays anyways.

Thanks guys. This really proves that you are they and listening to us (as loud and obnoxious as we can be). Good work.
Jack that is the first post of yours since I3 that hasn't made me want to tear my hair out. Thanks!
How will this change effect gettting AV Badges? Will you still need to defeat the AV or will the Elite Boss give you the badge too?
Devs, I take back several bad things I've said about you. Oh sure, I've not posted a whole lot publicly, but in private, I've had a few choice words to impart. I humbly stand corrected, and am happy to be so.
Excellent stuff.
Now, about that ED thing....

I agree with this. I think the extra bonus should be something out of the ordinary. A lot of people I know find AV fights kind of boring.
I am most grateful.
