To the Devs: Thank you. The AV change is most welcome and will make the "hated 40+ game" much more doable in small teams or solo. The stealth thing I didn't really have a problem with anyway, but it is always nice to roll something back based on player feedback. Thank you for listening, as always.

One thing I always wanted to see in an AV mission are two AV's in the same room not fighting each other but working together to fight your team. I think the added difficulty would be very nice to help spice up some AV battles. Most of the time they are over really fast with the right team on your side.

Wow. This was somewhat... unexpected, but in a good way, a very good way.
The Elite Boss/AV change was the most unexpected to me considering that it wasn't that long ago that many of the CoV Elite Bosses were boosted to AV status. Pip pip hurrah! More xp for AV's will not be refused either. From an xp gaining standpoint AV's have always been so miserably low on xp given for the time it takes to defeat them (even at great risk) that fighting blue and green mobs is a more effective use of time.
i have some issues with risk of defeat in combat being the single metric by which xp rewards should be determined, but if that's the vision, i guess that's the vision. After all, it's not like there are any RPG's, PnP or computer, that reward players with xp for achieving mission goals by noncombat methods (like thought, strategy or skill), but wouldn't it be cool if there were? /em whistlesinnocently
Now if the promised removal of the toggle drop attack (a mag 100 stun is guaranteed toggle dropper, more so than the PvP toggle droppers) from 40+ Nullifiers goes through i'll be fairly pleased for a while. It's not fun grabbing aggro to bail out a squishier teammate and going from fine to dead in less than 3 seconds because your damage mitigation is entirely through toggle defenses. (Like my DA brute.)

Not really. ED still sucks. Supression still sucks. PvP is still awful compared to the other PvP choices out there(5 million customers=doing something right). The game is awful compared to I2-I3. Almost all the people I enjoyed playing the game with have left for greener pastures, and all you can do is give out more nerfs? Yes, you did undo this nerf, but not entirely. You still are going to introduce it again, just in a different way. There is no reason to play a superhero game where you feel more like a minion than a hero.
I'm very pleased with these three announcements, guys, especially the AV one (it makes me wish my scrapper still had the Envoy of Shadows lined up so I could beat him to death with his own wings instead of getting a 50 to do it for me).
Will this change go the other way, too, with Elite Bosses like Hercules and Patient Zero becoming AVs if faced with a large enough team?

That would be pretty good if the AV xp boost is enough to make the extra time and risk worth it. Actually, i wouldn't mind even if the xp was the same, but i realize that many others would.

Just to calrify: The Archvillain thing is ONLY for Mission AV's, Archvillains in Task Forces/Strike Forces and World Spawns will not be changed.
In City of Villains, Archvillain-class enemies are called "Heroes" and this change applies to them as well. (With the exception of Strike Forces and World Spawns of course).

To the first, Yay! More costume options are always good.
To the second, good, BUT, you really need to get a better grip on what stealth should do in this game. It's being steadily stripped of its usefulness bit by bit. At the rate you're going, it's going to be not much more than a costume option by mid-year.
To the third: YES! Not that there isn't some validity to the points made by the other posters who do like duoing on-level AVs, but soloability in the late game has just been profoundly improved. Perhaps a heroic with full bosses and AVs setting is needed?
