On vacation - first in Indianapolis with my in laws for Christmas, then off to the Fiesta Bowl with my wife to see the Buckeyes. I was back at work last Wednesday, but there was a lot to catch up on.

AND now...we're changing the way Archvillains spawn. A ton of forum goers disliked adding so many AV's into missions a while back...so we've come up with a solution. If the team size and mission difficulty are ABOVE a certain level, an Archvillain spawns. Below that, players will face only an Elite Boss. If the mission is set on the first two levels of difficulty, it takes 4 heroes or more to spawn an Arch Villain. On the third level, 3 heroes or more. On the fourth level, 2 heroes. On the highest (Invincible), a solo hero will spawn an AV. Note this works in BOTH City of Heroes and Villains.

In order to incentivize larger teams, Positron is going to add a bonus to AV rewards!

OUTSTANDING! Man, I hate to say this but if you all were in charge of SWG pre-1st-Revamp, I would probably still be playing that game. But since you weren't and I am now playing this game, I can honestly say I feel good about playing a game where the Devs listen to their Player Base. This idea is awesome. Thank you States and thank you to all the Devs!

    Accuracy

Ok, I wanna know which one of you Red Named *blank* is gonna fix accuracy so it's viable to play this game at any enjoyable level. I have read the responses here from you guys and, yes it make sense what you are saying as far as explaining your "great new system" but I have to tell you, it's a load of BS.

Your "streak" system is a bunch of junk. Granted I am sure this was implemented as a compliment to the wonderful ED decision. And I can actually see the ED working if the rest of the system that it interacts with wasn't a pile of garbage.

There has got to be something within the base code when you initially create your toon as well. I have created the same AT Brute on 5 different servers, 10 different times on each server. Each toon created has its own individual acc mod to start. Of this I am convinced. Whether you know its there or not, it is. Inevitably, out of 10 toons on each server. I will have 5 that cannot hit the broadside of a barn. I will have 3 that are 50/50 in regards to connecting with attacks. There will always be one who is slightly above 50%. And then I will get a toon that hits easily 80-90% of the time. Does this sound like it fits in your math? Heck no. And yes I have even tried logging in/out several times to see if a random roll is applied to each gaming session. From what I can tell, there isn't. Either your toon will hit or will not hit based off this hidden accuracy modifier. So do some research on it or come clean and admit it's there.

Try what I have done and play your toons at least to level 14. You will see what I mean. So this tells me that your accuracy system is dramatically flawed.

I am so sick of going into a mission, fighting the first group of baddies, burning through my endo and half my inspirations. All on the first GROUP! How can you all possibly say that the acc system works? To answer all you folks that will say I dont have things slotted correctly or that I don't take into account enemy debuffs etc, sorry but I have. I have gone so far as to 3 slot acc at times and ya know what? I still miss more than I should.

There is something fundamentally wrong with your accuracy system. It needs to be changed. Statesman, you have pointed out many times where you have dropped things from going live because they did not fit or work with the live game. This is something that needs to be fixed as soon as possible before it is too late. And don't give your community the canned dev response from every game out there that your internal testing has shown that the accuracy system works. Your community is telling you that it does not. So fix it according to your communities wishes.

    1) Hasten has been removed from the game entirely. We feel that this will allow players more freedom to experience all the powers in their given sets.

Ok, not 100% accurate, but a scary prediction if I might say so myself.
  5. No no no. We have it all wrong. We are looking in the wrong places for the upcoming Nerfs. Statesman keeps his really vile ideas in the cookie jar and not the fridge.

    1) Hasten has been removed from the game entirely. We feel that this will allow players more freedom to experience all the powers in their given sets.

    2) Secondary Power Sets will now only be allowed slotting up to 3 enhancements. This will free up slots for the Main Power Sets and Power Pools.

The latest on Statesman and what he said - See, I told the Regeners that I was not going to nerf DP or QR! This was heard as he ran frothing at the mouth with a very evil laugh from the Scrapper AT Development Meeting.
