He didn't say "Yes", he said "Maybe".

Still though, it makes sense. They allmost have to do it once the turncoat missions are in. Otherwise, you'll run into all sorts of problems when you go to get your costume changed after you change sides.

"You're a hero now, so we have to break all the bones in your legs and reshape them so that they look 'normal'. Nothing personal, it's just that Paragon City doesn't allow things like clawed feet."

That would be more than awesome. Some things should not really be available for heroes, but hey, better too many options than limited ones.

OK - here's the most likely outcome...

If you own both games, you get all options - the new CoV sets will be accessible for your heroes.

[/ QUOTE ]

Please, PLEASE, do this! I know you guys want the villains to look different from the heroes, but the decision should be left up to the player on what their toon looks like. If the player wants a hero that wears a pirate outfit, big frigin’ deal, and the more options the better. No more forced diversification please.

Yes he did say maybe. I suspect its like this. The idea has been approved internally but the character creater has got to be recoded to allow someone with both games full access. They are not 100% certain it will be ready by next Saturday.

So rather than say yes and miss a deadline, he indicated they were thinking about it. That way if they miss the deadline they can still release it later and people won't be claiming it was promised at release. ... ok thats wishful thinking.... but that is my guess on why he said maybe.

Wouldnt the pieces if you have both games have to be interchangable, that is if they are actually planning for COV villians to be able to go good, and heroes go bad. Otherwise you beast werewolfe montrous form villian goes good and gets transformed into a pig-tailed anime blonde school girl with a shoulder kitten.

If the costume options are available to both heroes and villains, that'd be the ONLY reason I'd buy CoV. I tried Beta, and personally it sucked. Reminded me of CoH with Villains. I just want hooved/goat legs, wings, different hairstyles, and better clothing options!

Sounds good so far, but how will those that don't own CoV see us heroes that are wearing those costume options?

If I'm wearing the cool looking open motorcycle jacket from CoV, will non CoV people see me in that jacket or will they see me with a random costume piece?

[/ QUOTE ]

They would have to see you wearing what you picked out. The reason is that if you don't own CoV you still HAVE to see the villains dressed normally. Therefore you will have to download all the CoV graphics even if you don't own it.

And to Statesman: PLEASE! If you add this in we will be ever so greatful. I know that your statement is only a "Maybe" but I hope you can come through on this one. If your goal is to stay true to comic books, you must make this happen. There are far too many anti-heroes(as someone else pointed out) for CoH to not get these costume options. This would be another reason for me to actually want to buy CoV.

Make it so!

To be honest it would work.

For those complaining about skulls, bones and chains not being appropriate for Heroes? Ghost Rider, Vengeance, Spawn...

What about Monstrous? Toxin, Venom, Feral.....

Not all heroes are shiny goody two-shoes and not all villains are darkity-darks.

Yes! The difference between a hero and a villain is only ever skin deep. Evil is always obvious and good is never flawed.

Thats exactly what i think , the costume options and my own little customizable base are mostly the only reason why i so want CoV . I will just keep playing in the CoH version because i just prefer the heroes AT ( the CoV ATs couldnt get me interested , i tried them all and i dont like much how they play at low-mid level , theyre not tough enough , i prefer the CoH scrapper , defender , controller and tanker versions ) . Also , i feel the CoH city to give me more places to go , it looks less linear , in CoV i feel everyone is getting the same missions and going in the same direction , i prefer the Atlas Park version with north, south , east and west exits .

Anyway , the costumes are really the things i liked the most in CoV and if they get in CoH ill be most happy

Yeah , and in CoV , villains also goes against villains , so youd better use something else than how they look to see if they are hostile lol
