Thank you for the update, Posi.

I'm not sure if it helps the people that got hurt by ED the most, but it's nice for some of the other folks, I guess. Less slotting of the end-red, and adding slows instead to my ice blaster.

Hmmm that helps a little, but I am not going to say that is the answer to the ED issue.

Ok, well that will help offset the Stamina nerf, but how about everything else? Having endurance really won't help me if I can't do much damage or can't defend my team effectively.

Isn't this akin to offering a free toaster with every gunshot wound? It doesn't really take the sting out of something being forced on you against any illusion of free will you might have...

Well, seeing how I'll be diversificating End Reduction Enhancements into all of my powers... This is nice and all, but meh. Thanks anyway.

See this kills me why didnt he put that in his original notes. Not that by any means does this make me less angry at how the devs have handled this whole situation, but it would have soften the blow a tad bit.

Better. Now, you're getting closer to a reasonable change. Do the same thing to damage rates, and this starts to look downright positive.


The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.

What about recharge reduction, and the base values of powers being brought back up from their reductions in i4/i5?

While I do hate perma-hasten and having my glowing hands, I like that it provides me with powers to use and the ability to do more than attack 3-4 times and then wait for my Super Hero attacks to recharge.

So... let's see. Fire Shield and Plasma Shield.

They take, if I recall recorrectly, Damage Res, End Reduc, and Recharge Reduction.

The recharge times on them are trivial, to say the least.

So now I get an end usage bonus. The end cost of them was already ok.

So. I'm still stuck with a tanker with 50% resistence.

That's what, about what a scrapper can expect?

Oh yeah, my damage doesn't scale.

Doh.

So. Any suggestions about how I need to build my tanker now?

I mean, really. I was able to take the Burn nerfs since I knew I could still tank for my team.

Now I don't even have that to cling to.

He's gonna be a crappy scrapper now

Because the original post was for the City of Villains forums and was just cut and pasted by CuppaJo?

Because it slipped his mind?

Because it was a recent change due to their internal testing?

Because he hates us and wants to drive us all away, thus depriving him of his income?

Because everything is the fault of the Japanese Yakuza who buy weather sattelites from the Ruskies and uses them to create hurricanes, natural disasters, Ale 8 One, and other horrible events?

Probably because they didn't plan to do it until today.

It does help. What it doesn't help, is the lower damage and lowered resistances, people are gonna have cause of ED. While the enemies still do just as much damage, hit just as easily, and have their damage resistance, unaffected.


Come on devs, art guys, where is my Maid costume for my characters! 5 years now, its a simple request.

Hey, while your at it

Can all attack Powers get a 13.33% increase in Damage?

Oh, and how about a all Defence Powers get a 13.33% increase in Defence?

How about we just increase everything by 13.33%!

and maybe later Monkeys will fly out of my....well you know what I mean

Thank you. Anything that reduces the need for Stamina at level 20 (and slots at levels 21, 23, and 25) for every hero I build is a step in the right direction.

While you're at it, a nice Quality-of-Life feature would be for the Combat tab "Activating <power>" message to say exactly how much endurance that power is using, something like "Activating <power> for <end> endurance.". A flat number for clicks, and a per-second number for toggles.
